Yeah, I have a funny feeling the instruction booklet LIES. DUN-DUN-DUN!!! ;O

I actually figured it out. You swing the remote to cast it and swing it back when it goes down. Then you use the nunchuk to reel it in. Wow, I'm dumb.

If you're fishing with the normal stick thingy than reeling the nunchuck doesn't do a thing. It'll only work in the fishing hole since, you know, your rod actually has a reel there.

Was it just me, or was the master sword's 'almighty power' dumbed down a bit in TP, You basically waltzed into a 'sacred grove' did some puzzle and NA NA NA NA!! you pick up the sword, do a flashy pose thing, and your all set to go kill some evil.

It's worse in The Wind Waker. You move a few triangles and poof, you've got it.

I don't see how what puzzle you have to complete in order to receive the Master Sword diminishes the power or importance of the sword of evil's bane.

In OoT you had to simply play the Song of Time in order to Open the Door of Time. You had to navigate a maze in ALttP. TWW had a puzzle. TP also had a puzzle.

Master Sword's dumbed down in TP because.....?

I don't think the Master Sword is dumbed down, I think you guys meant that it was basically just another sword...right? Or was it just easy to get? Either way the power isn't dumbed down, you get increased power after you get the Master Sword...as in you kill monsters faster...I think, I don't really remember. XD

I suck at those type of puzzles, I swear that puzzle took me like 10-15 minutes just to complete it.

I might be able to convince my mother to take me an hour before they get their shipment. Probably won't happen, though. =(

But if it does happen, where do you actually wait for it?

EDIT: So I called my local Target this morning to find out when their new shipment of Wiis was coming in. They said they got some today. I was soooo happy. But then I realized that my brother had my mom's car and my dad's car was being fixed. My brother came home with my mom's car 20 minutes later. By that time I was really doubting they had any Wiis left, because they only had five come in. We went down to Target and the guy said he just sold the last one. He was...kidding! I was actually the first person. They hadn't even put them on the shelves yet. So... I GOT A WII! Am I the last person here to get one? o.O All I have is Wii Sports, but I'm going to trade in some of my GameCube games at GameStop to buy Excite Truck. I also need a wireless router.

The wiimote is soo small.
Congrats. Everyone needs a Wii... I just wish it was as simple for everyone...

What Samurai X said about the FCs does sound sort of right... I mean maybe PBR needs a second FC because of Pokemon D/P..... Maybe we'll find out more about Wii friend codes once more online games comes out.

I'm not going to comment on TP because... I haven't played it much... OMG put them stones DOWN! I'll get around to beating TP... Once I beat Final Fantasy XII *Runs*. XD

True? Or not? Sure I'm not going to say it's real numbers till Nintendo spits them out. But still, if it is then Nintendo sold double the PS3 (no shocker), and half of the 360 in one month. Now that'd be a big big big shocker to all of them MS and Sony fanboys (the ones that says the Wii is going to lose).

That number seems about right to me. If I were to guess I probably would've guessed a little bit lower though. However, I have absolutely no idea how many units Nintendo are replenishing each week, I suppose the number is higher than I would've estimated.

And since the Wii is still gonna be sold out in a lot of places for another few weeks, that number is gonna rise even higher. At the rate they're going, Wii will overtake the 360 by next christmas, easily.

Triffy, if you're still confused about fishing, it's not too bad. o.o; All you have to do is wait for your lure to be pulled completely underwater, and then flick the Wiimote back. For reel fishing it's similar, except with the reel motion. I had to look to a FAQ to figure it out, though, because I was having such a hard time fishing for the Reekfish. XD;

EDIT: Gah, people! Neither Andy nor Mork is online, and Triffy is on vacation. That means I have to edit instead of post. :< But whatever. Today, I got my Wii component cables! :D They're really thick, and come in a nice box. You just plug them into the A/V port on the Wii, and then there are five plugs for your TV. At first, my TV didn't register them as component and made it black and white, but I eventually got it to behave.

I tried it on my little 720p TV with widescreen and 480p enabled, and it did look prettier. Not...like, a whole lot, but it'd certainly be noticeable if you had a large HDTV. (As apparently all of my friends do) If you do go that route, make sure to set it to 16:9 after selecting 480p. I didn't at first, and wondered why it was so stretched. xD So yeah. They're coolness.

The package also had a Wii safety sheet, with more Wiimote-strap stuff on it. o_o It told you what anyone should realize--wear the strap and do not throw the remote. But it just goes to show that Nintendo is being very responsible, and isn't liable in any way.

XD This is one of the many rare times I see Abby post here. Anyways, nice one on the component cables! I really do believe that it looks surprisingly better. XD

My TV doesn't even have component inputs, so it'd be a waste to get them. The living room TV has them, but it's not HD/widescreen and the Wii's in my room... XD

*wants a widescreen HDTV* XD

Rare? I'm back, Waka. :x

And Mork: My TV isn't widescreen or HD either, but the component cables are still pretty cool. I had them for the Gamecube, too.

I can make my 4:3 TV imitate a widescreen display. XD It looks pretty cool, but the real-size aspect isn't really real. XD But it looks pretty good.

But 720p is HD, Abby. Unless that's not your TV. XD

My GC doesn't even have the component output on the back. It's one of the newer models, apparently.

I'm not using that little HDTV for my Wii, nope. Just a standard TV with component. o.o; It's not a huge difference. It was mostly to free up the Svideo/compositie port on the back. XD;

That reminds me... I bought Wii Points today! I saw them beside some Video Cables (Some were component, others composite, I think). It was like the only box left with 2000 points so I just grabbed it, so now I managed to waste them in 5 minutes with Super Mario 64, Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda. Pretty awesome I tell ya, and believe me, it's the first time I ever play a real NES game. XD
