Suggestion: Notifications for VM's

If the option for VM notifications, were completely customizable, should it be a new feature?

    As you may know VM's are Visitor Messages. I know that I can get notices on pratically everything I do here, my threads, my PM's, even get notices from threads I posted on(if I set the setting accordinally). Is there a way to get an e-mail notice for VM's? I couldn't find it on my settings, so if it's there, can you direct me? I'm the type of person, who responds to whatever message I get, as quickly as possible, and I hate having people wait. Most of time, I will be available to message, but I'm preoccupied and don't notice it.

    If this isn't possible as of now, take this as a suggestion, then.

    I don't think we have email notifications for VMs, actually. Only for PMs. Although I'd like to see that happen, but I would much prefer that option to stay for PMs only imo. (because some of us get a gazillion VMs a day so they don't really want their email to get bombarded with a lot of notifications haha).
     
    How could the VM's be organized that you get a notice, without it becoming, overly annoying? Maybe, in the settings, you can adjust for a quantity of VM's you get, before an e-mail notice. So a "E-mail notice, once every 5 VM's" or something along those lines?

    Even though I'm okay with the PM only notification, it would be nice to at least receive notification for VM's too. And I also like the fact that you can decide how many VMs can you get before notification by e-mail.

    Maybe there can be an option where you can select which emails you get; for instance, you can select that you want PMs but not VMs for one user, and another user can select that they want both. It can be an option in the end which the user ultimately decides whether or not to enable.
