Leak and rumor discussion.

I was thinking that same theory as well, since it could have been potential to develop Alola after the league was established, but I guess the trials are here to stay if that's the case. I do hope they are improved this time, because I was slightly disappointed by how some of them played out in S/M.

Trials will be back for sure, but I was still hoping we'd get Gyms alongside them. This doesn't mean for certain Gyms aren't coming back, but I can't really see how else they'd incorporate them into USM unless the other empty plots are used for Gyms and more space becomes available with new islands.
 
I don't think gyms are happening. Not for this gen. Trials are alola's thing so just have to accept it.
 
I don't know where I stand on prefering Trials or Gyms, both are fun and work, but I'm going to lean more torwards Trials returning this time, simply because I can't see Alolans wanting to disregard their tradition just because there's a League now. Of course, that has to factor in that this is or isn't the same dimension as SM for whether they are willing or even if they had done Trials first to begin with.

Also I wish that Mimikyu form stuff was real.... dang... :'D
 
They could always just include gyms as part of the post-game content, which could offer an explanation for the building that looks like Vermillion Gym. Ryuki decides to bring some replicas of gyms to showcase his region, or other regions in general, or something. He does have a traditional Japanese name, and Kanto is based on part of Japan. That "leaked" image - isn't it just straight out of the trailer?? - doesn't have to mean the end of gyms in Alola.
 
So far no rumor or leak has come true. More reason to wait for legit info.

There has barely been any leaks or rumors, except fake scans.
 
I heard that there might be a Nintendo Direct on September 13th. Another thing to note is that one of the Sun and Moon trailers was removed from the Japanese YouTube account. It's the trailer that showed the CGI Solgaleo and Lunala where we got a brief glimpse of Samson Oak.

I don't know if that Nintendo Direct will be related to Pokemon though, but if what you said regarding one of the Japanese S/M trailers being removed is true, maybe it'll explain the new Solgaleo and Lunala forms more since we never knew much more about them when they were revealed.

And then there's also CoroCoro likely leaking soon as well.
 
Prediction: there is either no nintendo direct or the nintendo direct has nothing related to USUM.

Is this a trailer that's fairly new, or is it an old one? That is kinda strange, I do have a feeling we'll get something this month regardless.
 
I doubt it. At this point, we get more info when games are released and when the coverage on them starts.
 
It's an old trailer that came out around September 7 of last year. It was only released in Japan, but it was the first time that we saw Samson Oak. The last Nintendo Direct that had some Pok?mon information in it was the Direct on September 1 of last year and that revealed Alolan Rattata, as well as the signature Z-moves of Alolan Raichu and Snorlax.
