So this Friday, me and a friend I've known since high school will be going to an anime convention. It will be the first time ever that the both of us have gone to a convention, and we're both pretty excited about it. The convention runs from July 11th through July 13th.

The convention me and my friend are headed to will be Metro Con, which is in Downtown Tampa, Florida. They literally call it the largest anime/cosplay convention in Florida. I see it in the news every year. I've had other friends that have enjoyed the experience. I don't plan to cosplay though, just because it's my first convention, and I'd like to see how it goes. I'll be taking lots of pictures, though!

Most of all, about a month ago, I found out that one of my favorite voice actresses would be in attendance at the convention: Hynden Walch. That's right! The voice of Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time and the voice of Starfire from Teen Titans will be there for autographs! It makes me excited because these two cartoons are two of my favorites (the latter being a cartoon I grew up watching when I was in elementary school). The catch though is that autographs are $20 for her, except for the first autograph, but I still think it's worth it.

So overall, I'm looking forward to having a fun weekend.

Also, if you're also going to MetroCon (which I doubt anybody else is here really), LET ME KNOW PLEASE.

I do wish you good luck and we hope your experience is an awesome one. And if you do see a fellow PC'er along the way, make sure you mention it!

Get ready to come back a changed man.
Also btw, that doesn't sound like anime... Adventure Time and Teen Titans? You sure it isnt a cartoon con or something?

Anyways, have fun. I went to an anime con of sorts, and it was an absolute blast... and I just wasnt the same after I came back lol. You'll see what I mean. Anywhoooo, hope you have a blast.

It's probably a hybrid convention of sorts. A lot of these that mash various elements of geek/nerd culture together exist, since catering to a specific subset of geek is extremely difficult in many areas.
