Are you cmatz0? >>;
yeah, i just changed my name.

Stevo- Set on island in the sky, yep ^^ And the weapons/spells/items are all in the cards. The levels determine how many cards you have to play before that one is usable, and it has a pretty unique battle system :D

DP- Oh XD HI! I was wondering why I hadn't seen you around in so long @_@

Well that battle does sound strange, but it intrigues me because of it being so individual and new, usually RPGs are and I am not complaining about this but they are usually just Hack and Slashing down your enemies with swords and magic, raising your level and your money to buy stronger weapons and equipment, that is all fun and stuff, I love it, I have no complaints I love ToS, it is probably my fave game that I own for my Cube, but Batan Kaitos has just tried something totally new and I have to say I am impressed but I guess that being as Konami have done so many Tales games that they are really used to making them and that showns up in their work, if Konami stay with Nintendo, I can't say that I will be displeased after seeing ToS, that game just ruled. The main character was cool, I have never played a game where your main character has Duel Swords, I have played a few FF games but the main character never used 2 swords at once, plus most the characters in the game were cool, I liked Kratos and Sheena most.. but still the game was awesome.... more of this please Nintendo.

I'm half asleep so I'll make this quick. XD

but on subject, i think that would be awesome if you could download old games on your DS. of course i doubt it would work out becuase the game would need to be made to work with the 2 screens and the touch screen, so it wouldn't happen, but it still would be cool.
Doesn't have to use two screens. Just use one like GBA games played on the DS.

Yes, Arcanine is right, the games you play on it don't have to be touch screen compatible to play, like playing your GBA games on your DS, so downloading these classics to your DS is very possible and could really happen if Nintendo choose to let it.

Ok question
If it happened and you could only download 1 classic game onto your DS, what would that game be and why?

You can be a deteiled as to why as you want and I will answer in my next post.

Stevo-Kun

I hope the game doesn't blow away after the download. XD

If I could download 1 game to the DS it would be Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask.
Ocarina of Time: It was such a great great game. And would be great to be played on the DS. Everyone that has an N64 should play this game, because it's one of the best I played.
Majora's Mask: I never got to play Majora's Mask. I had to have an Expansion Pack to play the game, and since I didn't have one I was never able to play it.
Since I own Ocarina of Time on the N64 I guess I would go with Majora's Mask.

For me, I think'd it be Pok?mon Stadium.

When I lived back in my old town, I'd play that all the time with my friend. So, part of it would be for the nostolgia and stuff...

But also simply because it was a great game =3 I love the rental pokemon and stuff, plus the minigames PWNED XD

So...I guess that'd be the one I'd choose. I already have Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time for GCN, so I didn't need them again ^^;

Yeah I would choose OoT too being as it was such an amazing game, or Majora's Mask being as I never played that.. but I think MM is alot shorter than OoT so I would end up getting OoT, I like longer games cus they have more gameplay... I know I will like MM, but I just like longer games alot more than shorter ones... I think everyone does... short games that are easy to complete are rather annoying... not saying they are bad... you can get games that are short and very good... but the longer ones are the ones that get remembered.. like OoT.. that is remembered as one of the best games ever made and MM isn't actually remembered as much as it being as it didn't make as much of an impact as OoT did and rightly so... OoT was the best and still is the best game that I have ever played... I really hope that TTP really does improve on that and makes itself known aswell if not more than OoT.

I don't like MM much =/

The timed stuff makes you hurry, and not stop and explore like the other Zelda games. Plus it really just didn't catch my attention that much ^^;

Games that are to rushed never really catch my attention a whole lot... they are fun but like I said, I like the longevity and gameplay to both be there, I love the RPG games where you have to explore, it makes it more fun for me, then just rushing through some game and not being able to explore alot... you need the exploration in games like the Zelda series because it is just the kind of game that requires it.. games like Pokemon, ToS and LoZ have the exploration and that just adds it all up to make it what it is.

Well for games like Pokemon Colosseum, that was cool but they cut out the exploration of the game... which was a major mistake. That is what Pokemon games are known for too, the exploration of the respected region, catching Pokemon and filling your Pokedex and trying to become Pokemon League champ.. Pokemon Stadium didn't do an awful lot eother.. it was an awesome game but it was just battling and no adventure, the adventure and exploration is a vital part of any decent RPG, if an RPG doesn't have that it won't be good enough to be something amazing... that is what I think anyway.

So true. It's also like longer games you can get into better and play again.
I beat Star Fox Adventures in 3 days (I'm glad I rented it and didn't spend the 50 dollars to buy it), that was far too quick. The game is really good and fun, but it's like I didn't want to play it much after beating it. Final Fantay X took me like 3 weeks to beat (might have been a month). That game just went on and on and on and on and I loved it. I have played it over and over and over again after beating it the first time.
To me games that last a long time gets played more and remembered better. Right now I'm sick of all the "short games", games I can beat in a day if I tried (I got to stop myself from beating a game in a day or so). We need more games like LoZ: OoT and FF games and games that just last. I hope Nintendo gets more games that are longer and harder to beat and really fun. I know some people likes shorter games so they can get to the ending really quick. But me, I'm not 10 anymore, games back then that was really hard for me I can beat in a day. I need games that lasts longer and at the same time really fun.

Yeah I am getting rather sick of the games that are too short too and some of them you don't even have to try cus they are so easy.. yeah I know what you mean, you get a really great game with awesome gameplay, but the game wears off after one playthrough, whereas you get games like ToS which you can play once and just play over and over just like you can with your Final Fantasy game, which I have to say I once played FF 9 on the PS1 and I really liked it, I am into the FF games it is just a bad thing that the can't have more of them for Nintendo, it stinks, not to have a game you would enjoy playing on your fave console, but what can ya do really?. Yeah the ones that are longer and have amazing gameplay throughout the duration of the game are the ones that get remembered for years and years, just cus they stick in peoples minds and those types of games are ones you don't want to get rid of even if it is really old.

I do wish they had more Final Fantay games on the GC. I never played FF:CC because it doesn't look all that well to me. I just wish they put games like Final Fantay X, VII, VIII etc that's on the PS/2. Maybe I can get what I want with the Revolution.

I like RPG games, I like games that last, and games you can't beat in a few days.
I know they are hard to make, so I guess we can't help it. We just got to hold out till some good long lasting game comes (that's why I want KH2, FFXII and LoZ: TP so much).

Let me tell you FF:CC is not very good IMO, I have it, I bought it straight away because I was so glad there was a FF game on the cube and at first I loved it and then it kind of got boring and I was very disappointed, I wouldn't objrct to them putting the older ones on the Cube especially after playing 9. Back to FF:CC, it was ok, it kinda got irritating when you had to solve this puzzle in a certain way to get the 4 or was it 5th Element, I got stuck there and it irritated the life out of me, but the weapons on the game, some were pretty cool and the fact that everyone could use Magic but some were faster than others cus they excelled in certain areas was cool. But some of the characters just looked stange, like the ones with the metal things on their heads.

I am with you on liking the RPGs you can't complete in a few dats, I love longevity and I think that is the thing that wants me to play it again, maybe just to try and do it quicker because I know I can complete it, but mainly because it is so much fun to play.

Stevo-Kun

I thought CC was pretty good. I rented it...and I could see that it'd be a lot more fun with more people.

One of my friends always has some others play it with him...I haven't seen him for awhile, so I've never tried the multiplayer. Those Moogles were so cute though =3 Coloring them was pretty fun ^^;

I'm still going to be the Baten Kaitos monger though. Right now I'm stuck on it @@' You have to face three bosses at once, and it gets extremely hard. Even with healing cards...they heal a lot too =/

Yes FF:CC was pretty fun with all the moogles, and I didn't say it wasn't, but it was a let down afte I played FF9 I was expecting something like that, FF:CC and I admit it was a little too cute for a game like FF, it was fun but it didn't have the spark that FF9 had, when I had it on my bros PS1, that actually left me wanting more, I admit it, FF9 was really good for me and it left me wanting more so that is why I was let down when I played FF:CC, I would love them to come on the Gamecube, even if they are pretty old, they could just improve the graphics a little but the don't really need to do that. I do like the cuteness to an extent but on a game like Final Fantasy, it kind of doesn't mix well with it, LIke ToS, if they put cuteness in that I would have killed myself, I really don't think cuteness is well suited to those types of games, Sonic Games yes, being as it is already a cartoon, but Final Fantasy, in my oppinion no.

I would like to join please, ever since i was 7 i got interested deeply in videogames, i have a atari which i used long time ago,a nintendo 64, had 13 cartridge by then,a game boy color,game boy advance,platinum gamecube.

I even turned 6th on a smash melee tournament in my country. But when i turned 14 things started to change ... i could no longer afford GC games, and lost my interest in them thus this.

Right now , i got a GC with SSBM,Super Mario Sunshine,Pikmin 2,and Soul Calibur 2.
I would like to buy , the new Zelda i dont know how called, and DK2 (the one with the bongos)

Yep i used to be a huge fanatic , IGN Reader,etc.

Can someone please update me with the best titles?
