I'm pretty mellow, REALLY into Pokemon games, movies, anime, cards, basically anything Pokemon I love.

Games I currently play : Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Crystal (needs battery replacement ;_; ), Pokemon Silver (needs battery too), Pokemon Fire red, and Pokemon Emerald on emulator. :3

Yes, I have played the newer games, up to Black and White, but I am a ravenous nostalgia junkie, so I opt for Gameboy colors and Gameboy SP when I play. I am picking up the new 3DS on the 13th, but I don't want to get both ORAS and XY, so a suggestion as to whether to play the remake or the new region first would be appreciated :D

Hi Kenzo! We have plenty of people who lurk for a while before joining.. though getting involved is always the better choice, of course. Tons to do here. n~n

And I'd honestly recommend OR/AS but X/Y were also really good.. the music in the Kalos games is fantastic and the region itself is beautifully designed. OR/AS is superior in other aspects though, as it has more mega evolutions (some of which can't be accessed in X/Y as they're not programmed into the game), the DexNav feature, contests, and so on. It's an overall better game without a doubt in my eyes and I'd definitely go with purchasing that over Kalos if I were you, though that's my huge Hoenn bias playing in, haha. Experiencing a brand new region is pretty amazing in itself!

I come from another forum called Pokestadium (It is really inactive, actually). I like the Pokémon games a lot, but I am not into the anime. I also collect the cards. I also enjoy Transformers (as you can see by my avatar :P) and Homestuck, and I occasionally watch anime. I've been on the internet for a while now, almost 2 years.

I've heard about Nintendo's recent withdrawal from Brazil since they decided not to have a local production facility, along with products being insanely expensive there. It is kinda sad for Brazilian fans in the big picture, given they'll be missing out on great games. Either way, nice to see you have taste in Transformers and Homestuck as well. There happens to be a Homestuck club over in the Fan Clubs & Groups section if you're into that, and in fact you'd be surprised how many fans really are on this forum.

Hey guys! Iceman here :D . I'm from Romania and I've just joined today.
I'm into pretty much any Pokemon game, even rom hacks. I watched the anime up to XY, but I stopped for some time now since I can't find the episodes for download lol.
 
Hello, I'm relatively new here, I made an account awhile ago but I wasn't very active. Anyway, where would be the best place to get help/ advice on completing the Pokedex in Omega Ruby. I've always wanted to complete national, but I've only finished emeralds regional when I was younger. So yea, If anyone could point me in the right direction or give me advice that would be awesome.

Hello and welcome, nsrune! I know a lot of others weren't active in their early days only to return on an active basic much later. Also, I hope everything's going well for you.

From the looks of the goal you want to achieve, it appears you might be interested in the Trade Corner board which has areas for quick trades as well as some trade shops, and we tend to have reliable service around there so finding the Pokemon you need shouldn't be much of a problem at all.

Good luck and hopefully you can complete the Pokedex sometime, and in the meantime have a great time at PC!
 
Thanks Hikamaru, I'll look into those. And what are the trade shops? I haven't seen them before but it sounds interesting.
 
Hi there! I'm Psychic, and I've been an unwavering Pokemon fan since Yellow version! I love the games, and also enjoy fan fiction, RPing, and fan art. I also ran a pretty rad Pokemon "sub-convention" at an anime con in Canada this past summer! I came here from Serebiiforums where I'm a mod, but I joined PC back in 2007, and thought I'd check it out again.

There seem to be a lot of really neat events and contests going on here! What are some other sections where you guys would recommend a newbie check out and get involved? :>

I think I definitely recognize you. You're Psychic from Serebii if I recall? I do have an account on Serebii but I mostly lurk, plus I enjoy PC much more anyway. Great to hear you plan to get involved here more often, it's always awesome when people here want to see all the sights and check out what's hot and happening.

As for sections I recommend for you, I'd say Fan Fiction & Writing and Roleplay Corner based on your interests but it's always great to discover unexpected new faves as you look around as well. Anyways, I'll see you around Psychic and have a great time with us!

I'm OshyHikari over there. You may not have seen me a lot though because as I said, I'm mainly a lurker over there but I do often find myself reading some of the threads and I do post, but it's mainly only in one thread that doesn't add to postcount.

Hi Rune! Welcome back to PC. [: Trade shops are places where people have a lot of Pokemon up for trade, here you need at least 20+ different species to open a shop. So you'll find tons there when you end up looking around! I would really recommend it. Good luck on your dex~

Welcome to PC, Psychic! I joined Serebii in 2006 and somehow made around 150 posts but haven't gotten involved in years aha. PokeCommunity is my baby so it's hard to pull away. xD; But you'll definitely have an easier time here if you've forum experience. There is so much to do but my preferred areas are the Pokemon Clubs and Fan Clubs & Groups forums - they're nice places to break the ice and meet people with similar interests. -^^-

But anyways, welcome to PC! I assume you mainly came for the ROM Hacking boards? Or is there something else you like? I have heard of Desbrina, who is a really good hacker and you'd be surprised just how many great hackers are on this forum, plus there's also great variety in topics so there should be something that tickles your fancy.
