i'm not sure if it's just me but i'm unable to see videos embedded into my profile. i tried swapping out the video and i also tried switching themes but nothing changed.

also not sure if you'll need a screenshot but:
    Spoiler:

i have the same problem. i can't see anyone's video on their profile, including mine. the only way i can see them is when i log out.

Be sure you place the end part of the url on the Youtube Profile field and nothing else.

The end part of the url is "xVq1oPKsquk" of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVq1oPKsquk. be sure it's just that.

If noooot, try clearing your internet cache and all that. Let me know if it's still not working.

i tried that but it still doesn't work. i can see it when i'm not logged in but once i log in it disappears.

i'm using chrome as well, tried it on another browser and i still can't see the videos.

i'm starting to think it might be problem for non-supporters only.

I'm a supporter with a Chrome browser and I can see videos just fine. But based on what you guys before me posted it appears that the visibility of embedded videos on profiles might be somehow restricted to staff and supporters only, with regular users being unable to see them.

I'm sure someone will look into this soon and see what's wrong.

If you can see it when you're logged out but can't when you're logged in then maybe it's caused by the theme you've set? Try changing into a different theme maybe? :/

You mentioned to me once that you use Let's Fly Together with the old nav bar, right? I changed to that theme and to Chromatic, and the videos is still invisible.

I have an alt that isn't a supporter so maybe I'll test that by logging into it for a bit and see if it's a usergroup problem.

Edit: I tested viewing my own profile from my alt (my profile has an embedded video as well btw) and everything was perfectly fine, so I'm assuming it could be an issue with forum skins and/or browsers. I'm using Chromatic for my forum skin and Google Chrome for my browser if you're wondering.

I can see your video in your profile.. do you have any add-ons or extensions that do YouTube things? A recent update to YT broke some forefox ones..

It is working for me as well.. but this test has supporters as well.. so stand by..

Looks like this must be a mystery then, but the mention of add-ons that affect YouTube could be the source of the problem. Guess that means I don't have anything affecting YouTube on my end, so I'm all good.

Checking with a non-logged in browser (opera in this case) it is showing up.. so has to be something on your end.. check plugins and extensions.
    Spoiler:

should be fixed now, thanks to sylphiel for figuring out what was wrong (turns out that the issue was on pc's end after all)

For those that are wondering what exactly it was, it was just a little oversight with one of the usergroups regarding the addon that handles youtube videos in profiles. Any other usergroup or even just a fully regular user with no privileges would have been able to see the videos, but a person in the registered users group that can see the member encyclopedia would not have been...which is why some people will have claimed to be able to see videos while others can't.

But as mentioned, fixed now anyway. :>

Nice find sylphiel - wouldn't have thought of that right away since it was working for regular (and even logged out / non members) just fine.
