Photoshop Q & A

Make sure that layer is selected then go to Edit>Transform>Rotate

Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it!

Having a huge annoying problem.

I'm at the end of making a new signature.

Tried to do the text.. and nothing appears, the text layer is there but no text is appearing (Just a normal, average-sized font). I restarted photoshop and it does the same thing. I opened up another canvas, done the text first and it worked.. then I tried to use a brush and nothing appeared...

Have I accidentally clicked something?

Eliminating common errors, is the text layer on top? It it the same color as your background? (Happens to me all the time, the color box on top is the one to change) Is your font size tiny relative to the signature? I can't think of any settings at the moment that would hide your text.

But if all else fails, and you say the text works on another canvas, why don't you just type it there, rasterize it, and copy-paste it onto the signature? From there you can do all the normal transformations and blending options as you would to normal text.

Hey guys.
Can someone tell me how to change the smudge settings in photoshop Elements?
Thanks, and is there any way of getting the pen tool on Photoshop Elements?

Also, something off topic...

It's Ma Birthday!

Yeh I'll probably have to do that in the end. It was nothing like colours and things.. I even just made it a regular size 14 font with a colour that would have shown on the background... nothing appeared. ^^ I think its working today again, not sure.
Thanks for your help.

Poke'd: Sorry to say but you can't do that in elements. =(
Renneh:
Also make sure you put the resolution of that canvas to 72 pixels.

I'M GONNA KISS YOU!!!

I think its working XP

I tried on a new file though and copy and pasted in, after opening a file though, how do I check the canvas resolution?

Question. :3 After a few minutes of opening Photoshop, my brushes turn really wierd-ish. It's definitely not the way it's supposed to be, since all of them turn really hard-edged. Anyone know what's wrong? O_o

You might be using pencil instead of brushes. Right click pencil, and go to brush(es).

Maybe someone else was using Photoshop?
Uhm... Maybe you accidentally hit a hot key or something and didn't realize it...
I don't know how to fix it though...

It could have been the pencil tool, or just a glitch. Don't worry about Photoshop does some pretty wierd glithes, like it once made my text all 72 size, no matter what font and size. xD;

If it is, it will go away. And be careful if it takes up your CPU space, that's another glitch ><

After I've downloaded new tools for photoshop such as brushes how do I use them?

Also...

When I've got a suitable picture for a render, how do I make it so that when I put it into the background, the background doesn't have this huge white box that comes with the render?

I don't understand your first question... You mean when you download brushes you don't have them? If that's the case, get your brushes where ever it is, copy it, go to my computer, local disk C, program files, Adobe, Photoshop (whatever version), presets, brushes, then paste it there.

As for the second question, look at your tools. Do you see something that looks like a wand? Well use that, click on the part you don't want, then press delete. And there you go! =)

For brushes right click and at the box on the top left corner there is a triangle click that then go to load brushes, choose your bush and click ok

as for the rendering use the magic eraser which can be found by right clicking on the eraser tool.

How do I apply a link to a picture?

If you mean something like this:
[PokeCommunity.com] Photoshop Q & A

[PokeCommunity.com] Photoshop Q & A
[PokeCommunity.com] Photoshop Q & A
[PokeCommunity.com] Photoshop Q & A
[PokeCommunity.com] Photoshop Q & A
[PokeCommunity.com] Photoshop Q & A
[PokeCommunity.com] Photoshop Q & A
[PokeCommunity.com] Photoshop Q & A

You have to use the slices tool and save for web.
They become separate images. And linking images to something doesn't involve photoshop at all.

Code:
[ url=your html here][img]your image link here[/img][/url]

Get rid of the space in front of the first url bracket and voila.

And like munna said; this isn't a photoshop problem, but whatever. xD;
