More Than One Region!?!

After talking with others on the battle server, some thought that it's possible that Sun and Moon could be leaning to a more than one Region game, possibly even a game with all the Regions in it!. It all stemmed from this quote:

"(all the years) and now in 2016, it all comes together in an all new Pokémon adventure"

Are they possibly referring to all of the regions being added into one Pokemon Game? Or are they possibly referring to all 2016 is leading up to a new Pokemon Adventure? Just a regular Pokemon game. I wouldn't be surprised if there is an extra region, I believe we have still yet to find out more about Southern Kalos. What are your thoughts?

As I have speculated elsewhere, I do think there is at least a slight possibility that these games could contain Kalos, or at least a portion of it. The region felt highly unfinished so maybe! Then again, they could be moving on from gen 6 as a whole and just giving us another game with one single region.

I have a feeling that it'll at least come together plotwise. Perhaps they'll focus on wrapping up the loose ends of Gen V, XYOrAs, and maybe include some stuff from the Kanto, Johto, and Sinnoh games, like Rowan, and Oak.

I'm thinking that the new region will share a Kanto/Johto dynamic with Kalos, since southern France is still open for region basing.

I wouldn't mind seeing extra regions, but honestly I'd prefer for them to make good use out of the space in the brand new region. I'd really like to see a massive region which really feels so full of life. I wanna see tons of hidden areas where you can find neat items and rare Pokémon too. I don't think we need an extra region to make the game last longer or feel bigger provided they make sure the new main region is expansive.

I'm pretty much with Ben on this. As much as I've always wanted to see a new region, I think the thing I was hoping for more than anything was a larger world to explore. I've always talked about how much I enjoyed having 2 regions in GSC, but I think what I enjoyed more than anything was just how much there was to explore and discover. So while 2 regions would be great, one large region would be just as good, if not better in my book! ^^

All of them is a lot, like way too much. That would either result in a completely broken level curve or approximately zero content in each area. I'd rather see one, maybe two, regions with a decent storyline and lots of stuff to do there than one giant blank map. Quality over quantity! :D

I can see Kalos linking with this new region for sure. They could just be making what we know as South Kalos, another region.

I am still hoping for a connection to a third region. I don't think it is time to put all of the regions in 1 game yet. If they do that, it would probably take a few years to make it.

I really want Unova and Kalos to connect still though. We know Looker went somew where and then ended up in Hoenn with no memory. It would be nice if this game connected them.

One massive region would be incredible. For once I'd love to play a Pokemon game that takes a lot of time and patience, something that doesn't take less than a week to complete, post-game and all. Give me something that I can still be playing weeks later and not be bored of it yet. In AlphaSapphire I bought the game at about 10:30am and by 5pm I'd reached Mossdeep City. I want to be barely past the first gym in that amount of time, not 80% done. Loads to do post-game as well. After beating the Pokemon League in X and Y what is there to do? Catch Zygarde, Mewtwo and Articuno/Zados/Moltres and go to Kiloude City which is ****ing boring. And something more interesting than just a battle facility. It's not the be-all-and-end-all.

Also I think it's a continuation for Kalos because xy added only 68 Pokemon by far the least of any game. So the rest of this Dex for Kalos

I thought he was referring to being able to transfer Pokemon from the gen 1 games to the PokeBank.

I totally believe that these games will have more than one Region. I'm convinced that they will be connected to X & Y, so perhaps the main storyline takes place in a brand new Region and then afterwards we travel over to Kalos. It has been done before with Gold and Silver, so it would be awesome to see something similarly done!

Another reason I believe this is because this is the 20th Ann game. I would love to see a throwback to what they did With Gen 2. This would be the perfect opportunity for a throwback like that.

I think it might be a two region, but I don't put all my hopes on this.

I think it might be like Black 2 / White 2, where it's the same map plus some new places. It might be like, half of a new map and half of Kalos.

For what I've seen Pokemon Sun and moon looks very tropical themed. Kind of looks like Cuba.

My theory is that this game is going to be a "Sequal" in a sense to XY. Kind of like how GSC were the "sequals" to RBY. We will most likely be able to revisit Kalos in the post-game (or maybe even in the story? Zygrade maybe?) and possibly other new areas in the post-game that aren't in the region itself. I feel as if GameFreak is going to step out of the norms with this game, as the past 4 releases have been a bit repetitive when it comes to the post-game.

Anything that was better than the 'postgame' that X&Y had will be very much welcome.

This is exactly what I was thinking. The Virtual Console versions of RBY allow you to transfer Pokemon to Pokemon Bank, and now basically every Pokemon game (except the original RBY and Gold and Silver) are connected in some way. So basically you can connect all of your games and bring all of them together. I think the "all comes together." is just a marketing thing. It would be nice to explore more than one region though. Maybe since it's the 20th, the new region will have some connection to Kanto. I don't know if I'd want all seven regions in one game though. That would take forever to finish and I just don't have the time.
