I just had a thought as I was looking through this and the previous contests.

well the way it is now, everyone can see who in the list of participants has the emblem. This might make the voters bias against them and make them want to vote for someone who doesn't have the emblem. By removing the little plus signs next to whoever has the emblem, is puts a slight blind on that unless someone looks at a user's profile and sees that they have the emblem.

Now for the idea, if someone wins, and they have already been awarded the emblem then the judges for the contest, in this case You and WolFlare, would look back upon the winners Vote and then award the Emblem to their #1 choice. So in a way to vote for someone who has already won the emblem will not discount everyone from getting the emblem. It's a win win situation which removes bias from the voting because even if someone votes for someone who has the emblem, there is still a chance for someone to get the emblem.

In the case that the Winner's first vote already has won the emblem, the next vote in their list. If the second vote also has the emblem, then the emblem will again go to the next vote that doesn't have the emblem. If in the extreme case that all of the winners' choices already have the emblem then the deciding vote for who gets the emblem passes on to the winner of second place. (or if the Chairperson and the vote counter decide, the emblem will go to the second place winner or their first vote)

So what do you think of this addendum to the rules?

I gotta a big surprise for the 12th month's contest, i just gotta make sure with Went and them thats ok, but its gonna be a real blast. :)

Anyways, it seems as if we got some real compertition this year, but might I suggest, f l a s h, that you hold an amount of votes aloud. Say that there has to be at least 10 votes before resukts are given? Because in the last won, only 5 people gave there choices. :\

^ I second this. It's a very good idea in every sense of it. I agree that there would be a bias toward voting for people without emblems with the current setup, and that in addition to fixing that, something should be done so that if the same people keep winning, it doesn't nullify everyone's chance at getting an emblem, and makes it so one is actually awarded regardless who wins.

I'm still thinking about this since we discussed it, but I'm glad you posted it here so others can read it and disuss the matter to see what they think.

Only five huh? Well then, I'll definitely try to bring in more votes this time so things seem more fair for everyone. This is one of the reasons why I lengthened the sign-up and voting period for everyone compared to previous contests. Hopefully it'll work out well and we'll get it more votes, and possible ten. I'll definitely try to hold out on the results until more votes are given though, but to keep on schedule I'll see if I can remind everyone when voting begins so they'll remember.

Er, you can vote seeing as the rule allows members who did not join to vote. Except, you may only vote for one regular member and one supporter. Not to mention, your vote must go to WolFLARE via PM.

Sorry .Swift, didn't mean it sound that way at all. However, I'm sure it was a simple mistake about making the theme switch as you told me you had thought it was over already.
