Been wondering since I saw the base stats, so what's the better thing to invest ev's into for a Mega Pinsir Defence or speed?

It's important to have decent IVs while you breed. You don't improve IVs while you breed. They're set in stone. Keep catching Ditto and see which one works out for you.Game XY
Question BREEDING
For me to breed is it important for at least 1 Parent having good IVs and if so how do I obtain a parent (ditto) with good IVS
31/31/x/x/x/31
or
31/x/x/31/x/31
and how do I improve the IVs of pokemon while breeding?
Just got into competitive pokemon...I'm not exactly sure what playstyle I want to play right now, but I would like to incorporate a Metagross in there as I have already started training it. It's adamant with 252 attack / 230 special def / ? 3rd stat. Moveset- Earthquake, Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, and Protect.
What playstyles do you suggest I could play with a metagross in my team. And could you link me to some guides of that?
I went on pokemon showdown, and I entered a Level 70 Timid Mewtwo 31 IVs speed is 228.So I'm still kinda meh when it comes down to understanding exactly if I have good IV's for my Pokemon.
I just caught my Mewtwo in Pokemon Y. It's got the nature I want (Timid) and its characteristic is "Alert to sounds", which I understand is beneficial towards the speed stat. I also read however, that it could either mean it's the lowest possible outcome for the IV stat or the highest.
It's at level 70, and it's residing at a speed of 228, without any EV's. How do I tell if it's got the highest or lowest of IV's for its speed stat?

Your mewtwo has perfect speed IVs
Heliolisk is too defensively weak for parafusion; though its Special Defense is admittedly decent, its low physical Defense and common weaknesses to Fighting and Ground hold it back from supporting the team at all. It's better off all-out attacking:I'm working on a Heliolisk and I need too know whether it would be decent or not

Gengar needs Focus Blast to hit Steel Pokemon harder than Shadow Ball would, preferably over Thunderbolt.so as of now I am building a team at the moment so far I only have 3 pokemons still raising them and I need a lot of suggestion on which should I use

Possible good strategy on what should I use .

When I'm building a Clawitzer, should I max EVs in Speed/SpA even though it generally has a low speed?
Honestly depends on what you want to do with it. Popular consesus at the moment seems to be tank or mixed attacker.Could someone tell me good EV spreads and movesets for a Goodra and a Trevenant?
Check the previous page for my suggestions. Didn't you already post the exact same thing?Help me build my team
tell me what to change from pokemon to moveset natures and etc.

A Bold nature with 248 HP/252 Def/8 Spe is better because its physical bulk isn't that good.I just got Calm Eevee and just evolved it to Vaporeon and it's still level 20.
I need advice on EV's training, is it okay to go like this (252 HP, 252 SPDEF, 6 DEF)?
Whats your opinion?
