PC Supporter music video

I'm not good at singing, but I could lend my ~incredible~ acting skills to the video side of it.
 
Sounds fun! I can sing and play guitar, and I dig just about everything except opera.




I also produce full-fledged songs at home, so if we were to take the same approach as the /a/ video, I could make the audio sound boss. I could send the finished song to you, O'aka, at which point you could put it to the video collage. Food for thought.


There will probably have to be an exchanging of emails or something, not sure how else we can get all the video/audio to one place.




As far as songs, I can't think of any. I like a lot of mellow and dark stuff, which may not fit. Although, I did write a parody of Lorde's 'Royals' called 'Foiled' which is about Team Rocket...

Ahaha, I don't know if I'd really be able to record myself, as I have no real equipment. Unless I figured out something with my computer, depending on whether or not the camera decides to work.

I'm not a great singer, but I can try. Got some major bass action over here! Lol
I can't play any instruments, though. >.>;

And I'm fine with most of the genres you suggested.

1. Disney ~oh yes, especially if it was some sort of mash-up and I could do some Hellfire because Arceus damn, it's Frollo and Hellfire and I just want it
2. Rap/Hip-Hop ABSOLUTELY NOT (okay there's a few decent songs but in general no)
3. Pop
4. R&B/Soul
5. Rock & Metal
6. Country
7. Alternative
8. Blues/Jazz
9. Dubstep
10. Video Game
 
My favorite genre is definitely opera

I'm in for any genre!
I would say, though, that we should choose a song that most people know.
 
I can mix, edit, do the video and so on.. As for singing.. nope, not me. sorry. I'm much better with the back end stuffs.

So this is what we've got so far. So these are the next choices. A lot of songs will overlap into different genres so think about that. 1 vote per person. Obviously whichever has the most will be what we'll choose from.

Shoutout to Tek for being awesome and volunteering to do the audio mashing. We have the option of just doing something simple like just having pictures of us all with posterboard or something that has what our posts look like on the forum, or we could just put a picture on there of our logo or something even simpler like that. Or we could go complex and have some like simple dance moves and make a mash up of all of us doing a dance or something to a song. It depends on the genre and song we choose. And if we choose something that can be danced to and someone wants to make up some choreography, that would just be awesome sauce.
 
i can sing, play the piano, and mix the vocals / backing track using cockos reaper. i have a lot of plugins that are great for vocals, autotune, reverbs, EQs etc.

i think its best to do pop or disney since these are the genres that most of the PCs demographic would resonate with. a song that comes to mind to remake is frozen's let it go.

I'm fine with plenty of songs. Pop and Disney? Fine with me. I've been listening to plenty of Disney songs from various movies these last few days. Especially my villain song playlist, mwuahaha. >:3

But one that fits PC? I'm not sure I can think of one that's both an ensemble song that fits PC and makes sense out of context with the story. I mean, there're plenty, but not off the top of my head. If we don't care about it being an ensemble song/song that really makes sense, though, then . . . well, there's plenty.

Jason Mraz mainly brings to mind "I'm Yours" and "Details in the Fabric"

I'm currently listening to "Be Prepared" from The Lion King, actually, and . . . heheheh, that'd be fun.

I know I'm not that helpful.
 
My pessimistic opinion: The fact that there would be so many people involved in this and that most of those people have different opinions then the person to their right, this seem like it would be next to impossible to make one, let alone make one that's halfway legitimate.

My optimisticish statement: if we can actually come to an equal standpoint (which is something people can hardly ever do) I can help in every way except making music. Been there, tried that. I can edit and stuff. Though there's most likely people here who could do a better job than me.

As in PokeCommunity has come so far but it still has so far to go and it's a pretty fun song to sing ^_^ Haha

Has this been abandoned? I can play a little bit of acoustic guitar and bass and I can sing too. I think this is a fantastic idea if we can agree on something.
 
I hope this never dies, I hope we can at least get one music video made before everyone just goes and disregards it as something that isn't fun or won't ever happen. And then my hopes are that people actually end up enjoying it so we can do a couple more music videos.

Big picture vision - each section of PC gets together to make a music video for that board that will have something to do with it. The supporter video will be the only one that wouldn't really have to be about being a supporter since it's just a trial at this point, but we could choose a song that would portray our feelings of being a supporter if we decided on that route.
 
I think we just need to decide whether or not we're serious about doing it and then pick a song to do. It doesn't need to relate to anything, it just needs to be one we all agree on and we can work with.
 
Hello everyone, it's been a while but we're back and we're going to try and follow through with it this time. Below is a list of 30 or so songs that you can vote from. If you're still interested after taking a look go ahead and vote for 2 or 3 and at the end of the month we'll tally the votes up and see if we can't get this thing rollin. New people are more than welcome to join if you haven't already signed up. Also, you don't necessarily have to sing. If you can play an instrument and you want to play the acompaniment or play and sing together you can also do that or if you don't want to do any of that but still be a part of the project you could be part of the editing or uploading step.

Okay so after having listened to several of these, I have three choices:

Poker Face
-pros: simple and fun
-cons: instrumentation is fully electronic. But I've got a lot of experience combining dance music with traditional instruments, so actually this might work really well. Definitely my first choice

Beat It
-pros: fun
-cons: might be tough to sing an MJ song. I think we could make it work though

Eye of the Tiger
-pros: upbeat, and it's long so we can feature everybody more easily
-cons: might be tough to pull of vocally and instrumentally
