And since the Wii is online, I don't see why Nintendo can't set up some events (big battles) where everyone can go online and battle and go up the ranking board (even if Nintendo didn't do it, I think it'd be good to have something like that on PC). Who knows what Nintendo can do down the road.

Yea, but no reason to not bring it up again (since we go all over with Nintendo things). XD
What bugs me the most is people blaming the Wii. Sure the straps should have been stronger, but at the same time they shouldn't be needed (or like in Triffy's case where he tripped and the strap prevented the Wiimote from hitting something). I mean after all it is still a controller, and it should be treated as one. Not treated as a tennis racket or a bowling ball.
And it's also stupid for people suing Nintendo for their own probs. I mean if I drop a 360 on my foot do I blame MS for making their system too heavy? It's just crazy what someone can get sued over...

I totally forgot about this. X_X
This is what went on Monday night. X-Play had "Best of 06 Awards". You should go in there and watch the vids, look at who beat out who and so on.

Or if you're just too lazy then click below and it'll tell the winners. XD
Spoiler:

I liked the Fighting Game video. XD; I was surprised too~ I really enjoy DBZ, even though I expected it to be pretty bad. I normally don't like fighting games, anyways. but they did a really good job making the controls work for the Wii! It's so much easier to understand.

All in all, I like those results. Especially GotY. I was a little nervous to check the spoiler, but, again, I'm happy.

I would love if Animal Crossing Wii implemented something like that. It'd be boring as heck this year though. We have no snow! T_T;

I can't imagine how the News Channel could be used in a game though. o.o

I requested the thicker strap. I don't think I really need it, but...it's Nintendo and it's free (well, for me, not for them), so I'll treat it like a collector's item. XD

...there are those people who spill coffee on themselves and then blame McDonald's for making the coffee too hot. O_o

Back to Animal Crossing. I have huge expectations for that. Wild World disappointed me, it felt so stripped down compared to the GCN version (why can't I do chores whenever I want? That's all I did in the GCN on. And I have less pattern space. T_T; And the holiday changes were annoying). I really don't want them to use the Miis in it (I think the Sims is going to). Animal Crossing already has a unique look that appeals to everyone, they don't need to simplify it more. But, it would be great to have accurate weather.

Who wants covers...

I think that the Miis work better for the minigame/party games, really. They can store your stats, can't they? If so, it makes sense for them to be used primarily for that. Speaking of which, is there any news on a Mario Party yet?

(Another public entry! And one where Erica teases me. D: )

Any entry that I plan on posting in this thread will end up being public.

Did you miss Erica's LJ entry where two of our email conversations that centred around my typos were posted? XD

Well...I beat TP. And I cried at the ending. And the final boss fight was the best boss fight ever. And yes, I'm fairly sure TP just slightly beats out OoT as my favorite Zelda game (shut up, Triffy XD). I won't spoil anything though~

And those covers are amazing. I wish I had some cases. o_o;

As a game I gave it 9.3/10. But as a Zelda game I gave it 8.4/10.

You can see the full review at my LJ. Beware of spoilers

TP dissapointed me, yes. But it was still a great game and shouldn't be banished to the realm between dimensions at all.
Whoah, old post I know XD

Both your reviews are mostly objective opinion so there's no argument in that, good reviews Oh and the only part I don't really agree on that's not objective opinion is the part where you said that you're Midna's sidekick and you help her instead of the other way around. I think that they both help each other quite a lot.

Spoiler:

Anyways, I'm too lazy to write full reviews of games but I will say what I felt about the game. I also did something to help me figure out if this is indeed the best Zelda ever, I went back and past all of them again. Well, not really but I did go back and pass TWW, MM, and OoT. Crazy, I know, but it was the only way. So anyways, I went back and played OoT, MM, TWW, and TP so I can accurately compare them all and figure out which one is the best with absolutely no nostalgia or fanboyism. My list goes TP, MM, OoT, TWW. That's what I came up with after playing them all again and deciding which ones I enjoyed more without any nostalgia towards a certain game because I know of a lot of people who still worship the first 3-D Zelda game they played because of the simple matter that it was their first. If you don't believe me then ask yourself this, what if MM had come before OoT? I have no idea if that's a fitting list but that's just what I thought. Here are my reasons for my list. TP was an awesome game, one of the best out there, OoT was also awesome but I think TP is the better game without a doubt after playing them both at around the same time. God bless OoT for setting the foundation of 3-D Zelda games because without OoT I don't know what we would have now but I think MM took that foundation and strengthened it and so did TP. Even though neither MM or TP revolutionized the LoZ series I do think they improved upon an already revolutionized (thanks to OoT) series. I played OoT right after TP for a reason and that was to make a direct comparison and TP is, definitely, for me, the better game. So then I played TWW, awesome game and beautiful graphics but it fell below OoT for me, I'll get back to TWW after all of this because after I played all of them I came to another surprising conclusion. So next up was MM, it had a dark story comparable to TP and I thought that it had the better dungeons of all the Zelda games. I fell in love with MM all over again, the masks and the cycles were awesome and the gameplay elements were great. So after playing MM I couldn't decide if TP was better or if MM was better. So I put the other two in order and then I came to the top spot, who would it be, MM or TP? It was a tough decision and I was leaning towards declaring a tie but I decided to call TP the winner. This game was just too good and that's basically it. Anyways, those are my thoughts, didn't really go into detail but then again that would be too much. Heck, the list itself would have been enough but I just started ranting. Oh and the whole Wind Waker thing was that after I played all of them, even though I don't consider it the best I think that TWW was the most enjoyable, it has to do with the cel-shaded graphics, they just look good and make everything colorful and the facial expressions are hilarious and they seriously add another element to the game, if only the game itself was a little better. I could get more specific on why I thought TP was the best but then that would be too much typing. XD

Anyways, I need a break.

Yeah, I didn't cry but the ending was beautiful and I can't say I didn't get a little choked up.

It is a great example of it. Now I just hope they do more with it (other then sports games). Maybe in Animal Crossing (I don't play AC games, but I think it'd be a nice touch to them games).

That doesn't sound good. Did the router work before (as in if you got a Wi-Fi DS game did it work with it)?

Look at it this way, at least you can get online. Both Abby and Aussy don't have Wi-Fi.

Its working more consistantly (sp) now, yeah my DS works fine with it.

IGN have had their award thing for 06, its plastered all over the site go find it XD

Mork, TWW's ending (not the battle) was awesome! OoT was rewarding. TP was cool, but confusing. Wide open for a sequel.

I'm on the Wii browser right now. It doesn't fill the screen. TT

I'm typing this from my Wii. This is taking way too long so I'll edit it on the computer.

EDIT:
For some reason it won't let you type XD either. It changes it to Xd. >>

Anyway, my list probably goes TP > OoT > TWW > MM for 3D Zeldas. MM is the only one I never beat, because I just couldn't stand the time system. I might go back and try to pick it up again and see if I can get into it, since you guys seem to like it so much. XD
Plus I'd be able to say that I beat all the 3D Zelda games.

This is getting really, really annoying. I've had to move my wii to the TV in the office for reasons, and the connection between my Wii and my router has stopped working again.
I tried testing the connection a couple times nothing, so I tried to set up the connection on the second one, and It doesn't even find my router. It can't be a distance problem, unless being in the same room or too close stops it from working.
I've tried the offical site's guide and thats not helped, I don't have a WEP key or any security on my router. My Ds will connect to it fine.
Can anyone help?

Mork, you sure you're using caps lock for XD and not just Shift?

Hmm...you're trying to use the same connection from the same router right? And you tried searching for an access point and nothing happens?

Is the Wii giving you an error code at all? If so, let me know.

If all else fails call Nintendo. It's free. And you get to listen to game music while on hold. XD

Yeah.
Yeah.
I'll probably keep trying later, but I can't see why it won't find it ¬¬

Maybe you should check the channel you have your router set to. You might have to change the settings for your DS but it might work if you change the channel. I don't know if that's actually the problem, it doesn't seem like it would be, but you could try.

I was just thinking...If I got a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector (I don't have a router), if I take it out of my USB port AFTER I set it up with my Wii/DS to put something else in and then put it back in, would I have to set it up again?

I'm sorry, that was very confusing. I hope at least some of you understood it.

All this talk of Wii is making me hungry. o.O

I don't recommend eating your Wii.

Umm...I'm not sure. I know that if I unplug something on my router then I have to set it up again. I don't know how it work with the USB connector. Sorry.

No, Its just a please configure your router settings or something about the SSID, but I've just had an alert on my PC saying that it can't find my router, and I've solved that, so I'll be trying my wii later.

Woah XD

I wouldn't reccomend eating it if its plugged in and on, if it isn't, you can if you want?

EDIT: Right an error code: 51330.
its says
Unavle to connect to the internet. Choose internet settings and then confirm your connection
