Albums that you can listen to from beginning to end and not skip a single track are what I consider to be perfect albums. I think this is a great way to really gauge your taste in music.

    What are your perfect albums?

These are mine. I have 35. I'm an album person. I highly recommend all of them to everyone and if you don't like at least 16 of them then we can't be friends.

Pretty much agree with every album on that list (especially gorillaz omg)! And I'll listen to the ones I've not yet. Some perfect albums for me... probably Lily Allen, Cheers Elephant and Fun. There's probably more, just can't remember them right now :)

The perfect album? There's only one: Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. No single flaw to be found in its 5 tracks.

Even my favourite album ever has flaws. Yet there's beauty in flaws as well.

Sorry to say but I don't have a perfect album.
Something Like Perfectness doen's exist if you ask me.

I don't believe in a perfect album necessarily and if I listen to an album I don't skip a track even if I'm indifferent to it, but I suppose if I had to pick some albums were I enjoy every track while listening through then these are my picks...

    Nas - Illmatic
    Coldplay - Viva La Vida
Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Panic! At The Disco - Pretty. Odd.
Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights

All five of them are probably in my top ten favourite albums so I guess all the tracks being good is fairly important to me.

There's no such thing as the perfect album. Some of my favourite albums are Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd; Deadwing, Fear of a Blank Planet, and In Absentia by Porcupine Tree, Grace for Drowning by Steven Wilson, and The Bends, OK Computer and Kid A by Radiohead.
None of them is perfect but Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here are the closest to perfection. Just because every track is good doesn't make the album perfect. There must be hundreds of such albums where I like all the songs.

the one problem I have with Wish You Were Here is "Have a Cigar." I'm bored by that song, tbh. other than that, yeah, it's perfect.

I don't have any albums that are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. there's some that come close.

omfg thank you for taking the thread title so literally i really appreciate it!!! :)

sorry, from your collection, I don't like any of them, not my style of music, for me the perfect albums are -
    Slayer - "Reign in Blood"
    Metallica - "Master of Puppets"
Megadeth - "Peace Sells but Who's Buying"

I can't skip any song on the albums

I have one qualm with your description of "perfect", aerial ace. usually I listen to the full album without skipping anything regardless of whether or not I hate a track or two. dunno if that's just because I'm pedantic or something.

At this point I haven't found an album that I enjoy every single track. A couple come pretty close though:

Liverpool supporter, fine taste in music... I didn't think there was such a thing as a perfect human being but I'm getting the feeling I could be wrong...

Here is a comprehensive list of albums I feel are flawless when I've been listening to them critically:

I am one stern critic, innit.

Only the most useful website for rating albums ever. I love that I can actually build a pretty comprehensive image of my taste there; last.fm never really did it for me.

Albums that come near perfecion in my opinion are.

    Suffocation - Human waste
    Pyaemia- cerebral cereal
    Severe torture -
    Misanthropic Carnage
    Scatorgy - Scatorgy
    Total rusak -Exploding the cranial.
    brodequin - instruments of torture
They are all Brutal Death metal albums on the nearly perfect way!

I feel like a broken record mentioning this album and the Strokes like every other music post I do but yeah, that is the perfect album for me. 11 songs of pure magic. Some are a little better than each other, but none of them feel like filler.

Some other albums which I can listen end to end without getting disinterested are Fever to Tell by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not by Arctic Monkeys, Songs for the Deaf by QotSA, The Defamation of Strickland Banks by Plan B and The Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem.

In all honesty, I am not an album person. However! The band Alice in Chains (yes, with Layne Staley, not the William DuVall garbage) struck a nerve in me that brought me to adore a lot of their songs, as crazy as they are. I will say that this album isn't 100% hits to me either… although it's come closer than any (including other AiC albums) to being as such. It did, however, have more than a few songs that I cling to, namely Rooster, the song that Alice in Chains is world-known from—Down In A Hole, which is by far my #1 favorite out of all AiC, and has an amazingly somber but deep melody to it with amazing vocals and stunning lyrics that are so depressing but so healing—Dirt, a song akin to Man In The Box where Layne eerily sings about longing for death—Angry Chair, a song that describes the effects of being on heroin—Would, an interesting one that I can't quite describe, possibly about his drug addiction—and finally Rain When I Die, a song with a lengthy guitar into and relatively original chorus vocals. Fun Fact: It rained for about two hours in Seattle on the day Layne Staley is presumed to have died.

By many folks it, along with Jar of Flies and Unplugged, is considered to be by far Alice in Chains' best work, and I agree. There are three from Jar of Flies that I really like as well, which are Nutshell, I Stay Away, and No Excuses.

speaking of AiC, if they had made Jar of Flies only the first four tracks it would have been damn near perfect. the last three tracks on it just aren't good.

I have to revisit Dirt, I don't remember it very well. I went through a huge grunge phase two years ago in which I probably listened to it a bunch but I can't quite recall.

There's only two for me: Release the Panic, and Until we Have Faces both by Red.

I'm a Huge red fan, as you may or may not have noticed.
