On multiplayer servers for any game (or even in single player) do you hoard a bunch of loot, items, etc? Do you get "rich?"

well... over 20 hours (up to 30 hours) worth of super rare or highly valuable weaponry and lockers (my entire base- and it was a LOT) was just looted in a Unturned served. I had insane stuff. Now I'm kinda frustrated because i just lost everything.

I was probably the one of the richest non-admins on the server and an admin decided to abuse his power to take everything (which he said he would give back- which he did). But then let others loot the rest. So i tried retaking my base and died of course.

At least i had fun getting all my stuff, so I suppose I shouldn't be too mad. And its just a game after all. But nevertheless frustrating. very.

Do you guys have any similar stories of getting rich in games and losing it all? Even after many hours of work?

I avoid that type of game myself. At least with big online play.

I've never been a fan of the "Someone better than you (and there always is someone better) can undue all your progress in the game.

    Not my type of fun.

on our lil private server me and my friend lost so much loot on 7 Days to Die through falling into our own trap and not being able to craft our way back to our rucksacks. We were very angry

I'm a massive hoarder in games and I never throw away things just in case I might need it later. It actually gets so bad sometimes that I won't even use my items even when they can help me, just in case there's some hypothetical later situation where I'll "really" need it. I do this a lot with stuff like potions or any consumables that are supposed to aid you in game - low health? Tough it out until you get a free heal. Stat boosting effect? Save it for that special hidden ultra end game boss (and then I end up never, ever using them for the entirety of the game).

Im the same way, but Ill store obviously useless items. Its totally irrational because, unlike in your case, the items have little use to me. I just feel bad for getting rid of items and fear I might need them in the future eventually, but never do and end up taking up more storage or inventory space than necessary.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely also the person who collected bowls and pans in Skyrim like Matt lol, so I feel you. :P But in my defense, when I first started I genuinely thought they'd be useful, like I'd have to eat out of bowls at some point to survive. So I literally cleaned out that starting area and kept all my bowls and cutlery.

But yeah, even after that I'm just the kind of person who doesn't know how to selectively loot - I'll take everything until I have an inventory problem, then waste all my time figuring out what to drop.

Not collecting literally EVERYTHING bugs the crap out of me lol

Oh boy. Do I love collecting things. I've finally trained myself to stop it in Skyrim and actually use the stuff, but when playing on anything above adept you don't really have a choice unless you wanna die all the time. But in games like League of Legends and Rocket League, I have a serious problem with cosmetics. Oh god. Every time I tell myself I wont do it again the release something new and oh, I've just lost another 20€. Why oh why do these things exist. Especially in rocket league where it's either gamble from a crate or spend ages trading the stuff up. God it's frustrating, especially when you want everything and everything means like 30 wheels each with 10 different colours, more toppers with the same choices, ultra rare decals and more. Oh god. I think my reply is now begin to sound like I have a problem too. Oh noooooooooooooooooooo

Cosmetics are huge part of the game! But oddly and unfortunately addicting, like CS:GO weapon skins. Crate and other random chance systems really stink and the in-game earned skins are never as good as the ones you can buy. :/

Ive bought my fair share of LoL skins as well. Im not sure if I regret it yet though because I really enjoyed the skins when I was playing, but since I haven't played in a while, i kinda wish I had that money back xD

I remember once giving away 50€ for a collection of skins on LoL just to complete my existing set. I think I've used those skins a whole twice. And not all of them twice, just from all of them I've used two, or one twice. Lmfao, I'm so careless where cosmetics are involved XD

I have a Gremyashchy and Kamikaze R in World of Warships, I haven't lost them but I quit over EU server treatment and game balance increasingly catering to retards with all of two fingers and a single neuron between them.

These destroyers are supposedly so OP they stopped selling them (due to a policy against nerfing premium vehicles), when what they've really done is continue to degrade everything that's not a battleship. There's a kind of reverse-powercreep going on with the game. Gremy was certainly strong but not out of bounds for a DD during beta, and Kamikaze was basically the same as the nonpremium Minekaze at the time of its release, with some tradeoffs in different areas.

So, I mean, I could still play these ships and live out the good old days, but that's kinda all I can do and still expect to enjoy, plus sailing one of these makes you a priority target for suicide rushers that keep you spotted just because they want to kill the unique ship.

i am a *MAJOR* loot whore in alot of my games, sometimes i collect everything in a dungeon and sell (most of) it all, other times i just keep it all

usualy in the containers i put the stuff in, it starts lagging if i open it...

example 1: skyrim (ps3 copy, trust me, get the "black merchant" spell)

arrows, gold, weapons, food/drink, potion ingridents, ore/ingots/gemstones, jewlery, armor, potions/poisons, or litterally everything not nailed down (owned or not)

    example 2: fallout 4 (ps4)

(legendary) weapons and armor, ammo, chems, alcohol, food, resources, fusion cores and caps... as well as the colectable magazines and bobbleheads, i usualy only take it i can break it down
