Thanks for the replies! It's nice getting good feedback on my first published map. :D
Anyways, I brushed up on the map a bit in the last few hours. Here's my take on it.(Don't mind the spoilers if I'm not addressing you, I'm just rambling)
@ colcolstyles,
Thanks for the advice!
@ pokestick,
Thanks for the help!
ANYWAYS, in addition, I'd like to point out specifically my use of sideways stairs. It's pretty hard trying to find/make sideways stairs in a 3rd gen rom without making them look ridiculously out of place or take up too much space (diagonal does that). However, in my personal opinion, working with only forward stairs is a nightmare. I like having creative freedom when I map out my ideas. If anyone wants to recommend some tiles for that, though, that would be an ENORMOUS help.
For those of you that will look at the first part of my post and say "tl;dr", enjoy the edited version of the starter town. Rate it as you wish, although it seems most of the obvious problems have already been accounted for. :P

@ colcolstyles,
Spoiler:
ohh man that bridge. That was my bad when moving the tiles over from the FR rom to my hack rom. I guess I left the bottom part out. Fixed. Yeah, I agree about the bottom corners of the cliffs. Toyed around with bottom layer tiles a bit, and decided to try something else. Maybe fixed? Tried filling up the beach a bit more, not sure how that turned out, though. Fixed? Sliced the stone/sand path connection on the bottom right. Fixed? Added some signposts (definitely agree on that, I guess those slipped my mind), and some flowers. Moved around the paths a bit to take out that rectangle shape from the center. As for the trees, I didn't really get to giving them too much shape (will probably do that later), but I don't really have any problem with the fences myself. In my experience, fences are usually pretty darn straight. But yeah, fences also ended up getting moved with the paths, so that's that.
@ pokestick,
Spoiler:
yyep looks like the guy before just took the words from your mouth, eh? But that's alright, you still pointed out some good things. Added some more rocks to the sea. Man, those border errors bug me. I try to watch out for 'em, but it looks like I forgot that top portion of rocks. Moved down and fixed. Everything else has pretty much been said by colcolstyles.
