It all a matter of making money.

If it makes money they will put it up.

Zango requires the person to be 18 or older to download/install... Why do we have something that is technicaly considered adult content due to the age limit on a site that has a large amount of younger members?

Zango is also a required component for acess to some porn sites. Since we are essentially advertising zango perhaps we should advertise all sites that require it?

Zango if not removed imediatly after being installed can cause your computer to become loaded with adware/malware, with some of it being adult content.

So, when will pokecommunity be having a adult only forum? Im only wondering since its starting to advertise something that with the age limit can be technicaly considered adult content.

Zango is not good news for any computer. The whole site is fake.
The other site is the same way. Even this site has Ads. from that site... Grr...
It's a huge problem. No one should download from that site. I got three computers
from some buds of mine, who claimed they downloaded the online game, and
it destroyed the computers.... Trust me, it's a bad thing. A virus infected program.

zango is under a FTC (USA Fed. Trade Commission) order to NOT force spyware/viruses on its users if you tried this "game" and got crapware, you should a) uninstall it ALL, b) run a AV and anti-malware scan, and c) report it to the FTC (US)

like I said, we'll be watching this and will remove it if becomes a problem for our users.

Why sponser a fake? How about you sponser the real thing?

I think i speak for a large amount of people here when i say the admins are not doing their jobs when they refuse to remove something that poses a threat (Even a little one) to any of their users.

He says if it becomes a problem. How about just preventing the problem before any damage is done?

This is all done through something called Google AdSense, in which Google pays PC $$$ so they can put ads on the forums...And it looks like they just got vBullitan support ...

This is just an uneducated thought, but I'm pretty sure that AdSense only can put up banner ads, not links in the index. Anyway, Steve said that it was something new he was demoing for a month.

    NOT A CHANCE!

the chances of that rpg being legal are slim to none and even if it was you have to download zango to play it. i thought that sounded supiscious and so i checked it out and found that it is a spyware product which is a type of computer controlling virus. the company that made zango has already faced several lawsuits with more on the way. so to answer your question you wont just get unknown downloads but it can also go to virused websites which can kill of your computer

Well then add a warning that says this requires zango, a program that is known to be adware/malware.

D: Jake... So this means that we cant prevent it? Well, I'm sure that they havent thought up of much stuff, so maybe we can temporarily have a warning somwhere (Title / Header / etc.) saying that "If you are prompted to download and install a software called Zango, please go to this thread."

    I just now noticed the link, and I was gonna post something about it, then I saw this thread. xD;

That game has been advertized all over the net, but I'm concerned about the fact that that website's game is spyware. Sure alot of the members know to stay away from it, but what about younger members, who would have no clue, and think it's safe? It's really too bad that it has to stay there for a month. I just hope it doesn't hurt anyone's computers. D: PC would get blamed.

The game itself is real. However, the ad link is fake.

I totally agree that the link needs to be removed or at least a warning be given under the link saying... whatever.
But like Jake said, until we get the contract we don't know what we can and can't do there. I don't want anyone to get a virus, adware, spyware and so on. And if it was up to me I'd remove it on the spot. But like I said, we don't know what we can and can't do until we get the contract.
