    Well, a sandwich rolling down a hill is just unnatural looking!

    I don't think anyone could forget that culture erasure of the rice ball in the anime. Anyway, there are a lot of dub edits that are a little funny or out there. What are some of the edits in the dub you found rather ridiculous, or funny? This can include dialogue that was completely changed, too.
     
    I can't think of any right off top of my head at the moment, but I love the jelly-filled-donut one.

    I guess they figured we wouldn't know what a rice ball was? Haha.

    In all fairness, that rice ball was way too big as it is (it's nearly half Ash's height in that image).

    As far as dub edits, well, they did add in some stuff for Movie 4 that strongly hinted at Oak being Sammy, and in Movie 2, there was an addition to adequately foreshadow the Ancient Mew card and Ash being the chosen one.
     
    4Kids and their edits to make things more American was just the worst. Especially with calling rice balls stuff like "donuts" and "sandwiches", and heck even replacing a rice ball with a sandwich itself!
     
    In the episode The Snubbull Snobbery, they call rice balls popcorn balls.

    4Kids had sometimes got Pokemon facts wrong. Some made me laugh and some were just cringey:
    - In the episode Moving Pictures, Dexter says that the sun stone evolves Gloom into Vileplume.
    - "Water is weak against fire."
    - Moves were sometimes called by their Japanese names. In Mild n Wooly, Swift is called Speed Star and in The Battling Eevee Brothers, Eevee's Take Down is called Rage Tackle.
    - Lets not forget that infamous Trainer's Choice in the Advanced series; "Which of these Pokemon evolve into Seviper? If you said Arbok, you were right."

    Oh, how much this makes me cringe to this day. This segment was a dub add-in by 4kids, since after the first season of AG, 4Kids was doing Pokemon by themselves. That entire segment in the anime is ridiculous, let's not even try to lie about that.

    Let's not forget the ridiculous paint jobs, like this!

    I still don't understand the editing of Ash's badge case to this day.
     
    I'm not too keen with noticing botched dub edits, but one notable one that I can think of right away is in the first movie, where Corey says "Hurricane winds are a breeze for Pidgeotto here" after Ash and co. meet him at Mewtwo's island palace, even though the Pokémon he's talking about (and shown) is actually Pidgeot.

    You and me both. For me, that is definitely the least understandable dub edit in Pokémon and most likely even the least understandable dub edit at all.

    I don't know if this belongs to this thread, but to this day I don't understand 4Kids' logic behind their pronunciation of Bonsly in Movie 8. I understand it was introduced before that movie, and 4Kids probably already knew that it will be one of the last things they'll do for Pokémon, but the more they should've shown they care for Pokémon. Instead, however, even in their last movie they showed their ignorance to the franchise they worked with for seven years. Not that TPCI doesn't have its own share of mispronounced Pokémon, mind you, but seriously, how could anyone not catch the pun behind Bonsly's name?
     
    I remember a few of errors in the Legend of Thunder special:
    - Eusine is called Eugene and he sounded a lot older than he did in For Ho-Oh the Bells Toll.
    - One of the main characters is named Vincent, but he was named Jackson in the Johto league episodes. I guess 4Kids didn't realise they're the same guy since Legend of Thunder was dubbed a couple years apart from the Japanese version which aired the same time as late Johto while Chronicles aired in the west during beginning to mid Hoenn.
    - Raikou is pronounced ry-koo, when it's actually pronounced ry-ko.
    - I wouldn't call this an error, but they made Hun a woman even though he's a guy in the Japanese version. I'm guessing 4Kids wanted to make Attila and Hun a male-female duo just like Jessie and James and Butch and Cassidy.

    They also made some random or unnecessary edits in the fifth movie:
    - They made Annie and Oakley members of Team Rocket even though they have no mention of working for them in the original.
    - The storybook scene at the beginning which got cut out in the dub mentions that more than one Latios and Latias visit Alto Mare. When I first saw the movie, I was confused as to why you see a Latias flying with two Latios during the end credits.
    - For some reason, they thought it was a good idea to add a blue tint to make the colours look darker.
