    PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- A Florida man is accused of hitting his girlfriend in the face with a sandwich while she drove, knocking her glasses off her face, reported WPBF-TV in West Palm Beach, Fla.

    Emmanuelle Rodriguez, 19, is charged with domestic battery and child abuse for the incident that occurred Friday while he, his 19-year-old girlfriend, Brittany Gonzales, their 7-month-old son were on Interstate 95 traveling to their new apartment in Fort Pierce, Fla.According to an incident report, the boy was asleep in the back seat when Rodriguez became angry and began striking Gonzales in the face with a sandwich. Police said Gonzales was screaming for him to stop because she couldn't see and thought she was going to lose control of the car.Gonzales told police he then ripped the rearview mirror off the windshield and began hitting the windshield with the mirror. She said she exited the interstate and told Rodriguez to get out, leaving him for his mother to pick him up.

    Rodriguez admitted to police that they were arguing and he didn't want to hit her, so he threw a sandwich in her face instead, the report said.He was arrested and transported to the St. Lucie County Jail. He's free on $7,500 bail.

    I find this very hard to digest. Did he load the sandwich with a club or something? I mean, hitting a woman's a major no-no but if the sandwich sucked, toss it out the window, not hit someone with it!
     
    I doubt he could even find a club in the car anyway, haha.

    Holy crap I would PAY to hear the conversation he had with his mom.

    "Hey, mom? I need a ride. My girlfriend just kicked me out, I'm on I-95."
    "What happened, are you okay?"
    "Yeah... I'm fine... I just hit her in the face with a sandwich and she got mad."
    "................what."
     
    Pity the car didn't crash. Would've been terrible for the girlfriend, but brilliant for the idiot.

    Some people need common sense.

    Dang. What was that guy's problem? All of the sudden he just started hitting her with a sandwich?!! Why not his hands...yeah I guess if he hit her with a sandwich she won't press charges. Yeah right! I am sorry you can't beat up your domestic partner like that. What I really hate is Domestic Abuse. I really hate when a husband beats up his wife. Or a boyfriend beats up his girlfriend. That makes me sick.

    Why was it child abuse?
    I mean I understand battery but it never says he assaulted the child did it?

    He put the child's life in danger, since he could've easily caused a car accident, putting the kid at possible harm.

    That's the only explanation I can come up with for a Child Abuse charge.

    Kind of crazy, but funny at the same time! XD

    But seriously, sandwich assault?
