Which was the most exciting thing featured for you? Anything you expected that wasn't revealed?

For me, I was probably most hyped to see the new Zelda trailer, and while it does look good, I think seeing a new Layton Game being teased sent me to the next level of hype. I also was v excited to see the Ghost Trick remake, as well as the GB/GBA titles being added to the Switch Online library.

    What about y'all?

With the way things are going... Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has so much content at this point that it might become my first game I actually spend 200+ hours in. Or not. Only time will tell.

Glad to see that GB and GBA are going to be on NSO now. Makes me wonder if Pokemon games will follow on it. We might find out during the Pokemon Day stream. But TPC/GameFreak do weird ass shit so it's possible they just... don't.

I'm happy for Metroid and Zelda fans. I really am. I'm just personally not interested in either.

First half was extremely bad. But that's just how I felt obviously.

Nothing here was really for me other than RainCode with a solid release date. Still unsure on if I'll get it for Switch or wait for a PS4/PS5 version for the possibility of an easy Platinum.

But I do have two buffers between the Xillias now with both a Kirby Return to DreamLand Deluxe and Octopath Traveler II demos.

Most exciting: Probably Soren in the Fire Emblem Engage DLC. Does not own the DLC. May not buy it either. Appreciates seeing Soren, nonetheless.

Most surprising not there: A Mario game. Released Odyssey in late 2017. (Also technically Mario Maker 2 in mid 2019.)

Did not care for too much here. Owns Baten Kaitos, Kirby, Tales of Symphonia, Metroid Prime, and Advance Wars on their original systems. Wants the Gameboy Advance Fire Emblem as one to keep, not an Online rental, so to speak. Is not particularly interested in Pikmin or Legend of Zelda.

    Two other things:
    - Hopes for some voiceover changes in the first Baten Kaitos.
    - Was most surprised by anything related to Golden Sun. Released Dark Dawn in late 2010. Made cameos in Smash, but not much else since then.

Goodness, this was a Direct well worth staying up for. I am extremely disappointed that the Baten Kaitos remasters won't have their English voice acting - and they have the gall to claim on the Q+A section of the website nothing has been cut! - but I am overjoyed that they even exist. I'll take what I can get, especially as I never got the chance to play Origins due to it never releasing here.

Etrian Odyssey is also a wonderful surprise after hearing nothing for years. Considering how much these games cost to buy on the DS - the third one especially, since it never got an "Untold" remake on the 3DS - I'm glad they're going to be on Switch at a moderate price point.

The Xenoblade 3 story DLC looks like it'll redeem the game for me, too. I was extremely disappointed in Xenoblade 3's story but this had me ridiculously excited!

NEW PROFESSOR LAYTON GAME!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited. I'm also very pleased about Ghost Trick coming out on Switch, even if I probably won't be playing it this year since I replayed it too recently and remember all the twists.

I'm also tentatively interested in Decapolice and Rain Code as I just kinda love mystery/detective games and they could be good. I've definitely enjoyed plenty of games by their developers before.

edit: Oh! And Sea of Stars looks gorgeous and they have my full attention.

I think it was okay Direct. Nice to see some news on Pikmin. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective looks interesting. I've never played the original. DECAPOLICE also caught my attention a little bit.

I always wanted to try Professor Layton games, but I couldn't find physical copies of previous games for 3DS. Maybe I should buy them digitally before the 3D shop closes. Or I will wait for this one on Switch.

I'm looking forward trying some Game Boy games on Switch. Just few days ago, I started playing The Minish Cap on the original Game Boy Micro. If I knew about this, I would wait and play it on Switch.

Enjoyed it for the Xenoblade news and GBA for Switch Online alone. Gen III aside, there's a lot of GBA games I've missed out on as a kid (Golden Sun and the first Fire Emblem for example). The Baten Kaitos remaster also caught my attention since I've heard so much praise for them lol
