Chit-Chat: On Tuesdays Oryx and Triforce think it's Wednesday

Sounds far more like mental illness to me. She says she talked to him, he could read her thoughts, etc. My mom asked me last night, in my professional internet-goer opinion, if the parents would have been able to stop it if they knew what Slenderman was through monitoring their kids. I said no, because nothing about Slenderman is inherently hurtful to kids. But, if they had monitored their conversations, this was probably planned over text or social media because kids, so then they might have seen it.

Actually speaking of changing things, you still haven't fixed up the error in the Chit Chat Café's description.

"Questions? Contact the Cafe's barista: Catholic Nun!"

Kan you tell what it is?

It's because when I first joined I saw all the new titles be coined and I always wanted to do it too. Now I can so it's always something new.

Yes! I just realized I managed to get the gym pass from my mother. Workout here I come! :D

I honestly think violent video games are nothing but a vector for violent people. There's no change going on, really.

It's called having a grip on yourself. My GF and I have "rapey" fantasies, yet we do jiu jitsu which involves us mounting and choking each other all the time. When we're in the dojo, it's all business. A person can lose their way whether they're in a universe with video games or not.

Well, I'm just talking about it. And jiu jitsu (or any martial art involving grappling and ground fighting) involves lots of mounting and choking. Our classes are gender-mixed, so most of us guys end up practising chokes and throws on girls (and vice versa). The point is that it's all business and you don't become a crazy person just by being exposed to violent actions (or in the case of martial arts, actually acting them out).

Why do people keep confessing things to PC that no should know or want to see

Who says that absolutely no one wants to know/see that?

Yes, I'm indeed excluding myself from that... hee hee

Anyone getting their jollies from hearing about NSFW fantasies should take it to PM, geez.

Except don't tell them to a 15 year old because that's probably illegal no matter how it unfolds.

Exclude much?

And 15-year-olds don't have fantasies, right?

John, I think you're onto something.

And now we're at the part of the night where Alex gets mad and picks a fight because I suggested 15 year olds shouldn't talk about sex with 20 year olds in most respects.

Sorry bud, not gonna budge. At least the younger one isn't the one I'd judge.

I'm not mad, hehe. And you're the one who decided to pick at Khilia. Yeh?

Have you ever thought for a second that maybe those younger than almighty Toujours could have wisdom beyond your own? Naww. Couldn't be. They couldn't possibly ever have wisdom to bestow on a 21-year-old woman. Do you know how many people entire generations older than you that would say the same? Could you have a change of mind and look at what people are saying and their arguments as opposed to a premeditated judgment of yours that you made of them within hours of knowing them?

Calm yourself, sir. As far as if younger people can teach me something, I concur. But the things they can teach aren't what most kids usually preach. :) There are plenty of ways that youth is an asset, but not in life advice - at least not yet. Kids are more creative and less bound by rules, which makes their words invaluable if you don't have the tools to get something done a conventional way. Of course, the downside is that life isn't child's play.

There are many things I can learn from those older than me; I already have a coffee date with someone at AT&T set for as soon as I start my career so I can get advice from someone with more years.

*infuses himself with the atmosphere of this chat*

*gasps*

And so the forum argument begins with the ever-so-orthodox "Calm yourself, sir". Yes the font was necessary.

I think you're well aware that's not what I'm getting at. Less kids vs. adults and more learning from people regardless of age. ;)
