The first route coming from the starter town to the first big city. pretty simple but you have to start somewhere. I think its a little bare towards the bottom. I would appreciate some ideas on how to fill it. I also notice the tile error with the trees in the upper left hand corner. I need to know how I can fill in the top with trees.

Needs work... the rocks are too straight, the beach follows it perfectly, which in 99% of cases is not good. The slender trees connecting is off, and also... well.. there is no exit. nevermind, read comment xD

Comments: It's been a while since I mapped so I just freshened my skills a bit. So i'm not expecting any high ratings from you guys. Dont notice the withe part's near the stairs on the bottom I just forgot about them but I'm a bit too lazy to fix it.

Too much open space and I think there is too much vegetation (as in flowers). Erase some of those flowers and put an extra house or two in there. The trees also look a bit sqaure-ish so you may want to try to mix it up a bit. Its a decent map. I give it a 5/10.

1) The bench with the tree directly behind it looks a bit funky to me.
2) The bush to the left of the top-right house looks out of place.
3) I would cut back on SOME of the trees surrounding the top-right house.
4) I know there is such thing as a map being too open. But it is also possible for a map to be cramped a bit. I think that is the thing with your map. Move some trees back and the map should look a lot better.

I give your map a 7/10. Nice work.

P.S. Can anybody give me a link to the Map Critiquing Tutorial thread? It will be greatly appreciated.

Oh yea :P foun something xD The [dunno how to say this] light pole next to the gym it stands a bit weird it's infront of the stairs.. and the one near the beach a bit weird place to.. But further it looks amazing :D My rating 9.5/10 [nothing is perfect]

Haha! That is quite the improvement there, pal. I guess my teachings payed off. The only thing that can use work here is the row of trees. Maybe thicken it up at parts... Spectacular, yet simple! I love it

There are a lot of empty spaces, and the map is kind of square.
Try distributing the houses more, and organize the flowers n a random way. I do not like the bottom of the map, for the path between the trees in very wide.
Rating: 6/10
