New Astrological Signs 2011

    So yeah. Iheard last night from my brother and mother that they read this news about the new arrangement of days or whatever to our horoscopes/zodiac/astrological signs...
    I just couldn't believe it. I always loved being Libra, for it really fits my personality (too much)...
    Earlier this morning, I browsed the web and I found the news they were talking about.
    After reading, I was like, "darn no I don't wanna be a Virgo! x,x "

    Here's the new table...

    Capricorn: Jan. 20 – Feb. 16
    Aquarius: Feb. 16 – March 11
    Pisces: March 11- April 18
    Aries: April 18- May 13
    Taurus: May 13- June 21
    Gemini: June 21- July 20
    Cancer: July 20- Aug. 10
    Leo: Aug. 10- Sept. 16
    Virgo: Sept. 16- Oct. 30
    Libra: Oct. 30- Nov. 23
    Scorpio: Nov. 23- Nov. 29
    Ophiuchus: Nov. 29- Dec. 17
    Sagittarius: Dec. 17- Jan. 20

    Oh, and the thirteenth sign is added there, and it's the sign of the snake.
    I can remember a few years back while watching tv, about the thirteenth sign only appears on February 29... :P

    Anyway, what do you guys think about this?

    yeah, apparently i'm a Capricorn now.. i liked being an Aquarius...
     
    What. This table makes no sense. What if I was born on one of the borderline dates? And this doesn't even affect me at all. I just moved from being born on the last day of the Gemini star sign to the first day. How lame.

    I second the whole eerie vibe..... I'm the only one in my family who is still a Taurus... (There used to be three of us and I just barely fit the mark at May 14...) Maybe the only who didn't change at all.... that in itself creeps me out a bit.
     
    how does this make sense there are 12 months in the calender not thirteen

    I'm going to be stubborn about this calender and not observe it, I'm too proud of being a Libra to change to Virgo. Only when they start enforcing it will I learn to not be afraid and love Ophiuchus.

    But besides, this won't make anything different in my life, it just annoys me that they're changing everything.
    First Pluto, then Triceratops and now my star signs? ;-;

    Well there are thirteen major constellations all along I know because when I was researching the star signs for my story I ran into the thirteenth constellation which is now the 12th sign.

    I remember a thread on this years ago saying our star signs changed or something along those lines. Seems it didn't make any difference...

    (Searching for it and PC seems to think it never existed pfft).

    Anyway, I don't wanna be an Aries so I am still a Tauros in my mind. It suits me.

    I'm really confused about this too. I looked it up last night as well, and I have decided that I'm sticking with Capricorn because I love my sign. <3

    Apparently, this also only affects those born in more recent years like 2009, 2010 and 2011. But, I'm not sure. I was googling it on many different sites and that's the answer I got so I'm sticking with it.

    Also something to do with two different types of astrology, Sidereal as stated and Tropical. *shrug*

    Well the change is due to the variation in the earth's orbit/rotation over time, so over the course of thousands of years, the positioning of the stars change slightly, and over the course of that long time frame, the changes build up, which would warrant the new Zodiac signs, or something around those lines.
