Looking back- 2005

    The year is coming to a close soon...so let's look back at the year full of events big and small. Some fun, some horrible. Some making the news headlines and some as gossip amongst friends.

    For all of you, what has made this year special to you? A good memory? Bad one? Is it something personal, or would you rather just reflect on the year in general? Whatever you wish.

    With me, this year has been the best. I graduated, and am now the first to graduate ever. Quite an accomplishment. This made year 2005 one of the best. And then you have the bad events...like New Orleans (which was very horrid for one story I heard >.o).
     
    It was split for me, I had a lot of good things happen, but just as many bad things. I lost a lot of close friends and a lot of bad things happened in the world. I finally got myself into a college though, sorta, but it's better than where I was last year. In the grand scale of things...2005 sucked.
     
    2005 was a decent year for me. ._.; There were some good things and some bad things for me.

    GOOD:
    ~ Made more friends ^^
    ~ Went to Washington DC, that was great!
    ~ Raised a C to a B (almost an A!)
    ~ Survived school

    BAD:
    ~ We had to move from our house, and that was extremely stressful at the time. (Our new house is okay though)
    ~ Going to Washington DC screwed up my grades -- I couldn't make up some of the work.
    ~ My glasses broke, and that was yet again a stressful time.
    ~ Heck, I've just had a bunch of stress the last couple of months, between school, my stepdad and here. o_o;

    As for world events... yeah, New Orleans was terrible. And then, you'd always hear about it on TV. It got kinda old after awhile, which sounds like a terrible thing to say ;_;
     
    this year sucked i lost my grandpa back in october and my mom froced me to move to ohio away from some of the greatest friends becasue of her peice of crap boyfriend who i hate so much
     
    2005 was an okay year. I guess...

    GOOD:
    -I made it through football season(even though I missed one game, I made a comeback)
    -Finally got to meet my cousins who pwn. XD
    -Yadayadayada

    BAD:
    -Katrina
    -Eddie Guerrero and Richard Pryor passing away (along with many others this year).
    -Yadayadayada

    I'll edit later or something. XD
     
    The Good:
    ~ I got a new laptop.
    ~ After a year and a half I got my permit.
    ~ New games and a new system (2 if you count a new PS2, but I got one a few years back).
    ~ A good many new friends on PC.

    The Bad:
    ~ I still haven't got DSL.
    ~ I'm still flat broke (XD).
    ~ Friends leaving on PC.
    ~ Getting really stressed out by the n00bs and "members" of PC.

    I guess all around 05 was a even year. Everything is pretty much even so I can't say it was a good or bad year.

    2005 sucked for me.

    Good:
    - I became a Community Supporter.
    - I didn't get banned.
    - I learnt some HTML.
    - I started my own website (Smash Palace).
    - I'm now 1 stripe away from Black belt in Taekwondo.
    - I got 1.38m in high jump.

    Bad:
    - This year was the last year of primary school. :(

    Good Stuff~
    ~Got a chance to mod PC for about 10 months
    ~Made many new friends both online and off, as well as strengthened old friendships
    ~Decided to take the APUSH challenge :O
    ~Hooked up with one of my best friends <33~
    ~I turned 16!!! 8D

    Bad Stuff~
    ~The death of Zeus, my pet Bearded Dragon ;-;
    ~Almost getting a C in APUSH...but then realizing that my teacher made a mistake, raising my grade to a B XD (which, as it seems, goes from bad to good...whatever)
    ~Having one of my mom's friends pass away

    Well that's all I can think of, for the really important stuff anyway. X3 All in all, 2005 wasn't that bad of a year for me. At least with all the bad things that happened, there were enough good things to really balance it out. XD

    *bump*

    This was the biggest year of my life, but also the worst year of my life. I'm just gonna copy everyone else and sort it into good and bad.

    The Good
    -Finally got a faster computer after 2 years of suffering with my slow piece of ****.
    -Found the site of my dreams (if you don't know this, you've been living under a rock).
    -I somehow managed to make it into year 9.
    -I learnt how much of a noob I was and took it upon myself to change.
    -I discovered how to do something very naughty with myself. (I just had to say it. XD)

    The Bad
    -My aunty passed away. It's the worst feeling I've ever experienced, especially considering I didn't talk to her very much at all, and because of that, was no longer able to.
    -I was modded here. I just regret ever accepting it in the first place, it caused so much stress. And after going from a mod to a normal member, PC just isn't the same.
    -Many friendships broke apart.
    -Many people I enjoyed being at PC with either left or were banned.
    -I was banned. (And I know none of you expected me to list that here.) Actually, it's quite good being banned, because you're physically unable to return to PC. But because of that I discovered that my friends here either simply didn't care that I was banned, or could do little more than tell me how much they wanted me back (which was really annoying, I didn't want to come back, but I'd feel guilty otherwise having heard that).
    -I almost failed the year and had to repeat. Although I was mostly to blame for this, missing almost a month of school before people start to notice really doesn't make fixing things up easier at all.
    -My mother was hospitalised twice.

    So, yep, 2005 sucked.
     
    GOOD:
    Left Pc
    Got Better at spriting
    Made a good friend (matt)
    Learned to fly. *shot*
    Discovered Smells Like Teen Spirit
    got my DS
    found my Ds
    Fixed my Ds

    Bad:
    Came Back to pc
    placed an underserving second in a sprite contest
    forgot how to fly *shot*
    Made a crappy comic (ato) ??;
    moved house left a lot of precious memories and friends behind.
    Got to my new school.
    Did the English Civil war AGAIN
    did queen elizabeth the first AGAIN
    lost my DS
    Broke my Ds

    Hmm... Wasn't really too much, just an average year.

    (-Good-)
    -I was modded (on January 1st, actually, a year today! XD)
    -I was S-modded
    -I was Praetored
    -I got my laptop
    -I met Rachel (Strider/Ookami), and Mari~
    -I made the honour role for Grade 9
    -I got my first cellphone >o

    (-Bads-)
    - My grades have dropped about 20% because of PC activity
    -A few of my friends became corrupt
    -My mother and sister became horse obsessed, which is so darn annoying
     
    Good~
    - I met a lot of fantastic people in real life and on PC. <3 I love each and everyone of them!
    - I finally managed to talk my parents into buying me a horse, and now we have two. o__o
    - My grades are improving. =D
    - I had the honour of being a moderator. :33
    - I turned 13. X3
    - I got a pet rat. XD

    Bad~
    - I had to quit moderating here at PC, due to the fact that I got a horse and I couldnt do my job because of lack of time.
    - I have lost some of my friends~
    - (And to add to David's last little comment there...) David is on the computer so much that he doesnt have the time to hang out with his family once in a while and always complains when my parents make him hang out with us. Also, he is always yelling at me. ><
     
    Mmm... this last year's been up and down... I've done a lot of character growth this year... first year of high school, for a start. Got banned, then staffed. I've made more friends this year than I've ever made in my life. I've been depressed for the bulk of this year, but I'm happy again now~ We kicked my father out, and my mother's had skin cancer cut out, and he's been on drugs, etc. etc. etc.... so much drama! x.x; Heck, even today... but anyway, this year's been pretty crappy in comparison, but I've had a heap of fun anyway. <3
     
    Good things and bad things have happend, and even ugly stuff. . .

    • -(The Good)-
    • I lost a friend of mine but we became friends again not to long ago.
    • My niece was born, and she is very cute. :D
    • I made alot of friends over this past year, and I'm now know as "Mr.Popular" -(words of my sister and my friend Mary)
    • I am now old enough to work as a life-gard this summer witch will rock.
    • I might be able to get a car, but I'll have to work alot for the money.
    • I bought Ashlee Simpsons new CD!! w00t w00t!!
    • I was able to work in the PTC center. -(twice baby!! w00t!!)
    • I write poems and songs now.
    • We got a puppy, hes so cute!!
    • I am now 16!!
    • I changed my name from (Raven) to Raven's Phoenix, and then again to Lust's Veyron.
    • I learned how to sprite, and I'm good at it.

    • -(The Bad)-
    • My parents splitting up, witch really really sucks a$$.

    • New Orleans being flooded.
    • I had my first ever girl-friend, but we broke up. -(I'm not to sad about it, we're still really good friends :D)
    • An ex-friend of mine stole a game I was barrowing froem Midori Chi. -(thank goodness I got it back)

    • My brother let his friend barrow our Game Cube for about 4 to 5 months!!

    Good things:

    Got my DS back

    I finally saw Chronicles Of Narnia in the cinema

    Winning two times at the Rotten Tomatoes photoshop contest, and getting a runners up, and it was the first time I did it!

    I bought Eurovision Song Contest 2005

    Saw Jean Michel Jarre's 2005 China conert on DVD

    Saw Kraftwerk's first concert on DVD Minimum Maximum

    Bad things:

    Broke my DS

    It did not snow Christmas Eve

    My mother got a brain tumor
     
    The Good
    1. I started participating in a very great game where I met a lot of people who are no very close to me.
    2. I fell into some very good relationships.
    3. I became friends at school with some awesome people who are now my best friends.
    4. I started writing poetry and getting used to showing it to people more.
    5. I came back to forums and my MSN.
    6. I made quite a few more friends on MSN. XD
    7. Oh! Can't believe I almost forgot this one! I went to go see the King Tut exhibit in LA and saw some amazing things! It was amazing.
    The Bad....Very bad....and Even worse. XD
    • My uncle died ...on my birthday no less.
    • I lost my internet connection for about 3 months March.
    • I was abandoned by a very good friend of 7 years.
    • I was without the internet again for another 3 months over the summer.
    • I had summer school for the first, probably not last time, ever XD
    • My grades dropped a lot from all my online things.
    • I actually got sick sick for once instead of faking it to get out of school.
     
    So it would seem we all had lame years eh? Well, here's to 2006.
     
    The Good

    1. Came to PC and made many new friends =D
    2. Left Neopets
    3. Managed to get good SATS results.
    4. I got into doing Pixel Art.
    5. I got modded.

    The Bad:

    1. A family member passed away during the year.
    2. Hearing about these Tragedies that went on around the world.
    3. I fell out with a few good friends at school.
    4. Something that I wish not to talk about
    5. Something that I wish not to talk about
    6. Got into repetitive rows with my parents concerning personal matters.

    More bad than good. But I suppose what's done is done. I hope 2006 will be a more better year.
