NATHAN IS ALIVE FOR SEASON 3!!

Adrian Pasdar who plays Nathan Patrelli on Heroes, has confirmed he will be returning for Volume 3 of Hereos.

He confirmed that Nathan and Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) will work together to save Mama Patrelli from the dark side and that he will share several scenes with Claire (Hayden Panettiere) with him developing his character more as a father.

Additionally Pasdar offered up some potential reasons on how Nathan could've survived the shooting at the end of Volume 2 because...

1) Bullet-Proof Vest
2) Knew the attack was coming
3) He set it up himself

Here are the full details

When we last saw Nathan Petrelli, he was bleeding to death on the floor after nearly revealing his superpowers to the world. It was the second season finale in a row that left Nathan on the verge of death, but if his exploding brother couldn't wipe him out, would a few bullets really do the trick? Heroes fans have been left to ponder his fate since the show wrapped up last year.

While attending the popular comic book (MegaCon) convention, Pasdar let it slip that he will be returning for the third season of the series. He also hinted that the dynamic between the Petrelli family will be front and center next year. It seems like Nathan and Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) will be working together in an attempt to rescue their mother from the dark side. After a disappointing second season that often kept the brothers apart, it'll be refreshing to see them working together for the greater good once again.

The actor also talked about what really may have happened when those shots rang out in the second season finale. He mentioned that "the clues were all there for what really happened," and hinted that Nathan may have been wearing a bulletproof vest. He also teased that the character may have either known the attack was coming, or possibly planned it himself.

Pasdar also mentioned that he'll share plenty of scenes with Claire (Hayden Panettiere) in season 3, and that his role as her father will be more important than ever.

I love the Petrelli family, that's the most interesting plotline. I don't really see how they can make Nathan act more father-ish towards Claire though... I mean, she's already got a father :s Though Nathan got more caring in volume 2, not really the arrogant bastard he was in vol 1, so perhaps it's only natural they try to make him care about Claire a little bit.

I have 5 actually and they are Cryokinesis (Freezing), Superhuman Speed, Invisibility, Precognition and Telepathy.

You guys probably know this but I heard Sylar uses Candice's power in the next volume. :\

Candice? Wasn't she the one who could change shapes? But he didn't kill her the "right" way.... maybe there are more people who can change shapes. Like both West and Nathan could fly.

Or did I get it wrong? Perhaps she wasn't Candice ^^

But... I agree with you, he shouldn't have obtained the power unless the virus had only supressed his ability to "absorb" other powers at the same time and it'd only return later?
