Sounds like Pokémon General would be a great place for you to start in! There you can discuss various things about the pokémon world without having to treat them like part of a game. Hope to see you around!

I'm Stratosphere, but you can call me Start (how some call me on the "outside").~ Ever since kid I loved Pokémon -cough- *even when I didn't understand English or the games at all* :3 thanks to Pokémon I lived most of my best times playing with my old handhelds, and even learned English! I hope we can meet and know more about each other, so -poof- *vanishes saying so long*

Welcome :3 Have a fun time here, there's a lot to check out. How about having a look through Pokémon Gaming Central and the Main Series Games sections? The former is for general cross-generation discussion of the games, and the latter has a section for each generation. Have fun!

Nice to meet you too Start!

I was a fan of Pokemon since childhood at as well, and I can imagine how difficult it was when you first played given you weren't a native English speaker but we all learn something from Pokemon and that's why I love it so much. I did see you sign up for a mentor in the adoption center as well and I hope him or her can help you learn so much about the forums.

I'll be sure to catch you around myself as well!

My nickname is basically monkey with the 3 last letter first thank you for the tip hope to see around
 
Hello everyone, i'm a fellow pokemon fan, how are ya all, recently played pokemon glazed and light platinum, and they inspired me to make rom hacks. I know it's gonna be a tough road ahead, but i really want to make rom hack, seeing how amazing things have been created. I hope i'll meet new people, get help and inspiration from you all. Thanks everyone

Welcome to PC! Don't worry, everybody has to start somewhere. Personally I've never tried hacking... But a lot of people do, and it's probably good to be persistent and don't lose hope if your hack idea doesn't get all the attention initially or if work goes slowly for a while. Good luck!
