'NICK!' 'What?' 'What?' 'What?'

My name is Nicole and everyone has that name. It was in the top 20 of most popular baby names in my birth year. I don't have many friend with that as a first name, but a few as a middle name and it's more than obnoxious. I wish my name was Nicolette. :c

All through primary (elementary) and high school, my best friend's name was Andrew. My name is also Andrew, obviously, so our group just overcame it by calling me Andrew and him Andy.

This suited me fine, because I always hated the name Andy. Now I love it though lol, it's so relaxed and friendly.

I never encountered any other Ericas until grade... 8, I think? Then there was another Erica in my class, and all through high school there was an Erica in my art class. All spelt the same way. Now the only Erica I know is my friend's sister and she spells it wrong with a K and... we are rarely anywhere near each other so it's not too confusing. Back in school, we'd always just differentiate by "Erica C" or "Erica D" and so on, though I think the high school Erica had a nickname based on her last name. Online, I don't know any Ericas. There's not much room for confusion. :'D

It's hard to make a nickname out of "Erica" (I guess "Er" is one but I don't really like it) so I'm glad I don't run into many.

My first name is Samantha. Yeah. Let me put it this way: when I first started working at my current job, we had about 6 other people working there. Very small store. One of them was also Samantha. >_<

Last name's pretty common too, although these days I don't see many people with it. Then again I don't see many people's last names at all.
Apparently one of the years I attended high school, in the city I live in now (which isn't too big at all), there was someone with my first and last name! I still boggle at that coincidence. o__O

Alex, my irl name, is far too common. Fortunately I don't hang around much with people that have that name but there are always some around anyway. It really can get quite annoying.

Generally people will have some sort of nickname for me though, or just use someone's surname instead. I don't like my last name very much though, so one of my two middle names are sometimes used instead, oddly. As they're pretty common knowledge. Shame that they're pretty common too, haha.

Only older women have the shorter, feminine version of my name (it was popular in the 70's) and as for my full first name, only older men seem to have it. No, I'm not telling you my name, lol. But anyway, I've never really had a problem with someone having the same first or last name as me. However, I have been in a class with three guys named James.

Nicknames based off my name...hmmm...my parents call me by them, but that's really it. I don't have any friends that give me nicknames based off my name. lol I have gone by my first and middle initials before though. Once again, you'll never know.

It's hard to make a nickname out of "Erica" (I guess "Er" is one but I don't really like it) so I'm glad I don't run into many.

Rica, Era, Ric, Riri, etc.

I've never known another Savannah in real life. I've found one or two on the internet, but otherwise... no. So yeah. Never been close to anyone with my name.

As a side note, I really hate my name so I go by Anna. Which is common as hell but I don't stand out that way so it's okay.

There was... this other guy named Kevin. But we never really meet each other that much anymore, we only had 1 class together about three years ago. But we don't talk so it didn't matter much. People just say to me they meant the other Kevin or whatever.

So, in your main (be it online or IRL) group of friends do any of your names clash?

Nope, I'm not trying to be concieted when I say this, but my name is really one of a kind. How many other kids do you know that are named Nature?

My name is Kelsey and in my high school class of 350ish, there were only 3 Kelseys including me and I was rarely ever in class with either of them. In fact, I was only ever in classes with one of the Kelseys, I never met the other one.

In college...I don't think I have, actually! So no, none of my friends irl have it.

in regards to this title though: I'm close friends with 5 Nicks. so whenever I meet a guy and his name is Nick, I'm like ....of COURSE it is hahaha.

My parents named me Jacob partially because it was unusual. Here we are years later and it's what everybody is calling their little kids. =/ I've encountered no less than four other Jacobs, all younger than 5 or 6. There was one who looked about 14ish, but hoy, too many of 'em.

My online name is Lemony Lime, (except here, since this is pokemon related) and I actually met two people named Lemons, and Limes one day...

No one knows the difference between the three of us. lol

I'm in the completely wrong fandom to find someone else with my user name. And even in the correct fandom, the name isn't a popular choice for screen names, so I'm safe there. I still have a nickname for this user name though that I think anyone else would consider themselves too dignified for.

As for my real life name, there's no one else that I know that has it.

Here we are years later and it's what everybody is calling their little kids.
Hahaha, Twilight.

Online this name is unique. If I ever find out that someone has taken the name and it's not me I'll cry.

As for in real life, I've met about one other person with my name, and while I don't exactly remember, but I think they pronounced their name differently than mine. Since that was back in sixth grade and I haven't found anyone afterwards for the most part, I'm pretty safe when it comes to my name.

We used to have two Daniel's so we called them by their second name. Now one of them is gone and we still call the other one by his second name because, after 10 years, we are not going to change it in our minds XD

What?!?!?!

...I came here because it had my name in the title.

My real name is Matthew. When there's another Matthew in the group, sometimes one of the other groupmates calls me "Matt."
