Was I the only one who felt like Genration V as a whole was just broing?
I did not find the pokemon intresting at all, usally I can play through the games over and over again, but with b/w and b2/w2 I struggled to get through one playthrough. I just found it very boring. Luckly X/Y are great!
But anyway did anyone else feel this way abouyt Gen V?

To be honest, I found B/W & B/W2 to be very exciting and action-packed. The new Pokemon were great, the storyline was amazing, the graphics were beautiful. There were lots of new features that I loved such as shaking grass and tree hollows, and the characters' development were just really complete in general. The games really captured me and gave me lots of precious memories, leaving me emotionally attached to them. I won't mind replaying them time and time again. This is just my personal preference.

Wow we have completly diffrent views on this generation! I absolutly loved Gen 4! I think my love for gen 4 made it diffciult me to like gen v

I for one loved Gen 5. The graphics were stunning for the DS, the plot was interesting, Pokemon were pretty cool, music, everything else was wonderful. I liked a lot of the new mechanics. Triple battles are fun and Rotation battles are challenging. I likes challenging the Elite 4 in any order. Shaking grass made trying to find rarer more fun. I liked it.

I didn't really like the original Black and White all that much at first, for a few reasons (stupid difficulty, namely near the beginning of the game, I found Team Plasma to be meh back then except their leaders, only being able to use new Pokémon throughout the main game, and not as much after-game), but they grew on me. They did introduce some new Pokémon I thought were really cool, too.

Black 2 and White 2 on the other hand, no. Not for a second did I find playing through it dull. I love the abundance of Pokémon to choose from, the fact that there's so much post-game, the visual presentations *cough Elite Four and Champion cough*, among many other things. Oh, and Ghetsis tries to freaking freeze your character alive with Kyurem. I've played them several times, and they were bar none #1 for me prior to XY. Well, actually, it's pretty darn close between the two even now (BW2 I definitely found to have more fun battles than XY, for one). This is just me though.

Funny thing about Black 2 and White 2 is, I wasn't that excited for it at first until I accidentally watched Marriland's blind Japanese playthrough of it. xP Namely the final few parts including Black Kyurem and Ghetsis, and the Elite Four + Champion as well.

I also didn't find Gen V to be all that exciting as well... I did have a few favourites like Braviary and Samurott, but the game overall wasn't very enjoyable to me. I only liked beating down Team Plasma and catching the Legends. B2/W2 was an improvement.

I liked B2/W2 it was full of content and was really fun for me. While I didn't like the graphics I still enjoyed the game. It had a lot more to do after beating the Champ then X/Y does.

I think 5th Gen was a really great generation in my opinion, it had some good graphics (not as great as X/Y, but still good 3D effects on the buildings I admit), memorable characters and some pretty darn strong Pokemon found in Unova. Black and White may have lacked a bit of post-game but the awesome story made up fot that, plus Black 2 and White 2 gave us loads and loads of post-game content. Put it all together and you get one heck of a badass generation.

Not to mention 5th Gen is my fave generation. The Unova Pokemon have a lot of my faves among them.

I really enjoyed Black and White, to be honest. Loved all the new mechanics that they've introduced, most of the new Pokémon were creative and well-designed (with my favorites being Zekrom, Zoroark, Zorua, Volcarona, and Golurk), music were fun to listen, and the story was very engaging. As for Black 2 and White 2, those were okay, but not as good as their predecessors. To me, they felt as if they were just rehashes. They do have differences here and there (especially in the story and a few in-game locations), but everything else seemed to remain the same. In my opinion, it would've been really nice if they had made their storyline completely separate from Black and White. I know that these are meant to be sequels, but still. d:

I enjoyed playing BW, certainly. But I preferred B2W2 moreso, and if I was to replay one of the two then it would be the sequel. Even if BW did more with its story imo, B2W2 had more to do in them, even beyond the E4. BW was lacking in side stuff to do imo, so I think in that regard it was a little boring.

I agree with you Flare, it was really a lot more exciting in B2W2 than BW1 in my opinion. There was just so much more available and a lot of the fun revolved around the story and abundance of pokemon. BW1 were great in a sense like how RBG were great to GSC. It was a package of games instead of them standing alone.

At first glance, I was disappointed with the fifth generation. But upon seeing seeing the Pokemon, I found a few good ones that I really wanted to try out. I bought Pokemon White, since it had Reuniclus, Braviary, and Zekrom, which I like better than their respective counterparts from Black. And I really enjoyed the game, despite the inability to use any old Pokemon prior to the Elite Four.

I've also played Pokemon White 2, and loved it.

Im shocked at how many people enjoyed B2/W2

What didn't you like about them? As far as Pokemon sequels go they were pretty good in my opinion. And I didn't even like 5th gen that much.

Yeah, not that I don't respect your opinion, but to be surprised that so many people like one Pokémon game would be like saying that about any other. For example, say I didn't like the Sinnoh games (although I do), and I said I was shocked at how many people like Platinum. Would that strike you as odd?

There really is no main series Pokémon game that's received negatively by the standards of the franchise, although I feel like BW2 have been the worst received of them (although still generally good), either BW2 or DP, I don't know why but that's just what it feels like.
