Berii, who was looking worriedly at Cassidy, looked back at Andrew after seeing her disappear. She listened to his question and shook her head.

"You go ahead, I'll catch up later." she said as she stood up. She waved at him and ran back to the girls' dorm. She checked her things again and made sure she didn't left anything.

Andrew nodded an "okay" to Berii, and watched her disappear up the steps to the girls' dorm. He got up from his chair, feeling a pang in his heart. He'd miss her over summer holiday.

Down in the Great Hall, he spotted Cassidy and Karli. He took a seat next to Cassidy, who had her hood pulled over her head. He knew she was close to breaking down, but he also knew she'd try her best to be cheery, to make this last day a good memorable one for her friends.

He heard Cassidy sniffle once, and then she looked over at him. Feeling his heart sink at her tear-streaked face, it was all he could do to look away. He wouldn't make her cry. Instead, he put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, Karli," he greeted kindly, his blue eyes trying to find some glimmer of happiness. "How did your exams go? Excited for summer holiday?"

Even though it was hard, I held back my tears.
"Hi Andrew...." I choked. "They went...fine thanks.....and no...I mean yes....kind of..."
I looked down at my hands, that rested on my lap. I went a little red, knowing how stupid I sounded.

Cassidy looked up, still shrouded in her hood, but shedding her personal concerns for concern for Karli. She wiped her eyes and cleared her throat.

"What's the matter?" she asked softly, pulling back her hood to look at her. She hoped her face wasn't too obvious...she hoped it wouldn't give her own unhappiness away.

Andrew remained quiet, looking down at his folded hands.

Some tears rolled silently down my cheeks.
"Its so different....with Johann gone, it just doesnt feel the same..." I said, still choking. I buried my face in my hands, and completly broke down.
"I dont want things to change anymore....everythings to different...I dont ever want to come back"

"Lots of things change," Cassidy told her softly, thinking of her own situation. "But that's out of our control. I know you miss Johann, but fate will bring you together again, if it's meant to be. Put it in a higher power, whatever it is. You'll feel better."

She realized then that what she had said was what she should have done, should be doing this very moment. Wallowing in her own pity wouldn't make today memorable. She wanted fond memories of her last day at Hogwarts, whether it was her last day until after summer holiday, or her last day here...ever...

Andrew nodded in agreement with Cassidy. He took a piece of scrap parchment from his pocket, borrowing a quill from a student next to him. He quickly wrote his home address in Scotland on the paper, and passed it to Cassidy, who wrote her father's address in Japan.

"I don't know if we'll have time to give this to you later," Andrew said after Cassidy had finished writng. He pushed the paper over to Karli gently. "But keep in touch with us over holiday, okay?"

I lifted my head. I smiled. I then hugged Cassidy, and then Andrew.
"I'll try...."

I got to Dumbledore's Office and knocked on the door. Dumbledore opened it.
"Ahh..." he said. "Mr Bates! I was expecting you!"
"Yes sir!" I said. "What's this about?"
"I imagine you looked at the album and wondered about you're parents?"
"Yes!" I said. "What happened?"
Dumbledore sounded calm as he said his answer. "Your parents were killed by Voldemort! They were doing work as Auras (OOC: sp?) and got attacked by Death Eaters. They got rid of most of them but Voldemort came after them! Luckily, your God Father was looking after you at the time. After hearing this, he put you in a Muggle orphanage and went after some Death Eaters. He got rid of some but Voldemort heard and wanted to kill him!" Dumbledore paused as I was about to cry. "Your Godfather went into hiding but he keeps in touch with me! He wanted to give you this for third term!" he showed me a note. "It's a note for Hogsmeade! You will be going next year! Now, before I say anything else, is there any questions you want to ask?"
"Yes!" I said. "In the album, it said Karen and John Granger! But my last name is Bates!"
"Oh!" Dumbledore said. "To avoid Death Eaters coming after you, we changed your name! Anything else?"
"What is my God Father's name?"
"Look on the note!"
I looked at the note. It was signed Christopher Guest.
"Any other questions?" asked Dumbledore.
"No!" I said. "What were you saying about next term?"
"Well," Dumbledore began. "you are taking ninty percent of the classes. So you will be discussing this with Professor McGonnagal at the start! Now go play with Miss linin, Miss Lanes or whomever you play with!"

I let go of Andrew, and looked at them both. My eyes were still watering.
"Thank you....you guys have been so kind to me. I will never forget your kindness"

"That's what friends do for each other," Andrew told her, as she released him from her hug. He smiled.

Cassidy nodded in agreement, and took her seat once more. Andrew sat down next to her, and they both looked around the room.

"I hope everyone gets here soon..." Cassidy said, trying to cheer herself up. "I'm starved!"

I sighed, and looked at the rows of tables. I then noticed my book was still lying in front of me. I shut it carefully, and slipped it back into my bag. I had stopped crying, but I hoped I wouldnt cry again tommorow. It would make things even worse.

After spending the rest of the day in my dorm, I went downstairs for the feast.
I walked over to Cassidy and Andrew.
"Bye!" I said trying to restrain tears.

I saw Dumbledore walk into the Great Hall. I then turned around and saw Josh. I smild at him, then turned my attention back to Dumbledore, who made his way slowly to his seat.

Cassidy and Andrew greeted Josh in unison, a strange occurance that had been occuring a lot lately...they both shrugged it off.

Cassidy looked up at Dumbledore as he took his seat with the rest of the Professors. Andrew lay his head on his folded arms, which rested on the table. He was clearly not in a very good mood. It didn't seem like any of them were, but Cassidy did her best to be cheerful. Her stomach rumbled in anticipation of the feast.

When will it start? I thought. I was running out of patience. I had hardly eaten anything all day, and I was starving.
I pulled out my Animagus medallion, and began fiddiling with it.

Like alot of other people in the Great Hall, I was starving! I hadn't had anything to eat since about the night before!

I put the necklace back into my pocket, and put my head on the table. Dumbledore stood up and began a speech.
"So here is the end of our year...."

OCC: Who wants to do Dumbledores speech!? I cant think of anything!

OOC: Fine I'll TRY!

BIC:
"... It's been very interesting!" Dumbledore said. "Prophecies, new students, and a good one left. As I have nothing else to say, let the feast... BEGIN!!!"
