What. Skyarrow sounds terrible. Sky Arrow sounds much beeettter. ;__;

Just looks like they're combining words for no reason when they look perfectly fine not combined. o_O

I think it's meant to sound the same despite the lost of the space :\...actually what's the max number of characters a location can have? if it's 8 then we know why they are combining them...

"Pinwheel" alone has 8 characters. Add Forest onto that, and then add bridge onto "skyarrow" ...yeah. This English name still makes no sense.

It's not as bad as some names out there though...

Right, and to be honest it is just a space difference. XD I'm alright with it seeing as SkyArrow could have been changed to a whole different name instead of keeping it Sky Arrow, like in the Japanese versions. Who knows what GameFreak might have came up with instead. @w@

Yeah plus Skyarrow is a nice name and I'm glad they only took out the space instead of naming it just (insert odd name here) bridge...

So, let's see... Castelia, SkyArrow Bridge. I dunno... Castelia, Sky Arrow Bridge. :(

The positive is that sky arrow actually does match the theme of clouds anyway, so it seems to suit Castelia perfectly. :3

Hey Nica decided to post in your board.

Anyway I just want to say...I am disappointed in just one name. Just one. The rest are fine, I can live with the rest.

Sewaddle. That is the single most retarded name for a Pokemon I have ever seen. In fact, if you never heard of Sewaddle before you would've thought it was a duck Pokemon, not some insect. Plus, they're plenty of more creative names than Sewaddle. It's just...ergh.

Hi. :D

Yeah even though KG explained the meaning of Sewaddle, I don't really like it. It just seems like a shorter name would be suited such a small Pokemon. I know it's true in other cases, too (such as Oshawott, but it suits it), however this Pokemon needed a short name. I'm not quite sure of what that could be, since Caterpie already stole the good bug name. :(

Throh just sounds uncreative. I don't have as many issues with Sawk, but Throh looks like it's a tongue twister, even though it's like pretty easy to say I think. Sawk actually works without me thinking of the word "sock". XD;

I think the names are perfectly fine, in fact I much prefer them to the last gens names. All the names make sense when you take the time to look into them.

In fact, these comments really underestimate the people who make the pokemon games. They're not a bunch of teen kids chewing on pencils trying to figure out names. These are qualified intelligent people who do research and work out what the right names would be for these pokemon. You not liking a name DOES NOT mean they ran out of ideas. It just means you don't like it.

I think this is more a case of that with every new generation that comes along people will start saying they're running out of ideas regardless of whether they are or not. This is just becoming a thing that happens rather than anything legitimate. :/

It's an inevitability that we'll all grow accustomed to this gen over time and also an inevitability that future gens will have the same questions/remarks made over and over again. It's an endless cycle that's going nowhere.

It just seems like all of the names have lost their creativity in this generation. I like the Pokemon of gen.v but I have to say I'll probably be giving most of my Pokemon their Japanese names because I think some of the English ones just plain suck.

A few of them I disapprove are: Pignite, Sawk, Crustle and Klinklang,
Some I like are: Genesect, Excadrill, Scraggy & Scrafty, and Eelektross

Finally, all the English names of Unova places are leaked!

All in Spoiler mode.

But first, to not be confused, the battle mode known as Miracle Shooter is now Wonder Launcher.

Spoiler:

The names are okay so far but I disagree with one name: Celestial Tower. I just played Dragon Quest and yeah, not too fond of that name. I think they should have left it as Tower of Heaven because Celestial Tower seems so out-of-place. When I think of Tower of heaven, I think of a tower reaching the heaven, but Celestial Tower seems... meh.

In other words, they should have left it Tower of Heaven. :(
