Photoshop Q & A

I believe this is how you would have to do it, drag and drop it on onto a transparent background, hit select up top and then hit color range, move the slider till it looks good, and hit the delete button. And then to retain the transparency, which I think is what you want, I think you have to save it as a .gif =)

Thanks for the help.
But how would I go doing that?
I'm a beginner/n00b at this stuff. lol

My way is probably the longer way then how it could be done, but, after you have your image open, right click the title bar of it, and hit image size, memorize it or write it down, next go to file>new and change the size to whatever you wrote down, and then under background, change it to transparent, hit ok. Now, take the arrow tool, and click and drag your first image onto your new transparent image and then do what I said about going to select>color range, moving the slider, selecting ok, and then hit the delete button on your keyboard =) Hope that helps/works, if not, post again lol

Yeah I'm confused I got the first part, the part I got confused at is this.

'Now, take the arrow tool, and click and drag your first image onto your new transparent image and then do what I said about going to select>color range, moving the slider, selecting ok, and then hit the delete button on your keyboard =) Hope that helps/works, if not, post again lol'

EDIT:When I try to upload it into Photobucket as a .gif it wont let me.

You can take it in Photoshop, use the Magic Wand tool on all the white and delete it (delete key). Make sure it's on a transparent background (to get one: copy the banner, Ctrl+N (make sure background type is transparent, not white), hit Enter, Paste banner). Then just Save As the image as a .png to get rid of the white. Do not flatten the image or the white will come back.

How would I take the white edges off this?
What's the best way to save it as like .jpg? or what?

I can help, but I need to know two things:

1. Is your banner still composed of various layers instead of being all one image on one layer?

2. Do you know how to unlock individual layers?

@Color: I'll try that.

@DGexe: I have no clue, I'm just a beginner person thing...O_o

.gifs are the crappiest file format out there. Use .png for transparent images. They're also the best format for images to be used on the web, which this is/will be.

EDIT: Thanks for all the help =)

My photoshop is being an idiot. For some reason it won't let me open the wireframe image that I REALLY NEED to continue with a signature... its a bmp file and everything so it should be opening but it isn't. -_-

Why isn't it?

Because it is dumb

Well convert it back. Just because the other ones are .bmp doesn't mean they're all the same.

I mean I tried it in the format it was already in and it didn't work so I thought it was because it wasn't bmp, so I converted it to bmp then tried it and it still didn't work.

Well why can't you use another wireframe? They basically all have the same elements. What does it say when you try to open it?

What file type was it after you downloaded the pack?
Also maybe re download the pack.
