So on I completed the challenge but I never got access to a computer so I still can't make a big update. But here's the screenshot to finish the challenge.

Update on Ultimate Blue Monocolor Challenge.

Update #1 on HeartGold.

Name: Skye (using girl character)
Rival: Silver
Starter: Chikorita (decided not to use Totodile for this run)

• Started with Chikorita and did the beginning part, then made my way to Violet City.
• Caught Dandie the Hoppip on Route 32, trained her up a bit till she learned Tackle, then defeated the Sprout Tower.
• Took on the gym, and challenged Falkner. Dandie used Synthesis and PoisonPowder to great effect here, and narrowly won.
• Moved south through Union Cave, and Dandie evolved into Skiploom!
• Arrived in Azalea Town, then defeated Proton and Team Rocket at the Slowpoke Well before taking on the gym.
• Bugsy was tough with Scyther, and it took several tries to win since Dandie only had Tackle and Leech Seed to attack with.
• Defeated Silver, then went into Ilex Forest, where I got the Cut HM and taught Dandie Headbutt.
• Went back to Azalea Town to Headbutt trees, and out popped Ringo the Heracross!
• Started training up Ringo while moving to Goldenrod City, then caught Regina the Nidoran♀ on Route 35.
• Continued leveling up two new members, and a couple levels later, Regina evolved into Nidorina!
• Eventually we challenged Whitney, who was easily soloed by Ringo's Brick Break.
• Went north to Ecruteak City, and after I deposited some money at home, Mom bought me a shiny Moon Stone!
• Immediately I used it on Regina, who evolved into Nidoqueen!
• Went inside Burned Tower, where I defeated Silver again and released the legendary beasts.
• Took on the Ecruteak Gym, which was ravaged by Regina's Bite attack, including Morty thanks to a bunch of Quick Claw attacks.
• Got the Surf HM, and used it to catch Kappa the Psyduck on Route 35.
• Went inside Dark Cave and Surfed to the Blackthorn side, where I nabbed Bobblehead the Wobbuffet (yes, really!).
• I am now saved on Route 38.

SURGE (Badge #2)
No, this is not a typo. This hack switches Misty to Vermilion and Surge to Cerulean. Very odd, I know!
-Darumaka and Conbusken take out the Raichu and others

-Go to Vermilion, do SS Anne event, crush my Rival again (I don't need to describe it, very easy fight.)
-Find a wild Scraggy (Scrafty is considered a Red Pokemon)
-Find a wild Voltorb (Also Red)
-Grind like CRAZY

All the grinding pays off, and Electrode goes off on Misty for an easy win.

Update on Ultimate Blue Monocolor Challenge.

Update #2 on HeartGold.

• Made my way to Olivine City, and Dandie evolved into Jumpluff!
• After scaling the Lighthouse, I realized I wanted to get Horsea as soon as possible, so I went to Mahogany Town and Lake of Rage.
• Followed Lance into the Team Rocket Hideout and defeated Petrel and Ariana there and get the Whirlpool HM.
• Challenged the gym, and swept Pryce with Ringo's Brick Break.
• Taught Whirlpool to Kappa, then surfed to the Whirl Islands to catch Amphitrite the Horsea.
• Trained her up on the trainers on the way to Cianwood City, defeated Eusine, then took on the gym there.
• Chuck was easily taken down by Dandie's Leech Seed/Sleep Powder and Headbutt/Mega Drain attacks.
• Flew back to Olivine City on a Pidgey and healed Amphy, then made my way to the Safari Zone.
• Went back to the Olivine Gym and defeated Jasmine with Bobblehead and Amphitrite.
• Team Rocket took over the Radio Tower, and while there, Amphitrite evolved into Seadra and Kappa evolved into Golduck!
• Got the Basement Key, defeated Silver down there, and saved the Director.
• Back in the Radio Tower, I defeated the rest of the Executives and Archer, disbanding Team Rocket for good.
• Made my way through the Ice Cave to Blackthorn City, and after defeating the trainers on Route 45, I took on the gym.
• Claire was a tough one to defeat, but Bobblehead was able to Mirror Coat Kingdra and the last Dragonair to win.
• Got the Badge in the Dragon's Den, then got a notice from Elm about the Kimono Girls.
• Went to Olivine City and defeated them, then scaled Bell Tower to Master Ball Ho-oh.
• Explored the back rooms of Mt. Mortar and picked up the Dragon Scale, which I used to evolved Amphitrite into Kingdra!
• Surfed to Kanto and Victory Road, where I beat Silver easily and reached the Indigo Plateau.
• After some Pokegear rematches and moveset editing, I took on the Elite Four.
• Will was defeated by Amphitrite and Kappa.
• Koga was mostly handled by Regina's Earthquake attack.
• Bruno was soloed by Ringo's Brick Break and Close Combat.
• Karen was the toughest so far, and took a team effort to defeat.
• Finally Lance was up, and Regina was able to OHKO two Dragonite with Avalanche, which made the rest of the fight much easier.
• I was inducted into the HOF, and am now saved at home.

2nd and FINAL update for my RED Monocolor in Yet Another FireRed Hack!

We resume after defeating Giovanni in Celadon Game Corner.

ERIKA (Badge #4)
-I have Darmanitan, Blaziken and Yanma. This one was a wrap.

-Defeat Rival in Pokemon Tower, Get Poke Flute, Snorlax bla bla bla.
-Safari Zone, Surf and Strength, yadda yadda.

KOGA (Badge #5)
-This hack switched up Koga's default team in favor of Pokemon such as Scizor, so more of Darmanitan and Blaziken. Pretty hard because most of his Pokemon had Swords Dance, Toxic and other annoying moves. Very narrow victory.

It's time for Sabrina!!!

SABRINA (Badge #6)
-I used a lot of Electrode. Thunder Wave slowed down her Alakazam and other fast Ghost/Psychics. Scrafty came in and cleared them up with STAB Crunch.

BLAINE (Badge #7)
Notice how none of the sidequests were noteworthy. Played Kanto so many times now that I hate typing the same things over and over again. Sorry about that. Back to badges!

-Earthquake and Darmanitan's Rock Slide owned Blaine's Fire types. He also had a Darmanitan, which replaces his signature Arcanine. GG Blaine, no hack can make your team powerful lol.

Time for.... Giovanni!

GIOVANNI (Badge #8)
-Now is the perfect time to talk about how the levels in this game have increased. Gio has ~Lv.70 Pokemon, and I have nothing that knows Water attacks, Ice attacks or Grass attacks. Tough fight that took more than three attempts.

Yanma (which can learn Psychic and other Special attacks in this hack) came through with Psychic to beat the Nidos, and Scrafty and Blaziken took care of the other Ground types.

RIVAL FIGHT
Tough one. Very tough one. I had to grind for hours to defeat my Rival at the Pokemon League. He had a Palkia, Hydreigon and Jolteon among others.

ELITE FOUR
Let's goooo! My Pokemon are in the mid 70's, which will be good enough to sweep the E4 and Champ.

LORELEI
Shoutouts to Electrode. Swept right through Ice/Water types with Flash Cannon and Thinder.

BRUNO
Basically another fight against Giovanni, because he has quite a few Ground types in addition to his Fighting types. I hate Hippowdon!!!

AGATHA
A lot of Ghosts and Dark types on Agatha's team in this hack. Scrafty was an ideal choice for this fight, whose Crunch took care of the Ghosts, and Hi Jump Kick for the Dark types.

LANCE
It took me ten attempts to finish Lance due to his Outrage Dragonite and his Aerodactyl. He has three Dragonites, and Aerodactyl and a Hydreigon to lead. Hydreigon went down with Scrafty, Darmanitan's Rock Slide took down the Dragonites, and Electrode defeated Aerodactyl.

Here it is. No big introduction is necessary here. Let's go to the fight.

Yet Another FireRed Hack has a pretty good postgame, but I've gotten tired of the game with the high levels and difficulty. Defeating the Champion was the only mandatory part of the challenge, so I'll stop there.

There's my starter. So I beat Shauna, got the Adventure Rules and headed north to Route 2, where Calem showed us how to catch Pokémon.

These are the first two Pokémon I can catch. Former was on Route 2, and latter was in Santalune Forest where I just so happened to find it randomly. So I got through Santalune Forest and arrived in Santalune City.

After beating the trainers on Route 22, I went to the Gym and made it to the leader.

Surskit was downed with two Pecks, but Vivilion took slightly longer. She beat Oregano thanks to Infestation, but Cheesy finished her off.

So I got my Bug Badge and left it off there.

Been meaning to get back to this for a long time, but here we go finally.

Y Red Mono-Color Challenge - Update #2

So last time I beat Viola fairly easily, then got the Exp. Share from Alexa, her sister.

However, I turned that off. That's too powerful for a challenge like this. I beat the trainers on Route 4, met Sina and Dexio and got TM27 for Return from them, and went to Sycamore's lab.

Indeed. The only concern of his was Squirtle, but Oregano took care of it. I got Charmander, which was a female, and named it Shrimp Steak. I got another Charizardite Y to go alongside it. I highly doubt i'm gonna use it though, because since this is supposed to be a challenge, I want to be creative.

Is Calem asking me out or something? Sure. :D But there I found Diantha and Lysandre, who said some stuff before leaving.

I did get Reena's…or Little Red, as her nickname is, hair dyed orange though, in spirit of this challenge.

So after that I went to Route 5 where I met Korrina's Lucario who seems to like me, and found Tierno who I beat his Corphish without too much concern. In the middle of the route, Cheesy evolved into Braixen. Then I made it to Camphrier Town and visited Shabboneau Castle, and headed to Route 7 where we found Snorlax snoozing on the road. I headed to Route 6 so we can get the Poké Flute to try to wake it up!

But first, I ran into this thing! With Scolipede being one of my three favorite Pokémon (the other two being Lapras and Houndoom), no way can I turn it down. I caught it and named it Jalapeno (I forgot to adjust the n in-game, yeah whatever). Anyway, I did all the stuff in Parfum Palace with the owner and his Furfrou, and was given the Poké Flute.

Then I caught an Oddish which I named Indonesia, because I read that Vileplume is based off a flower from there. (Maybe, it's been a little while, i'm a bit dry on this.)

With Sweet Scent in hand, I was able to get a Scraggy horde to show up. I caught one and named it Kung Pao. Then Oregano evolved into Fletchinder.

After a long while of not playing, I picked the game up again today and beat the Snorlax, then beat the trainers on Route 7 so I could catch Kung Pao and Indonesia up with the rest of my team.

These two were funny though. They had two Smeargle, and all six of my team ended up gaining full EXP from both of them. Afterward, Calem and I beat Tierno and Trevor. Then I headed back to Route 6 to battle some of the trainers that I missed. I got TM09 for Venoshock, which I threw onto Indonesia.

Then we had THESE two. They killed Kung Pao, and I was able to let both Jalapeño and Cheesy gain some EXP against them, so that was alright. I also forgot to grab the Quick Claw, so I went back to Lumoise and got that. Then I went through Connecting Cave.

Oddish vs Oddish matchup! Mine was better, though. I didn't get a Meditite in there, but it's not a huge deal. Then I found Sina and Dexio, beat a few trainers and made it into Ambrette Town. I went to the Fossil Lab with Calem, and was suggested to go into Glittering Cave.

I also caught a Sandile on Route 9 named Ranch.

Going through Glittering Cave, I eventually met Team Flare for the first time. Kung Pao and Cheesy made short work of the first grunt.

Hahaha, classic line. I made it to the end and fought the two grunts with Calem, and now is a good time to mention HOW STUPID he is. He could've easily killed Croagunk with his Espurr's Psybeam but NOOOOOO, he just lollygagged and used Light Screen. Leave the girl to do all the work, will you… Nevertheless, I got the Jaw Fossil.

Which I revived into a Tyrunt. I named it Cookie Crumb.

I was using Rock Smash and almost forgot about Dwebble, as well, since Crustle is in the Red color group. I caught this one and named it Bleu Cheese.

But I forgot to heal afterward, and here's the result of what this one girl's Psyduck did to my team. She kept confusing me and inflicting super-effective damage. I almost got swept by a PSYDUCK. Let that sink into your head for a little bit. Thank god this wasn't a Nuzlocke or I would've been infuriated.

While healing, though, I found out that Dwebble had an Impish nature AND Sturdy. Nice! So, I made it into Cyllage City, and went into the boutique.

There's Little Red now! Sorry her eyes are closed, though. I think she looks cute. I also got the Bicycle, and did a bit of training. I also ran back to Lumiose and got the TMs for Bulldoze and Swords Dance before getting too far ahead of myself. I also stopped by the Battle Chateau along the way.

Doing a bit of training, which wasn't too bad thanks to Sweet Scent and Bulldoze, I got everyone to Level 22 before entering the Gym. Jalapeño and Indonesia I got to become Whirlipede and Vileplume, respectively. I went to the Gym, and after beating the trainers rather smoothly, challenged the Gym Leader, Grant.

Amaura was a clean OHKO with Kung Pao's Brick Break. While Tyrunt took more than half, I was flinched second time by Stomp while he was doing 1/3 with it, but Ranch finished him.

With that, I got the Cliff Badge and TM39 for Rock Tomb, which I immediately threw onto Cookie Crumb, thank goodness. And I gave it to Ranch as well, then decided to stop there.

Y Red Mono-Color Challenge - Update #3

So last time, I beat Grant. Then I got some Team Flare grunts out of the way on Route 10 before arriving in Geosenge. I saw another Team Flare grunt there, and dealt with Korrina and her extremely irritating Lucario duo. Not a fun time when half your team is weak to Fighting! Anyway, she said more stuff before leaving, and I was free to head to Route 11.

THROH! Big and beefy! I caught it with help from Indonesia, and named it Ground Beef. I fought the trainers, including that stupid Mr. Mime and Machoke duo, which Indonesia, interestingly enough, was able to knock out the Mr. Mime with Poison Barb boosted Venoshock in one hit.

And the next day while I was playing on a Saturday, I picked up these clothes at Cyllage City, because those colors are perfect for this theme.

Yay i'm so pretty! ^^ Completely RED-designed. (Bad pun is bad.)

But with that, we went back to Reflection Cave. Most of the trainers were relatively simple…

Except THIS one, with the Throh and Hawlucha. First time the latter basically swept my team because of two critical hits in a row, and it was just so stupid, you have no idea. I didn't even fight her second time. There was a Black Belt with a Sawk, who wasn't as much trouble after Ranch's Intimidate while I had Indonesia. I eventually made it into Shalour City.

I got some nice items, including the Eviolite, and went to the Tower of Mastery, met Korrina's grandmother, and they talked about Mega Evolution.

Then I battled Calem. The Meowstic wasn't too much of a hassle since I had some coverage, and Frogadier was easy for Indonesia as well. Absol easily died to Jalapeño.

Then I took on the Gym.

Most of these trainers really gave me a friggin' headache. I had to go back and heal after almost every battle. Once I was done with them, I stepped forth to fight Korrina, the Gym Leader.

Korrina:

The Mienfoo wasn't too bad, and for Machoke I did more than half with Psybeam, but she missed with Rock Tomb. As for Hawlucha, Psybeam did less than half, and she boosted with Hone Claws before killing me, then I had Ranch weaken her with Intimidate. I brought in Indonesia, but I forgot about Flying Press being part super-effective against me, however it was only neutral and did less than half. She wasted both her Hyper Potions and on a turn she was boosting with Hone Claws, I killed her with a critical hit Venoshock.

So after that, I did the usual stuff with the Mega Evolution, and Calem gave me HM03 for Surf. I had nothing that could learn it, though, so I got the Lapras and taught it Surf. I avoided most of the trainers on Route 12 briefly, but in between then Jalapeño reached Level 30 and became a Scolipede. Yay!

STUPID MAGIKARPS!!!!!!! Anyway, I got the Good Rod along with some Incense, met with Sycamore and Diantha in the monorail station, then after freeing up a slot in my party I went to Route 12 to get another team member.

Remoraid! I have used Octillery in Black 2 before, so i'm hoping this ends up being fun to use here. I caught it and named it Calamari. Then I taught Calamari Surf, got the Lucky Egg and Leftovers, and trained him for a bit to get him to evolve and catch up with the rest of the team. I also totally forgot Poison Jab at Shalour City, but no big deal. Grabbed that and gave Jalapeño's moveset a makeover. I trained everyone to at least 30.

I did have to fight Calem, though. He was just sad. I had Ranch beat his Meowstic without much concern, then with Frogadier he used Quick Attack and I lowered his Speed with Bulldoze before killing me. Then Kung Pao finished him off. Jalapeño took care of the Absol. So I went through the Gym, beating the trainers, and Kung Pao learned High Jump Kick, which is great. I eventually made it to the Gym Leader!

This was a rather interesting fight. I led with Calamari because not only was half my team weak to Flying, but I had Aurora Beam so I could at least try that. He missed with Acrobatics first turn because of the Lax Incense, but lived my attack, then when he healed I killed him. As for Weepinbell, he used Poison Powder first turn, then I almost killed him with Psybeam, he healed again, and I knocked him down, and he used…Gastro Acid. Then for Gogoat, he killed me with a critical hit Take Down, and Jalapeño 2HKOed him with Poison Jab.

After that I did the business with the Power Plant. The grunts were SO ANNOYING, you have no idea. I was running really low on Potions, and didn't want to buy Fresh Water until the price was lowered to 100P. Doesn't help that for almost every grunt, I would have the wrong lead to use against them (I was trying to train up Cookie Crumb for one since he didn't get any action between Korrina and Ramos). Thankfully I made it to the admins, and beat them without too much of a concern. Then Sina and Dexio came, said some stuff, healed me up and gave me two Full Restores. I then got a ton of Fresh Water from the clerk. After leaving, I found AZ and entered Lumiose City.

It was me, because i'm amazing. Anyway, we watched Lumiose Tower light up.

Anyway, I went through the Gym, not having too much to say about the trainers, although an Ampharos was a bit of a hassle. Then we took on my favorite Gym Leader in the game, Clemont.

Not too terrible, but he was a bit of a ditz. Emolga was still faster after -1 Speed from Rock Tomb, and Heliolisk just used Quick Attack against me while I 2HKOed him. For Magneton, I knocked him to Sturdy before he killed me, and I brought in Cheesy, but I unfortunately knocked him to healing point and he used Electric Terrain, and Ember wasn't doing enough to 2HKO. So I brought in Tyrunt who was OHKOed by Thunderbolt, despite resistance, and I had Jalapeño finish him with Bulldoze.

After that, I got the Voltage Badge and TM24 for Thunderbolt, which is great. Sycamore told me to go to Lysandre Cafe, but I had to stop after the battle because my 3DS' battery was about to die.

You can't start with Porygon, since Jigglypuff and Clefairy are obtainable before the second gym as per the rules.

Wow, two posts in one day. Whatever, want to get through this quick.

Y Red Mono-Color Challenge - Update #4

So last time, I beat Clemont. I made it through Route 14, beating Calem along the way without much trouble. Before getting far into that route I went back to Azure Bay to grab the TM for X-Scissor, and while there Cheesy evolved into Delphox.

I also caught a Shelmet named Mussel which I can evolve into Accelgor if I want. After a bit of training, I made it into Laverre City and took on the Gym, not fighting any trainers along the way.

As for Valerie, Mawile I beat with two hits from Calamari. Mr. Mime took a small hit from Surf before killing Calamari, then I had Jalapeño finish it off. Sylveon used Charm after taking 2/3 or so from Poison Jab, then I brought in Cheesy and used a few Psyshocks before I almost fainted. Then I brought in Indonesia, who eventually finished her off.

Then we did the Poké Ball Factory, the grunts there had a few annoying things but nothing too bad. After that I went through Route 15, and Cookie Crumb evolved into Tyrantrum.

Get out of here, nub, think you can use Vileplumes? Only i'm allowed to do that. After getting to Dendemille Town, I flew back to Cyllage City to get some Heart Scales, then headed to Connecting Cave and caught a Meditite named Pepperjack. I retaught Megahorn to Jalapeño, then went to grab Bleu Cheese, my Dwebble, to train her up, since I thought she might be useful. I went to Route 16, doing switch training for her. Then I headed to Frost Cavern.

Not an ideal sight if this was real life! Anyway, I made it through the cave, trudging with my levels but getting through it slowly. Nothing too terrible, except maybe one Battle Girl, but still not bad. While there, Bleu Cheese evolved into Crustle, and I retaught her Shell Smash. And I used her and Cheesy against the two with Grumpig and Hariyama rather effectively despite being only Level 36 (she gained two levels in the fight).

Afterward, I rode Mamoswine through Route 17 to Anistar, where I beat Calem. After some training and bringing back Kung Pao, and getting her to evolve into Scrafty, I took on the Anistar Gym. The trainers weren't too much concern. One of them had a Medicham that used High Jump Kick against Jalapeño, missed and died from it. xP

Then we got to Olympia. Sigilyph took over half from Calamari's Ice Beam, but I brought in Ranch to finish it off. After Slowking Yawned him, I brought in Jalapeño and OHKOed her (after she healed) with Megahorn. Then for Meowstic, Kung Pao 2HKOed her with Payback.

Upon leaving, I heard of Team Flare's plan to revive the ultimate weapon. So I trained everyone to Level 44 except Kung Pao, who was still 42.

I got to Lysandre Labs and battled him. Kung Pao did surprisingly well, but for his Gyarados I had to get strategic with Bleu Cheese and Shell Smash. I went through the labs and battled the grunts, then the ultimate weapon was revived. So I headed to Geosenge Town!

There's me chilling in front of the ultimate weapon. Don't mind me, just ready to save the world. :)

Anyway, I beat Lysandre again, even though Pyroar was still faster than Bleu Cheese after a Shell Smash. For Gyarados, I let Calamari be death fodder while he was locked in Outrage, used Shell Smash and killed him and Honchkrow with Rock Slide. So I went through the halls, beat the admins in the final depths, and caught Yveltal after a little bit of time. Then Lysandre challenged me once more.

Mienshao was an easy kill for Cheesy's Psyshock. Pyroar was downed by Kung Pao's High Jump Kick. Honchkrow killed Kung Pao but I brought in Bleu Cheese, easily survived a Steel Wing, used Shell Smash and killed him with Rock Slide. Then for Mega Gyarados, he survived a +1 X-Scissor (because of Intimidate) and killed me, but Calamari barely survived an Outrage and finished him with Signal Beam.

So Lysandre activated the ultimate weapon, but we escaped from its power.

Then Sina and Dexio were outside, and Team Flare was no more. Calem said some stuff before leaving, and AZ showed up talking about the flower Pokémon, before leaving as well. I healed up and stopped there.
