These playground threads move too fast for me. x_x

The biggest of us all.

Welp. I guess that's that.

I like a load of sports but only really care about one team. Well, 2 if you include England. Both teams I like suck.

I care about 8 teams very strongly, and none of them are Team USA. Only two of them have been winners in the last 20 years, and people don't care about the leagues they're in: college/university hockey and the WNBA. The rest are a mixed bag of pure disappointment and getting your hopes up only to choke and let you down at crucial moments.

My team formed in 1902 and have never won the league. In 65 and 85 they won the league cup. Best league finish was in the inaugural PL season, 3rd place...then as you can see the club had some problems.
Spoiler:

We have of course just been relegated but looking at that I should be hopeful, we usually bounce right back.

That bike's gonna need some work. That fairing looks like you could get away with just a wash and a polish to shine it up, though.

@ Vogue: I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. One or two of my teams would have been relegated multiple seasons in a row if US sports employed a relegation/promotion system, that's how bad they've been at times.

My NFL team is merely the winningest team to not win a Super Bowl (lost 4 of them in the 1970s). The worst 5 year stretch in that team's history was 2010 to 2014, though (6-10, 3-13, 10-6, 5-10-1, 7-9; still good for the second best 5 worst seasons among all NFL teams). My NHL team is decent, but rumors are circulating that the 31 year old star defenseman entering the 5th year of his 13 year, $98 million contract (this is a bad contract for an NHL team because he's under contract until he's fucking 39!) can make complaints about the coaches or anything he doesn't like to his buddy, the owner, and then that thing or that somebody will be changed to his liking. Just rumors, though. My MLB team is currently playing like they want to have the worst season in MLB history. They do have a pair of relatively recent World Series titles, but the last one of those was won when I was barely a year old. My NBA team has only won 39% of the games it has played. Ever. In a league where ties are not considered a valid outcome of a game. It hasn't even made the NBA playoffs since 2004, in a league where 16 of 30 teams make the playoffs.

I've been going to Carrow Road since 2002 and have seen us change division 8 times. Lots of frustration but I suppose in terms of the ride it's been quite fun.

We're one of the few clubs in the top couple of leagues that have no money coming in from the owner or other external sources, hence why we struggle in the Premier League. This is actually demonstrated quite nicely this season, the other two relegated sides have 50m+ budgets for this coming season and I highly doubt that we'll be allowed to make a net loss. Getting relegated costs us half of our income.
