I know this topic has probably been done to death in here but I just figured I'd make this thread to see what everyone has to say about it. Since the Assistant Admin rank is officially retired, green is no longer in use as a usergroup color. I personally wouldnt mind a shade of green as the color for Supporters. Green is a nice color. The blue we have now is very nice, but the problem I have with it is it is very similar to the moderator blue. I personally feel the supporter color should be more different. Share your thoughts about this concept here. If you would like a different color, feel free to suggest an alternative.

I'm fine with any color, honestly, but it seems that green is becoming the popular vote! I'll post the colors I liked here from the VIP DCC thread.

These are the ones that kind of stood out to me the most - I believe the colors were Forest green, lime green, Islamic green, and jade (in that order); I want to see what other shades of green others might like. :)

Im in favor personally of "jade" which Eeveon posted. I think that's a nice easy to see color and it's different enough. I just would like the color changed because I feel like blue although lovely is very similar to moderator blue like it's only a shade or two off. Id like to see Supporters get their own unique color for the usergroup.

    pink pink pink pink pink

It would be pretty cool as a way to differentiate between the moderator and supporter rank colours a bit more clearly so I see no harm in it, as long as the colour isn't too close to the old AA colour :3 Having so much green everywhere though? Not something I'd want to see, it'd look all murky and ick D; How about a nicer colour like a shade of red that's completely different to the SA red? Red's a lovely colour <3 Although to be honest I think it'd just look odd having so much red everywhere haha, so maybe sticking with blue isn't such a bad idea...

Since the Assistant Admin group was retired, just change the Supporter color to that green. It was the second best color of all the usergroups anyway imo.

ex-AAs banned use of the color for other usergroups. :(

Anyway if I had to choose a color I wanted, to differentiate the mods from the Supporters, it would be like this:

    Toujours
    Toujours

    Some kind of mid-range purple that was nowhere near Steve purple. XD;

I definitely don't want the AA green to be used, but I'd be fine with a different shade.

One thing I would like done if we end up changing supporters to green is get rid of the italics to further differentiate. The main reason it's italic now is to keep it different from the mods, after all.
tbh I'd be fine with a jade green, then. Not too bright, though - bright colors murder my eyes. I'd also be perfectly fine with the removal of the italics, as they are also an eyesore, imo.

I voted green in the poll, but I really like those purples. Pink is honestly fine, too. I just want something different that's legible. :P

Re italics, I think it depends on the colour as to whether or not it looks any good with/without them.

eg. Purple looks better with non-italics, whereas green depends largely on the shade. Lighter greens are fine in standard, but darker greens would look tacky and bland without a slant.

I don't think I have ever been confused with staff as Purple or Blue. On that note, while slightly OT, maybe would could Hyperlink the CS Badge to the Donation info thread?

I also wouldnt mind the purple shades Toujours posted as a possible alternative to green also as well.

I want this but it's too close to PPN colour. :(

HOWEVER being close to PPN's colour makes sense because supporters donate and PPN deals with money. LOGIC.

No you're not allowed to have my beautiful purples unless you REALLY WANT IT

They won't accept anything less. >:/

Imo Jade Green is the best option. I mean the only reason we're talking about this is because there is no more green usergroup, and seeing as how AAs don't want us to use the same shade of green, Jade should be just fine... ?

Your ideas are bad and you should feel bad.

BUT SERIOUSLY I like purple, but I'm not a fan of that purple - much too dark. I think we should either go with one of Toujie's purples (love the bottom one), a nice, soft pink or a jade green. Italic red would become such an eyesore, especially with the enormous amount of supporters.

Yeah one thing to consider for supporters in particular - it's not uncommon for a thread to be all supporters posting, or a vast majority of the posters as supporters. Considering that, the more bold the statement is, the more distracting it will be as supporters are everywhere. I mean, look at how distracting the red is on the admins and there are barely any of them compared to normal members :P

Well don't be all :/ about it! You should like the color you're voting for, lol. :(
