When People Talk Like This I Read It All Choppy With Pauses Inbetween Each Word And In A Monotone. Also, Lines In All Caps In The Mmorpg Runescape Would Come Out Like This Because Jagex Is Retarded.

I read it that way as well. Somewhere else I visited had that same tell; you would always know the person was all-capsing if it showed. I can't remember where it was though, maybe the forum of an old MMO?

No regrets. Buck up, cadets.

See, I look back on when I was 16 and dated a man who...wasn't, if you know what I mean. When I dated him I didn't see a flaw; I thought ethically it was fine, disregarding the law. Now that I'm older I can see what the law was trying to tell me. While some unicorn of a kid may be mature enough that you shouldn't forbid, I would seriously question anyone 21 who thought dating a teen is safe and fun. It's natural for people that age to argue that they're just like adults, one of the few; but it's not natural for people this old to talk about sex with kids, all told.

I empathize with the sentiment that everyone should feel free to talk, but that's what I mean when I balk.
Well, 16 is the most common age of consent in the United States. I'd say you're ready at that age and it really doesn't matter to me how old the older partner is (unless he's like...40 or something, which is just disgusting).

what if he has a babyface doe and the body of a sailor

i don't know why that woman in the battle maison keeps saying that

When you start seeing wrinkles, it borders on necrophilia.

but what if you think he's actually your age and don't find out for like a year? what THEN, Obama?

It's not about legality, but if you want that route, on the internet it's always 18 without a doubt. :) It's about power dynamics and common sense, and looking at teenagers now in the present tense. If I was dating a sophomore in high school, there'd be so little way to connect, as a rule. So I doubt the maturity of the people who choose that path, since I put myself in their shoes.

Speaking of Slenderman, anyone here up to date with Marble Hornets?

There are people who fit your "16-year-old sophomore" group that would be more than apt to handle adult levels of connection and bonding, possibly more so than some people in their twenties. You can't look at the whole of a group and make a conclusion or judgment on them based on what only a majority of them exhibit. It's unfair to those who don't, since you're passing off the minority of them with a label that doesn't accurately represent them. :V

Like I said before, there are a few rare cases I'm sure, but none that I've seen in my life have been that mature. And everyone at that age will say they are...you can't really tell except from afar.

I don't envy any teenagers forced into positions of adult responsibility. They should be enjoying their final days of childhood...

Childhood was over the moment they hit puberty. I think it's insulting to think of teenagers as children.
