NFL: Predictions and Such...

Whoo go Chargers yah! If only they were as good as they were last year

Me thinks that Pats will go 16-0 and Miami 0-16. Funny how Miami was the first team to have a perfect season, they could be well on their way to a new record. 1st to not win any games

They wouldn't be the FIRST to win 0 games, but it's still pretty embarrasing :P

As for the Chargers. No matter how much talent they have on that roster, they made waaay to many staff changes to be as good as last year. You can't take a team like last years that was all on the same page, and then give them a new coach, a new O-coordinator, AND a new D-coordinator

A lot of people like to blame the chargers mediocre play all on Norv Turner, as he has a history of disappointing. I certainly think Marty is better than Norv, but a lot of blame just goes to the entire coaching staff being new. Give it a year or two, and I think the Chargers will be dominant.
Also, Sean Merriman's been a little less than he was last year *cough* steroids *cough*

The one thing that's really disappointed me about the Chargers is not LT's less than stellar production...But Phillip Rivers. he's a guy I like a lot, but he's struggled a LOT this year

Yeah, go Yuckaneers!

My poor Phins...and loling at Maurice Jones-Drew DESTROYING Shaun Merriman on that block. Yeah, he needs to get back on the Roids it seems O_O lol

AHAHAH I love Maurice Jones-Drew
That little man can run over people.

loling athawn Merriman. It might have been the funniest thing I've ever seen. And then the guy makes an excuse. Typical linebacker...lol

Really? What did he say?

You know what young linebacker is REALLY impressing me though?
PATRICK WILLIS
The man is a beast

He said he didn't have his feet set or something :/ LOL!

But really, if you saw last night's MNF game...wow, Brian Billick will never live down the Timeout on 4th down, will he? lol

you know what would REALLY be embarrassing? If Miami beats the Patriots, and that game being the only one the patriots lose and the only games th dolphins win

Hahaha, I was more impressed by the lovely antics of Samari Rolle and Bart Scott xD
I didn't realize it was POSSIBLE to get that many penalties xD

Well, I guess if all else fails, my Dolphins can stop 'em! CRAP! Looks liek the Pats migth get to 16-0, but they're certainly not invincible.

Yeah, I knew that their whole 'invincible' status wouldn't last forever. No team can be THAT good. There's just not as much separation in talent between NFL teams as it is in the College or High School level
Randy hasn't been stopped, but he's been contained the last two weeks

I just loved how SI had those old "wise" linebackers on their cover, only to get smashed in the mouth by the Ravens and Willis McGahee. lol, they did get hammered. I'm just tired of the whole "humble pie" deal. It's a bit ironic, they seem to be cocky about how humble they are. Contradicts itself, but true nonetheless.

The Pats really do have a great linebacker corps, but losing Roosevelt Colvin hurts...and yeah...Willis spanked 'em xD
And that's saying something, because he's had his struggles this year and last year. Never been a big fan of him. I prefer balanced RBs or West Coast style RBs to just power runners
The one exception being Marion Barber...because he's just beastly xD

Then there's Adrian Peterson...he's on my Fantasy team :0 Wow, he is deadly good :0

He sure is!
But he's a more balanced RB than Willis. Willis can run people over and make them look like their in junior tackle...but Adrian Peterson has options:
1: Should I juke him out of his socks?
2: Should I cut once and use my speed to beat him to the corner?
3: Should I truck him?

he's just insanely good. then toss in the fact that the Vikings have arguably the best backup RB in the league [Chester Taylor] and the Vikes are probably gonna get a wildcard....that's one team I hope my Packers don't have to face in the playoffs

lol truck him lol

Now that is funny, but oh so true :0

Anyways, I (being the homer that I am) am picking the DOLPHINS to upset the Pats! and yes, I took my pills this morning. That would be an all-time upset...

Honestly, as strange as it sounds, it could happen.
There's been more than one occasion during the Patriot's "Iron-fisted rule" that the 'Fins have upset them
I think there was a year where they were 14-1 and the Dolphins beat them at the end of the year. So it could happen, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high :P

The Phins usually beat the Pats at least once a year. Too bad Ricky Williams AND Ronnie Brown are DONE for the year :0 Meh, who knows? Hey, look at what George Mason did in the NCAA Tournament a few years back in college hoops...anything can happen...poor Uconn :0

Well lets look at it this way... Miami WILL NOT beat New England although I hope they do being that I hate New England since im a Jets Fan. Also, for this weeks game, you need to look at a few things: The Steelers are wayyyy below .500 on the road, actually im not even sure if they have won a game on the road yet, but when they faced the Jets they were 0-3 on the Road. Also, The Patriots are Dead. They have yet to practice this week due to them being tired. If anyone has a chance to beat them its the Steelers. The patriots are Down right now, and if the steelers can capitalize on that, and have a strong 1st half, and control the tempo in the 2nd they Will win the game. another thing you need to look at is their Defense. They are a Run stopping FIRST, Pass stopping SECOND defense. You have to question if they can adapt to this style of offense. Since we are talking defense, lets talk NE Defense. These last 2 games they have been in have not exactly been good. They allowed AJ feely to DESTROY their secondary ESPECIALLY over the middle which by the way is the WORST part of their D. They also allowed the Ravens to literally RUN all over them, and they also allowed Kyle Boller to do some damage although the Offensive coordinator of the ravens did not allow him to throw the ball a lot. Now, Being that they allowed 2 Back up QBS to do this, that leaves me with one question:WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK BEN ROTHELISBERGER IS GOING TO DO TO YOU?! Lets face it Big Ben, is among the top QBs, have an above 100.00 QB rating. I believe it is around 103-108.00. Not to mention they have the AFC lead rusher in Willy Parker. So in conclusion, As long as The Steelers Defense can maintain Welker, and Moss like the Ravens, and the Eagles, which was by putting Pressure on Brady,(which was a mixture of Worn out O-linemen, and Good Defensive packages, and creative blitzes) Then they will be able to Win.
