With the open world; Does this mean you've made something to just do base pokemon and make them have a chance of being evolved out in the wild? I feel like it would be hard balancing that with any other method.
Since the pre-alpha will be so short with deliberately contained areas you won't get to see much of it until later releases.
Kinda hard to explain without a wall of text, but this is basically how it works ~
At the beginning of the game, wild Pokemon levels are say between L2-L5. The levels are the same in every single area so that it doesn't matter where you go first. Once you advance a certain amount, levels in all areas will increase to say, L5-L8. They will keep increasing the stronger you get. Eventually this will stop, of course, can't have level 100 Pokemon running around in routes!
As for trainers, routes are periodically refreshed so that there's no shortage of trainers to fight.

That part makes sense, the issue was more about evolutions i suppose. Im sure you will work something out.
So will the trainers fully reset or is it just VS Seeker style optional rematches? If the first option, sounds like it could get annoying.
Will you be keeping the special starter from the old game? I really liked how that worked and would love to see it in the new version
