    Like in Gold & Silver At the start of the game, your mother will offer to save money for you. You can decline but if you accept, you will be able to have a backlog of money. If you decline, you can activate this at any time by speaking to her in New Bark Town or by calling her on your PokéGear. Whenever you earn some money, 25% of it gets sent to your mother. Occasionally, your mother will dip into your own savings and purchase you an item.

    Did you utilize the savings feature? Did you appreciate when you mom dipped into your savings? What about the items she sent you, did you like or use any of them?
     
    I don't think there's much point to letting her save money in G/S/C, but you get some pretty nice items in HG/SS.

    ...And by that, I mean the type reducing berries, which are kinda situational, but eh. You usually get way too much money in Pokemon games anyway, so letting your mother hold onto it doesn't really have much of a downside.
     
    I totally let her save my money. It was always great to go back and see what else she had in store for me. Great way to get some hard to find items like Ether and what not.
     
    Me too! I like for her to save my money. Its like buying a membership to a food or book club that sends you a random treat every month.

    Sometimes it gets a little repetitive, but it is worth it because she can also pick out something glorious that you would not obtain otherwise in the game or only in rare circumstances that are more time-consuming costly enterprises like the battle frontier. A great example would be the Choice items she sent me just in time to battle the elite four!

    I think everyone should give this feature when they can afford to. At the end of the day she doesn't spend still that much money, she will have saved lots for you to withdrawal. And who knows what present she might have in store for you?
     
    I've always had her save my money. I was always pretty surprised at the sheer amount she had when I decided to go back and talked to her. I also liked the useful items that she had delivered to me while exploring Johto.
     
    I got the mother to save my money from winning battles, and it was definitely nice seeing it return in this game, but now with better items even if it's mostly berries.
     
    I always just let her save my money but I hardly ever retrieved it from her. I found that I was never really in a situation where I needed to return to pick up that extra money tbh.
     
    I like that she bought me things, even if they weren't especially useful haha. And I liked having the extra money- I always end up broke in Pokémon somehow? So that really helped. omg if this had been a feature in Emerald then my idiot brother wouldn't have gotten his starter stuck in the daycare without enough money to get it back lmfao
     
    I never asked her to give me my saved money, maybe that was because I never felt lack of money. It was also great to receive items which she would send.
