My #1 fear of traveling across the country is getting ill after returning home. It's never happened to me on my trips to Virginia, or even my trip in 2009 to New York City, but I know many people with numerous cases where they visit major cities or even foreign lands and get sick from visiting them.
I'm a true blue Aussie and I rarely even see these threatening creatures but that's because I'm a city person and not a country person.
In fact, my fear of flying means I never want to travel abroad. If you want to learn Australia's culture and scenery from one of their own, I'm your girl! And have a nice time in Vegas, Carchar!
I would probably love seeing a city if it was new to me and nothing more. I've lived in a rural area outside of Tampa (my hometown), and I'd say living in a rural area is probably better because you don't get caught up in all that city trouble.
I love seeing downtown areas of major cities that are exotic (or foreign) to me, but I hate looking at my own city's downtown area.
I'd rather be worried on driving on the interstate and getting in a car wreck rather than through a downtown area, unless it's flooded with impatient drivers or lots of pedestrians..
As for a break from the internet, I don't think I've had one of those...since 2009 when I went up to NYC without my laptop O_o I have no life at all >_>
Oh my God, I hear they offer liquor for free on the casino floors so long as you use at least a penny machine. And they're served by busty girls in playboy bunny costumes.
