Here we go again...we've pretty much run the whole "DS is a breeding ground for pedophiles with Pictochat!!1111111" thing into the ground, so now we've got to start on the Wii being a portal to porn.

And sometimes I wonder why I think 95% of the world's population has the brain capacity of a gnat and why I dislike people in general... >>

And Phil Harrison can run his mouth all he wants. He's just showing how much of an arrogant, big-headed company Sony is. Nintendo knows what they're doing, and it shows. They're beating the crap out of Sony, and Phil's trying to take the heat off himself.

Aw give me a break, you can really tell that competitors are actually trying to find ways to make the Wii look bad. They're complaining about accessing porn on the Wii, so why don't parents just not let their kids access the internet on the Wii? I mean they can do it on a computer can't they? Its not hard to figure out at all, they're just trying to make it look worse than it is.

I love how the article makes it sound like Nintendo has a secret plot to expose the children of the world to porn through the internet channel though. It's really funny.

But still, I'm sick of people just trying to think up ways to start a riot about stuff like this. >>

Why not? I mean some new channel said the DS can go over 300 feet wirelessly (which is totally untrue. I think the max range for the DS is like 60 feet). If they aren't smart enough to know the DS can't reach 300 feet then these type of people aren't smart enough to think "Well OMG, my kids might just be looking at porn on the family computer". These are the type of people that aren't smart enough to understand that a computer can also be used to look at porn. Sure parents can add blocks and that sort of stuff (stuff that you can't do on the Wii). But still, Nintendo isn't to blame if the parents can't keep track of their kids.

They always do. "Nintendo says you can talk to friends over PictoChat, but what they don't tell you is that anyone can join the chat your kids are in." and so on. Nintendo has the safest online out of the big 3. But still, Nintendo is the one that gets lined up at the firing range. They never say anything about XBox Live, how you can OMG... talk (as in really talk) to people online, and if you got a XBL cam then you can have a video chat. They never say anything about that, because kids who own a 360 is smart enough to know what to do online. It really does piss me off how stupid most people are...

I guess it's because of Nintendo's "kid-friendly" image. That's been so ingrained into the minds of the public and the media that whenever they take a step out and do something that has even the slightest risk of not being "kid-friendly," then they're all over top of it and running with it, making up crap.

Since I've already purchased my little brother a DS Lite, does anyone know what games are worth getting? So far I've purchased only two awesome games, New Super Mario Bros. and WarioWare Touched!

Phoenix Wright: Justice for all (depends where you live though)
Metroid Prime: Hunters
Starfox Command

GoNintendo article said:
It has the dubious ability to access pornography via the internet and most parents are not aware of this fact according to *porn website link removed*
I found that so funny. The fact that we're supposed to take a porn site's comments as a valid source of information is just hilarious. I am sure that most parents are aware of the Wii's internet capabilities. In fact, most "kids" would likely need help from their parents in setting up the wireless on the Wii anyway. So, if parents know that the Wii has the capabilities of accessing the internet, then they know the kind of content that can be accessed on the internet. It's the parents' responsibility to make sure that their children don't access unsuitable content with the Wii. And, if they've raised their children correctly and they've been educated about the internet, their children shouldn't be looking that stuff anyway.

Nintendo Keynotes tomorrow at the GDC. Anyone expecting or hoping for anything?

I want Nintendo to announce a stronger online system.
New Wii channels.
More info on Phantom Hourglass.
NOTHING ABOUT ZELDA Wii.
Zelda timeline
Info on Super Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros. Brawl, and Metroid Prime 3.
New characters in Brawl.
Pikmin Wii.
At least mention the possibility of new franchises.

Sure it's just keynotes, but keynotes contain info, and Powerpoint presentations contain videos. So, I can hope. XD

EDIT: NOT TOMORROW. The site I was reading wasn't very clear. :x

Triffy...GDC's not until next week. The keynote isn't until next Thursday, not tomorrow. XD

Wow a starcraft 2 for the DS? Dang, its at least going to be on the PC as well, i love the nintendo MMO idea the best though, i never thought of it before and it would be awesome to see something like that.

I have come across the first actual online game for the Wii and it comes from a third party so it'll be interesting to see how that goes, a third party going online before Nintendo. Well, the game is Blazing Angels and it's going to have up to 16 players online according to the sites I checked out. I got all of this from Amazon and Gamespot. Check it out for yourselves, I hope this is real and not some mix up or something like that.

So what do you think? Personally, I think it's great news of course. Also, I wasn't planning on getting this game but I'm going to rent it and if I like the game and the online I might buy it.

There's actually been a lot of confusion over whether or not Blazing Angels will actually have online play, because just a week or so ago Reggie himself said that PBR would be the first online game on Wii. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see - a lot of places seem to think that they were referring to the PS3 version of Blazing Angels.

That's exactly what I was thinking but if two major websites say it's online and the IGN website has the box art with the Wi-Fi symbol on it I think this might be true. The information could easily be mixed up but I don't see how the pictures could be wrong because I don't think those websites would put up fake pictures. I could be wrong though.

Well, so much for that.

This whole online deal is really ticking me off now. Every other console (heck, every console but the GCN had online last gen) has online now but the Wii, and Nintendo just keeps holding it back. And we all know when it finally comes, it's going to suck and be nowhere near as good as say, Xbox Live. Stupid friend codes. >>

Online should have been ready at launch. Period. There's no excuse for it whatsoever.

And if there was any hope of hearing what their online plans were within the near future, it's been shattered with this whole "no new information" deal that Nintendo's been put under because of the stock sale.

Dang, that ticks me off too, oh well, i guess Nintendo will keep us occupied with surprise online Wii channels launched until the first online game finally comes out -_- (thats pokemon BR right?)
