Was looking for a Pokemon forum and found this one. Hey everyone :)
Still getting used to it, so if any helpful users have any advice, that'd be sweet :)
Hope to enjoy my time here.

Hi PiplupParty! Well, you're new in forums, aren't you?
I think it's nice to check the rules first, just in case.
And I think you could start by posting in any threads that interests you.
You could ask us or even mods (the blue bold one) like Cirno via VM or even PM if you need help!
Have fun in PC and see you around!

Advice? Well of course I shall give you advice! From a veteran to a new member, one of my tips I'd love to pass on is to never ever rush yourself in exploring what PC has to offer here. Also, don't rush on your post count either. Reason why I say that is that many members are extremely excited and want to post stuff that may have already been posted. It's understandable that PC is really big, and the search feature is 99% essential. You should use it if you are uncertain of something. :)

Also, read the rules and the FAQ. Those are quite important to understand and the staff around here will enforce them. And, if you have questions, the staff in bold blue, orange, and red are always around to help out.

Hopefully that covers it, and I wish you the best of luck! Welcome aboard to the forums and feel free to shoot me a message if you need a friend to talk! <3 I love meeting new people. :) Glad to see you joined us and have fun!

    Spoiler:

Here, a Piplup for you! :) Isn't he super adorable?!

Anyways, welcome to PC! Great that you found us and it's awesome to have you here. Is this your first forum? Wind Heart and Meganium already gave some good advice for you so take that into consideration; they're both experienced members here. Definitely read the rules and search before posting a thread using the really helpful search button in each board - there's a big chance what you want to post exists already. We are a really big forum so that would only make sense, right? But there are also lots of things that haven't been posted as well so definitely don't let that discourage you from creating threads. Remember not to bump threads that haven't had a post for over thirty days, too, since generally threads are considered "dead" by that point. Some sections amend that rule though, like the episode reviews subforum in the Pokemon Anime board, but most of the forum has a 30-day revival rule set in place.

Might seem confusing but trust me that PC isn't as hard to understand as it may seem. n~n We were all confused at one point and it doesn't take long to get accustomed to things. If you're looking to meet people, check out places like the New Users' Hangout or the Daily Chit-Chat thread. Those are chat threads where you can discuss all sorts of things and meet new people, so it's definitely something I recommend for new members looking to get a feel for the community. You're going to love them.

Pokemon Clubs and Clubs & Groups are also great ways to meet people with similar interests. There are a lot of clubs open for you to try and if not, look into making one! It's all up to you in the end though so give the forum a try and explore around.

Have a great time here! :D

Hello PiplupParty, and welcome to PC!

Given your username I assume you're a Piplup fan? He's such a little cutie and I enjoyed him in the anime, in fact Sinnoh had a great saga as far as the anime goes. I do love a lot of cute Pokemon, and a lot of Water-types mainly. Cirno and Meganium90 have probably explained how PC works, such as no reviving threads that have been inactive for a month and also reading the rules before posting and such, but thankfully we have helpful moderators such as herself who can always assist you if you need help or get lost.

Cirno also recommended you should check out the DCC over in Chit Chat & Polls, where you can make friends pretty fast due to how active it is, there's also the Pokemon Clubs / Fan Clubs & Groups sections, where you can join various clubs, one is Pokemon-based and the other is not. There's also Forum Games and Pokemon Trivia where you can play some fun forum games and it's a very fun section. Like the clubs, one is Pokemon-based and the other isn't. But I'm sure you'll find something you like in the end, because we have a lot of fun stuff for a Pokemon forum.

Anyway, have fun and I hope to see more of you around the forum!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I'll be sure to take all your advice :)

@Cirno loved the Piplup picture :) and yes, it's my first time with a forum like this.

Once again thanks everyone, I hope I enjoy it here!

Welcome to the forums; of course we can help you show how things work here on PC. We've got separate sections for each Pokemon gen, a Pokemon Game Central section that discusses about the content from the main games, a Pokemon General section that allows threads regarding individual Pokemon, an anime section, a media entertainment section to discuss about non-Pokemon media such as movies, TV, and books, a video game section to discuss about non-Pokemon video games, a game section where we, well, play games (there's also a Pokemon version of the game section too), and irl sections such as the debate and discussion section, located at the bottom of the forum.
