It's not as much a matter of possibility as much as it is probability. Gamefreak could drop the "catch 'em all" and only give you rental pokemon in the main series, but will they? Unlikely.

i had to slide around for about 10 minutes to get to her! and everytime i revisit the gym just to see if i can do it it takes me another 10 minutes!!

me too cynthia was cool i liked her

No Gym Leaders is more probable than Rentals... Just think they don't have to be gym leaders per say... They could be 8 people with a part of some device that open a magical door to narnia that the elite 4 and champions live in... They aren't changing what ice cream is just what flavor it is...

Yeah I hope she has high AI too and with perfect Iv'd and Ev'd pokemon :D

Ohh okay, I get it now, thanks for the clarification.

And yes, I too want better AI. I think we've seen a slight increase in recent games, but a bigger boost would be nice.

The AI is actually pretty good later on. They have it set at a low level at the beginning so the game isn't challenging.

Yeah I would like to see an increase especially at the start of the game to make it more challenging at least.

Indeed, that seems almost pointless (I get that Abra is a timid Pokémon, but I just sent out a level 2 Caterpie, it still insists on running away)

And oh for the love of all that is unholy revamp the AI! How many times have you gone into a battle and have the opponent win it for you?

Well abra only knows one move in the wild so it has no choice but to teleport :P
Yeah I won several battles using that logic :P

Why is everyone saying it is based on Garuda without real proof?

It could just as easily be based on the Native American thoughts on the Eagle, FAR from the Hindu Garuda.

Evidence?

  • Well, a lot are saying that Isshu is based on New York to represent Americans in the Pokemon world. We had Eagles and Native Americans in America.
  • The name isn't even remotely the same as "Garuda," except the "oo" sound. The name just references "eagle" as far as we know, which means it could be anything.
  • The only evidence of it being a Garuda is comparisons with Digimon and their, get this, made-up color-scheme. The only thing we know of Garuda is that he has a golden human body and red wings, where the Pokemon in question looks far from humanoid and is more blue than golden.
  • The thing freaking looks like a headdress:

haha thank you for knowing your history. :) regardless, wooguru is the coolest 5th gen poke yet i think. it just looks awesome. i hope its really strong because ill be using it for sure

i actually loled at that ha!! and wild geodudes/ gravelleers have the exact same mentality "oh a trainer with a pokemon thats weaker than me! what are my options? earhtquake or self-destruct? i havent blown myself up in a while i think ill do that!!"

It's only what English speakers have been calling him because of what the basis of the Japanese name is, which I think is just WRONG! They use the symbol of our country, throw on the colors of our flag, put a Native American headdress on and slap WAR in the name. Nice, and I think there is a social message in it :/
