There was a mysterious poster from last month showing the Mega Evolved Hoenn starters, as well as silhouettes of Lati@s and other Hoenn Pokémon, including Sableye prior to his Mega Evolution's reveal. Two of which were Flygon and Salamence, so you won't have to wait for long.

I don't like the pointy beard either. I would've preferred they added it to it's head or back to make it look like a horn, or a tail.

Metagross is a Psychic Type with the brain of a super-computer - he evolves into ARMS, arms made out of Arms.

He doesn't look to different to me. Just bigger arms and a... lower horn.

I say, Make him black and resist Dark and Ghost Again (or neutral, anyway)

Isn't it weird most of the silhouettes are the rumored Megas? We know Sableye and now Metagross are already confirmed but going by the rest of the silhouettes we are looking likely to get the following Megas: Flygon, Salamence, Shiftry, Ludicolo, Zangoose, Seviper, Camerupt and Sharpedo.

There's two pairs of version exclusives among them (Shiftry/Ludicolo and Zangoose/Seviper) and we know that Camerupt and Sharpedo are Maxie and Archie's respective ace Pokemon.
 
The problem with that poster is that anyone could slap Silhouettes of official artwork onto that thing.

The poster doesn't have silhouettes of new pokemon, just old ones, anyone can make that.

However, I AM getting a mega Ludicolo!!!!

Actually three if the Latis are exclusives like they were in RS. Well four if we consider Sableye and Mawile's dynamic...(of course Mawile isn't in the poster as it got her's in XY). Mega Camerupt and Mega Sharpedo could be exclusives, but at the same time they may not be. The evil team leader could give us their Mega stone as an apology while the opposite team's leader could give us their ace's stone as a thanks for stopping the evil team.

The lati@s are definitely confirmed. Sharpedo and Camerupt are also more or less confirmed (Archie's head and Maxie's glasses gave it away).

We recently got Sableye (a given, because Mawile got mega-ed in XY), and Metagross (more or less given - since we know that Steven is researching Mega Evolution and Metagross is his ace).

I would say that the poster COULD be the result of some really amazing speculation. Of course, it is a bit mysterious but many of them are more or less... confirmed.

We sorta already knew about the Lati's thanks to that person who also uncovered Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Eternal Flower Floette (aka AZ's Floette) and the two event Vivillon patterns (Fancy and Poke Ball) but you know I'm assuming they might keep the version exclusive status from the originals, which was the Lati appearing in the version of the opposite color as itself i.e. Latios in Omega Ruby and Latias in Alpha Sapphire.

And on the topic of Camerupt and Sharpedo, they weren't exclusives.

I know, I was referring to their Mega stones being exclusives, thus making their Megas exclusives a la Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y, but with different species in this case.
 
The poster hasn't been confirmed as legit, and I wouldn't call it 'amazing' speculation. Sceptile and Swampert were obvious, Sableye is Mawile's version exclusive counterpart, so rather predictable, and now Metagross, which wasn't too groundbreaking because Steven is shown with a Mega key in the official artwork from June's CoroCoro, now called his Mega Brooch, and Metagross is his ace Pokemon. Same with Camerupt and Sharpedo; both Archie and Maxie were shown in the trailer released at E3 with Mega keys on their clothing. Now, if the poster had a silhouette of, say, Masquerain, and it was just confirmed, that would be a pretty amazing coincidence. d:

Yeah, they're fan favorites, so to see them getting Megas is expected by a lot of us.

I've been hearing that the now released Corocoro scans confirm Steven as the champion. Now to see if Wallace is the last gym leader or if it's Juan, probably Wallace as they've been following RS closely (Delta Emerald may be a thing if they keep this up...as there's been no Emerald additions yet). I hope we get Mega Milotic. Maybe Wallace's page has Mega Milotic :3
 
I knew we'd get Mega Metagross! But now that we've gotten Mega Absol, Sableye, and Metagross I'm betting that we also get Mega Walrein and Mega Salamence so they all have a mega. I know that Phoebe's main Pokemon was Dusclops so idk, but it could change to Sableye or Mega Dusknoir can be a thing.

I'm also betting that this new Aarune guy has a Mega Flygon as well. ((Secretly wanted him to be the new Champ but ok)))
 
That poster does not have Milotic so it is definitely fake!!! :(

On a serious note, I'm skeptical about all the Pokemon on that poster getting Megas, especially since a majority are version exclusives. I dunno, it just doesn't seem like all the RS version exclusives would get Megas. Aside from the Latis, Sharpedo, Camerupt, and Flygon still seem like the most likely Pokemon to get Megas; Salamence is a maybe.

As for Mega Metagross, I think it looks pretty cool. Its "pointy beard" looks like it could really hurt if you get in its way, haha.

Actually if this issue of Corocoro is anything to go by Sydney's main is Shiftry (appearing by him in a scan while the rest also have their aces by them). I want to see if Dusclops or Banette is Phoebe's ace. I was almost as confused about her ace as Sydney's. If it's Banette Mega Banette for Phoebe, Mega Metagross for Steven, Mega Shiftry (I hope so) for Sydney, Mega Salamence (I hope so) for Drake, and Mega Walrein (please) for Glacia.

From the bits of Japanese I could read from the leak, it is confirmed that Steven will be the champion of the Hoenn region in ORAS.

Look at the second leaked image. The huge words at the side roughly translate to: the champion's pokemon, mega evolved! At the bottom of the second page (better seen with the first leaked image) it has the words チャンピオン (champion in katakana) next to Steven.
 
"Champion no Pokemon ga Megashinka!" - Referring to Mega Metagross.

Suppose each Elite Four member did get a Mega. I can see Sidney with either Shiftry or Absol (since it was his ace in RSE and already has a Mega), Phoebe with Banette or Sableye, Glacia with Mega Jynx (since it is possible + CoroCoro did hint at more Pokemon being in Hoenn) or Walrein, and Sidney with Mega Salamence. (Basically what ORaAS said XD)
