PC Boxes

When we visit Pokémon Centers, we get access to a computer, which allows us to get into the storage system. This system contains various things, with one of them being ability to deposit and withdraw Pokémon. When depositing, we get various thrown to us, which we could customize and sort almost any way we please or imagine.

So, let's get to our questions--do we have tendency to personalize these boxes, or do we wind up leaving them the way they are? If it's latter, why so? If former, how do we customize our PC boxes? Is there any particular way that we order them? Also, if we were to make any changes to these things that we currently cannot, what would it be?

As for myself, I usually name the boxes by types; one would be fire, one would be water, another would be electric, and so forth. Sometimes, I'd also have a "favorites" category, where I would store all Pokémon that I find myself using often. When it comes to sorting, they're all randomized.

On my OmegaRuby game I've been using this layout:
    Boxes 1-3: EV-trained Pokemon
Boxes 4-6: Legendaries and Unown collection
Boxes 7-8: the story-mode teams from every previous main game I've played
Boxes 9 and beyond: Pokedex filler arranged in a mostly chaotic fashion
Boxes 30-31: Eggs, different Natured Dittos and Pokemon with Flame Body

As for customization, I usually use the Simple wallpaper, because it's minimallistic and easier on the eyes.

With White 2 and X, I put some of my more notable Pokémon in boxes that I decorate with wallpaper of the legendaries they present me with, or other special designs they have (like the starters wallpaper in XY). For example, my 16th box in the former has the picture of White Kyurem and it consists entirely of (pseudo-)legendaries and members of my Elite Four team.

I usually go with the former. I dont customize the boxes. I dont have a need to, nor a use.

Maybe once I get to the latest games I might, but as for now, Im fine with just leaving it the way they are. I think I changed the background once or twice, I dont even remember.

Most of my Pokemon will be transferred anyway.

I don't really stick to a certain layout, but I do like making sure every box has a different background so I can easily spot certain Pokemon and it helps lessen confusion. I don't name my boxes either, because I'm lazy hahahaha.

In Black 2, which is the only game where I ever used more than 6 boxes, the Pokemon that would be in a box are randomly determined, although I recently put all of my level 100's in Box 8.

In HG and I believe Black I put everything in a box according to type since I was slightly interested and completing at least some of the pokedex and it was very organized. Now I just leave the boxes as they are since I don't go around catching every Pokemon. Box 1 will be Pokemon I have used in game and may return to, I'll have a box for pokemon I want to trade or giveaway in wonder trade so I don't forget, a box for "special" Pokemon (legends/saving later for breeding/special ones I've received in trades, etc), and then I have a box just for my shinies.
I do change backgrounds for my special and shiny Pokemon. Other than that, it stays as is.

I can't precisely say if we're already able to do this, somehow, but what I believe would be rather cool is if there had been a way to transfer full boxes from game-to-game, like how we do with Pokémon.

We would be transferring PC boxes with all their information on them, including name, wallpaper, Pokémon they include, how stored Pokémon are sorted, and so forth. In long run, this would make things a lot more easy, I imagine; it'd be saving us a good portion of time from transferring Pokémon singly, one-by-one.

Although I don't do much transferring myself, I believe this would be actively utilized by those who do.

The first 2 boxes are for my battle ready teams. The last 3 boxes are for my legendary pokemon. Every other box is just pokemon I catch or get in a trade.

Once i am finished with the league i tend to reorganise the boxes, especially in hg/ss i did it to quickly find good pkmn for pokeathlon(i sorted them after best stat, and then after other stats.)

often I either sort them after team and legends, 1-2 boxes and the rest by either type or by pokedex number.
    the boxes get corresponding names.

atm I have 1 box for team and contest pkmn, and the rest 3 boxes are all traded pokemon. I sofar wondertraded all other pokemon. means i have a couple of doubles and none other than the first box and party have pkmn with my OT#

I have a tendency to organize Pokemon in different PC Boxes. If I'm doing a Monotype, however, I just throw them in there because organizing them doesn't really help me. Normally, I give one box for each type, sometimes two depending on how many of that type I have. I also change the wallpaper for each box to match the types. Also, I'd have one box for HM Slaves, just so I can easily find them and withdraw them when necessary. When I used to trade, I used to organize my boxes in a weird way which I don't quite remember, but that was just for convenience so I know where I could find a Pokemon that I had wanted to trade.

In Pokémon Black, I'd number them like 1-30, 31- 61, 62-92... and so on to organize all my Pokémon so I could "catch 'em all." Sadly I lost motivation to do it although maybe one day I'll go back and finally complete the Pokedex for Black.

I never personalize my boxes. I always forget to. The only thing I make sure to do box wise is to set one aside for Legendaries. I put them all in that specific box :3
