5th Gen O-Powers

O-Powers were a mysterious power that was introduced to Pokémon in Generation V. They allowed you to gain easier access to certain things in-game, such as getting more EXP or prize money after battles, lowering or raising the encounter rate, or other interesting things that could affect you for good or bad while adventuring. In Black 2 and White 2, you get access to them by doing Funfest Missions, which require you to do certain tasks and in return give you Pass Orbs for your efforts. I don't remember how you get them in BW, but they were a thing then, too.

Did you ever get to use any O-Powers to good effect? If so, which ones? Did you ever take place in any Funfest Missions, whether with others or yourself? Discuss.

I think you meant Pass Powers, which acts similarly to Gen VI's O-Powers. :) Pass Powers are purchased with Pass Orbs from Entree.

I rarely use Pass Powers since the method to receive and purchase them is a bit different than Gen VI's O-Powers.

I'm pretty sure I never used them, despite having a few Pass Orbs. It took me awhile to figure out all the Entralink mechanics (and to this day I still don't understand a bunch of them, mostly because you had to play with other gamers which I couldn't do), but with Pass Powers I couldn't think of a good time to use them. *shrugs*

I actually used them quite a bit during my recent Wonderlocke. The EXP one alongside the Lucky Egg help me grind. I also used the Bargin Shopping one since I'm cheap, but I only had that one on level one. The last one I found use for was the Wild encounter one since I was grinding and I was having the worst luck in a cave which pretty ironic lol.

I never used any Pass Powers (thanks Sun for the correction) but they do have their uses and it was great to see them get carried over to 6th Gen as the O-Powers. The powers raising stuff like prize money and EXP points was a nice anti-frustration help to players as well.
