Yeahhh Urgot's a huge beast in these 1v1 matches, people just don't realise how high his damage can actually get early game compared to how much he can negate with his shield and his passive. I've been playing Urgot a lot in ranked as top lane and I've won lane every single time due to people simply underestimating him and thinking they can out-duel him as soon as they enter the lane, when in reality they just haven't stood a chance when such a huge amount of their damage is being negated early game. It sounded like two fun games though, congrats to Logiegan!
 
Finished my matches with Aslan. 2-0

Twisted Fate (Olli) vs Morgana (Aslan)
Olaf (Olli) vs LeBlanc (Aslan)​

To be fair, I only really won due to having the advantage when it came to pushing. In the first match she was dominating me, but as soon as I got a kill on her late game, his pushing powers along with the e and lich bane passive allowed me to take down the towers and the inhibitor down really fast, and then I was able to just slowly poke her down while she worried about minions, while picking up the health packets everytime they respawned 'cause she wouldn't have a chance to reach them.

Second game it was just a really unfortunate match-up. Since Olaf's E is true damage, she didn't have many options on building against me, since health is the only thing that counters that, while I just needed to build MR to win :/

But yeah! Fun matches. Sophie is super good, and I just got super lucky with my match-ups :p
 
To be fair, an ARAM-based tournament is just as much based on your luck as your skill to play haha. I'm sure not all the tournaments will be based on random champions so it's pretty fun to have this element for now - it certainly does suck to be on the bad side of the stick though! Congrats for the wins Olli, hopefully I'll see you in the final ;)

tbh I would of continued building armour if you didn't say something so best player NA, no? I remember something about Olaf and true damage but ya, that was definitely a 'what' moment for me while playing LoL. Personally for me I think it's about testing your abilities in being able to use advantages and overcome disadvantages. You got a kill on the enemy? Great, you can't heal or anything but you gotta make something out of it. If you just stand there doing nothing you're practically just letting them come back fully healed and with new items.Did you get killed? oh shet son better murder dat low health olaf who keeps getting his health back, h8 u lifesteal and giving them the disadvantage. But no really the main aim of this tournament is trying to drive your opponent up the wall by spamming all your taunts, jokes and laughs the entire game. i forgot to do that though so now I'll forever regret :(

anyway gg olli! We should 1 v 1 some other time it was a fun few matches. you're good too you know. XD
 
Just wanted to know if everyone has finished their matches? The end date comes up in 5 days and wanted everyone to make sure you have done them. Also in the second round of matches I would like to spectate some of the matches they were exciting to play and I kinda want to watch the next round. Good luck to all in the next round. ^.^

The only match that has not been recorded here was the match: Sanguinius VS Ravio

He says his computer is currently being repaired, so we're waiting on that before doing the matches.
 
This sounds interesting, but i'm using mobile internet which prevents me from playing LoL so i probably won't be able to sign up when the first tournament is over.

Sorry for the hold up peeps, as Sanguinis said I didn't have a computer that got more than like 10 fps when playing LoL haha.

On a side not, Shen is the worst champion possible for 1 v 1s, but said matches were fun! :D
 
I'll pop in real quick to affirm Ravio's report, the match went 2-0 in my favor.

And yeah, I feel bad about that Shen matchup D: Really made it hard for you to do well when you can't use your ult -_-

So far as i have seen it everyone has either won both matches or lost the matches. I want to see more even matches this next round XD. Good luck everyone in the next round.

It's still the whole 2 week deadline and yeah, Random ARAM - it's going to be random ARAM for this tournament only, in which future tournaments will have different specifics!
 
Just finished my battles with Arc, won 2-0 and both were fun fights!

Kennen (Major Ziggs) vs. Brand (Arc)
Varus (Major Ziggs) vs. Jayce (Arc)​

Confirming!

Ah, that first match was just bad, haha. Brand was a character I didn't expect, and I knew Kennen actually does well against Brand.

I should have been more aggressive and went Hammer more with Jayce. Still fun matches though! :)

Edit: Also, I believe I should mention this. For the future matches both players should rotate which side they will be on after every match, if you guys aren't already doing it. I played Purple both matches. It wasn't a bother for me when I was playing Brand. But when I was playing Jayce, it was harder for me to gauge on where Varus actually was since the HUD was obstructing my view. Free Camera can also be finicky sometimes as well.
