Does anyone have any idea why Giratina's HP bar is Black/Green.
And why its HP bar goes out of the ENTIRE box.

Also,
I think this might be something they do for "Dark" or "Shadow" pokemon,
but i doubt they'd make that big of an advancement.

I believe the black part is in fact the arrow pointing to which Pokemon is which. All Gen III games and afterward have this, as far as I can remember.

I am a little concerned and worried about the circle-shaped floor being underneath the defending Pokémon. It looks a little odd to me, or maybe the Levitating Pokemon don't have floors in this game.

I hope the tutors would make a comeback, but it is highly doubtful as the old Emerald Tutor moves were converted into TMs, at least most of them. The three elemental punches and Curse are what I'm hoping for.

I actually don't really care about the altered storyline in the new game, but what effect it would have on the metagame. There is the origin form of Giratina, and maybe a new ability for Regigigas as speculated, Levitate.

That alone puts Regigigas as the 3rd most attack, tied with Slaking, below Rampardos and Deoxys-A. 100 base speed outspeeds the RSE legends, and Gigas gets the Normal type, which means only a Fighting weakness and STABed Return.
I predict if the new Gigas form were to come out, it would be top-tier Uber as 110/110/110 ensures that Giratina/Lugia would not break a Sub with a bit of HP investment on Gigas' side, and EQ/Fire Punch ensures Meta doesn't get away, and Forry can't do much.

I'm more concerned about Regigigas than Giratina's new form, which there is currently not much information on. I think it will come out as something like Speed Deoxys (read: crappy, but still Uber =* )

I was just thinking the same thing. What made Regigigas 'mortal' was Slow Start. If they take that away, surely they would need to reduce the stats. I think a similar thing should happen as Deoxys. Levitate should mean a reduction in stats, mainly Atk and Spd, as those are the stats that Slow Start effects.

I would also like to know if there is going to be an item (like the Lustrous and Adamant orbs) for Giratina. If this Origin forme is... true to form, then and increase in Atk and Speed stats, with a boost according to the Orb, could mean we have another pokemon primed for Ubers. Just my thoughts.

As a side note, I am happy that I got my R4, because now I can play the Japanese version, and not have to wait nearly 12 months before it comes out in Australia...o.0

Well, looking at the screenshots and whatnot, I think that the new outfit will only be used in certain contexts. Because of its snow jacket-ish look, I think that the outfit will only be used on the snow routes and Mt. Coronet. This would explain why his hat is still red, and why he is wearing it in this particular shot.

Of course, I could always be wrong, but the same type of suit was given to Cooltrainers on the same route, in a brown color.

Next, the HP bar. It would probably be color coded according to the legendary. Giratina's would be *squints* black and gold, while (just a guess) Lake Trio = White + Color of their heads, Dialga + Palkia = White + Light Blue/Light Pink (or Light + Dark Pink/Blue), etc. Just speculation.

Also, I think that there will not be anymore info in this issue of CoroCoro on the game, due to the "Wait for the next issue for more details" thing on the side. If this has already been said, sorry :/

I like your dawn out fir better than the original i wouuld so use it and with the guys one nice the blue but it should be all blue or all red but i like the silver bag and my friend said he read something on the net about volkener becoming the head of the new battle zone but that is a complete rumor he lies a lot but it could be true so i thought i should alret you people

I've just tried to remake Dawn, too. I haven't given her new clothes because I'm not very good. Yours is better, but I thought I'd try. You can't really see it here, but I'd tried making the bag silver. Well, it's my first ever time trying this kind of stuff haha

I hope they have wifi contests, that'd be really cool

I don't really care much about the outfits, everything went downhill from R/S/E, and the new blue outfits are an improvement on the old outfits (I suppose). The new origin form of Giratina looks like a winged Caterpillar thing.

Anyway, I doubt the origin form would have a big impact on Ubers, as it stands now Rayquaza is the premiere Uber dragon due to DD + STAB Outrage. Giratina doesn't have much in the way of typing/moves to rival Rayquaza.
What I would see is Giratina running a Specs set at best with Draco Meteor/Earth Power/Shadow Ball, Aura Sphere/Dragon Pulse/Thunder, or a CM set. But its Dragon and Ice weaks, as well as Pursuit weak kinda make the CM set discouraging, as well as no Special Stat booster item like Latias.

Wifi contests would be excellent, I can't stand another game were my Azumarill owns that goldeen (or whatever XD;). >>; Honestly, the contests, competitive & design wise, in general needs a revamp in my opinion. I kinda wish they would make it more like the anime... There's just no hype to contests in the game at all. Such as "Yay contest, you win!" Boring... They've always been easy. O_o" (Though, that could just be me) Adding wifi to it would be a superb addition. It would be very nice to compete with friend's across the globe. ;D I hope they do mess around with contests, who knows *shrugs*

Anyway, on the Volkner situation as talked about earlier. I would agree, he could roam the land in search of trainer's with worthy play. However, you bring up an interesting idea, Oniko. It seems unheard of to even bring up, but a duel champion? We've never had two champions with the same region, in the third game they've switched sometimes but never together. Think about a double battle with Volkner and Cynthia... That would be something, but it's against the grain of 'Champion' so most likely won't happen. Anyway, seeing them switch off Champion slots throughout the game seems logical, Volkner reserving Cynthia's spot possibly until she is done with her travels. However, that has no affect on us, and we probably wouldn't face him in that case. Or (Yeah, another idea) We could face Volkner in the first Elite Four, and remember in the past how the Elite Four after you beat them the firsty time got much harder... Well, maybe we beat them with Volkner and then after that the Elite Four upgrades in levels and such and you go back to face Cynthia. I would like to see that too. Many many possibilities with the Volkner situation.

I think a good bet on his deal would be... He challenges the Elite Four, defeats the Elite Four, takes Cynthia's spot in reserve while she travels the land, and you face him first. When you come back to take on the Elite Four once more, Cynthia comes back with a revamp in level and such. I like that case...

To add on, it has been confirmed that Giratina will not have the Levitate ability. However, it's ability will change. Serebii states that its ability will be ???

Mostly likely the platform hasn't appeared or Giratina is in it's domain so thats quite possibly why theres no platform. But my guess with the ??? it's a random odd for the platform to appear underneath it so you can battle/catch it, but that's my theory from what I know of Giratina

Awesome, that Giratina actually looks like it will be flying. About that platform, it looks like the battle isn't started yet.

I do have a question though, does anyone know if there is going to be new music in this game because personally I hate D/P music.

Also, Shaymin looks like it will have a major part in this, hopefully we won't have to use an event to get it

Actually, the part at the bottom appears to be a seperate article. if you looks to the right hand side, you can see a poster with the Diamond and pearl logo's on. I think that's just some information on the upcoming Shaymin event for the release of the next movie.

Thank you! Although I was trying to go for a more icy blue colour for the skirt, boots and hat...oh well.

I still find contests kinda hard, but hey, it's more fun to lose to real people than NPCs haha
