Natures!

Introduced in the 3rd Generation games, natures are a mechanic that affects the stats of a Pokemon, raising one stat and lowering another, changing up the battling scene greatly. The natures can also affect a Pokemon's flavour preference when it comes to treats such as Pokeblocks and Poffins, which plays a big part in which contest category you should raise your Pokemon for. There are also some natures that don't affect stats at all, being completely neutral.

The natures are: Lonely, Adamant, Naughty, Brave, Bold, Impish, Lax, Relaxed, Modest, Mild, Rash, Quiet, Calm, Gentle, Careful, Sassy, Timid, Hasty, Jolly, Naive, Hardy, Bashful, Serious, Docile and Quirky.

So, did you like the introduction of this mechanic? Which of the natures do you relate the most to? Do you ever try to pick the best nature for your Pokemon?

I love the additions of Natures. It's very beneficial for the competitive scene.
If they could program Natures on PokéAmie, that would be hella awesome! That might be difficult though.

And yes, I pick the best Nature for my Pokémon! It can be a hassle if a Pokémon has a non-beneficial Nature, in-game or competitive wise.

Natures are very useful, especially if you are playing competitive style. I honestly liked it.

Ehh I relate most to Impish or Calm.

It was the best change that made in Pokemon as they are very useful through the competitively wise.I always want my Pokemon a good nature that fits their stats evenly.

Natures are most useful for getting the best mons in your team especially competitive play are the key. I prefer natures that have no up/down because some nature you don't like because it doesn't fit with pokemon's EV/best stats even IV and doesn't give you a favor and move on to a best movepool suited with the mons

Natures can go to hell, as far as I care.

No longer could you just catch a Pokémon and have even a slight chance of it being good. More than likely, it'll have a bad Nature, and even with max stats, a Pokémon with a bad Nature is as good as useless. Get ready to waste Pokéballs catching a million of the same species or waste time breeding and hatching a million eggs. Prepare to save and reset a million times if it's a Legendary.

Natures were clearly something that was created solely for the benefit of competitive battling without any regard for actual in-game play. Yes, I know, "anything works in-game," but who wants to willingly go through the games with sub-par Pokémon? In the first two Gens, in-game teams could actually WORK in Stadium and multiplayer, depending on movesets. The introduction of Natures and the EV cap made that no longer possible.

I like Natures. I'm not that bothered about getting a particular Nature for stats or whatever as I don't play competively but I like it if my fave Pokemon has a Nature that I like or fits it's personality.

I literally never check natures lmao. I never even think of them. So for me, its a pointless feature.
