Monthly Video Game Showdown - Dream Smash Bros. Newcomer! (Winner: Banjo & Kazooie!)

As for me...

Even though I nominated Skull Kid, in my heart, I know that I want Banjo & Kazooie most of all. It would be a childhood dream come true.
 
My vote is going to Banjo and Kazooie. As interesting as it would be to have Skull Kid, I'd like representation for this game. Zelda series has plenty in Link, Toon Link, Zelda, Shiek, and Ganondorf. I mean damn, that's five. Banjo and Kazooie would be fun, especially since we no longer have Ice Climbers.

I'm honestly really torn on this one. I love both characters so there's a lot of factors in which to make this decision. Firstly, Banjo is an amazing character and surely belongs with the Smash franchise. However, with the addition of the Duck Hunt Dog as BK's spiritual successor, it would almost seem like it would be a clone at this point. But at the same time, the moves that Banjo would have use would be so good...blah.

Skull Kid is also great in his own ways, but like someone stated prior it really would be overbearring to see so many Legend of Zelda representatives in the game. But his final smash would be ridiculously cool to watch, plus I'd be very interested in how his regular moves would turn out.

In the end though, I'm going to have to go with Banjo, the reason just being that I think he would have more of a diverse move set then Skull Kid what with Kazooie and her encompassing egg moves. Nonetheless, both would be great additions to the next Super Smash game and I'm happy to see these two characters pitting it out in the finals for his tournament.
 
I'm going to have to go with Banjo for reasons already stated by others. As much as I like Skull Kid, I think that Banjo would have a more diverse move set, and Zelda characters are fairly well represented as it is.

Plus wishful thinking, etc.
 
Banjo and Kazooie get my vote, for sure. I don't have much idea as to who Skull Kid is, to be honest, so my voting is more or less biased, but I still appreciate them a lot; have been a fan of these two every since I had first played their video game, and still am. They've provided me a ton of fun memories in general. Plus, they're also very cheerful, bright, vibrant, and other things of the like, and these characteristics fit them perfectly, if you ask me!
