Yes, the PokéWalker comes in a bundle with the game. It is like another Tomogachi device but this time, we can transfer one of out Pokémon from HeartGold and SoulSilver over to it. It is portable and doesn't need your DS or DSi to come along with you. It raises the happiness level of your Pokémon along with level as well. It also encounters a few mini games and items as well. It is like a basic pedometer, but with Pokémon involved.

This is basically why the box is so big, because it is bundled in together. However, it is currently unknown if it'll be distributed outside of Japan. So, we don't know if other countries will get a nice sleek and shiny box like this, but the box art may be the same on DS game casings for the remake however.

By the way, I like the touch of the Johto scene maps behind Ho-Oh and Lugia, but I'm only hoping it doesn't back up ideas that they two legendaries will be exclusive this tine, unlike the originals. If not, then great, but hopefully it was just added in as a basic new touch rather than to present the idea of the Pokémon being held game exclusive.

Well Lugia is found in the whirl island and ho-oh is in the tin tower so the respective areas would be higlighted no? And I do doubt that they will make them version exclusives.

I think your right! I can see some of the Whirl Islands (I think their called that) in the background by Lugia.

Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver Box art

A new CoroCoro magazine scan has revealed the box art for HeartGold and SoulSilver. HeartGold obviously features Ho-Oh, who is posed in front of the Tin Tower, while SoulSilver features Lugia, the Whirl Islands seen vaguely in the background behind it. Both boxes are quite larger than a typical Pokemon game because of the inclusion of the PokeWalker. Click the thumbnail below for a much larger scan. The specific release date for the games is still unknown at this point.

So it seems many speculations about the games can be drawn from the box arts above, it seems the games work on both DS and DSi as a start, so please give your opinion and speculations! I can't read Japanese so maybe there's something in the text as well.

The box does look cool- but at the end of the day, its a box. Im more concerned about the PokeWalker. I hope it'll be released in the UK, because I'm in Sixth Form next year doing A-Levels, and wont really have much time to play- but ill be doing plently of walking! (Level 100 after a 5 mile walk!!- lol)

There are no wires with this one as it is connected through an infrared light. There is a front picture of the box, but it still includes the PokéWalker with it, so currently not as yet. Though, I would expect a full image of the box art to be shown without the PokéWalker included sometime.

Its been confirmed to use Infrared.

These boxart are really awesome. ^^ I love how the added the Tin Tower & Whirl Island into the boxes. For whoever said it before, Ho-oh doesn't look a little bloated! I hope the Pokéwalk doesn't boost the price that much. I defiantly want one.
